What's interesting is that the knowledge is given to everyone (the internet), yet now in 2017 we are having fewer and fewer leaders all the time. There are more followers than there are leaders. When a 'celebrity' has 30 million followers.. why are those 30 million not leaders as well?
This and Timestretch, two of thr most important tracks for any fan to appreciate the evolution of Nectar's most prominent sounds. This track laid the foundation for his hallmark surreal, twinkly, dream-like style. Dubuasca, Window Seat, Into the Sun, Reaching Out, pretty much everything from Unlimited, etc. All sprouted from this seed, planted by a dream about "holding something beautiful, and it's dying".
Man I miss this side of Bassnectar a lot. I was a teen when I discovered this album, was looking for more ambient glitchy stuff and came across this stuff, absolutely blew my mind. I still tune in to Lorin's stuff every now and then, he's an awesome sound wizard and seems like quite a spiritual individual. A sound healer maybe? 😂idk Shame about the allegations that came up a few years back, not sure that all the truth is in that, but glad the music is still important to him. I don't listen to all of it anymore, some of the more "wook" brostep/EDM stuff wasn't my cup of tea but some of it is amazing. It would be nice for him to drop a lil ambient/glitch/breaks EP tho haha
