He was great! Thoroughly enjoyed his performances. (I''m not so into big theatre productions, he was far more up my street! ) Thanks Matt if ever you're reading this...!
ive always been someone who thought i hated the idea of cruising and swore id never do it, but after seeing your videos i want to do it so bad! you make it look so fun :) (and as someone who gets very travel sick it is reassuring to hear u do too and still enjoy it LOL) thank u
For seasickness, the BEST nonmedicinal product is called "Sea•Bands". They were invented by 2 American nurses and can also be used for any kind of nausea, morning sickness, and any stomach upset causes. Essentially they are a pair of snug elastic wrist bands, each with a plastic 'button' that you position directly on your pulse and voila, you are seasick-free for as long as you wear it/them. (You can wear one SeaBand on one wrist only, or one on each wrist simultaneously.) My sisters and I took our Mom on an Alaska cruise one year, and as she has suffered from lifelong motion sickness, she packed her meclizine pills but then she would fall asleep on our whale-watching excursion and other adventures and miss out on everything. But she did NOT get sick! A couple of years later I found these SeaBands and we decided to take Mom on another Alaska cruise with a different itinerary. She wore the SeaBands and THEY WORKED GREAT! She stayed alert throughout the cruise, never had so much as a queasy stomach, and really enjoyed herself. I don't know why pulse point pressure solves the motion sickness problem, but it does. I think a pair used to cost $5 incl a little plastic storage case, but that was about 20 years ago so who knows how much they are know. Stop taking meds that can make you drowsy and get some SeaBands. And no, I don't own stock in the company. I just think it's a brilliant product.
It's nice to hear U R thoughtful about the workers on the ship.......I too tidy my cabin a bit before the cabin crew come in because they are soooo busy........People need to understand ship workers R not slaves.....When my kids cruise with me I tell them not to be cheeky with staff because staff have families to provide for and work hard.
Emma, When I was 17 back in 1982, I took a Christmas Cruise with my family, my Grandma and Grandpa, my Mom and my Brother and two Sisters on the MS Fairsea for a seven night cruise to Acapulco, Mexico that departed San Francisco and returned to Long Beach where we flew back to the Bay Area. It was an amazing voyage and we had five ports of call on our voyage with spending Christmas in port in Acapulco. We cruised with Sitmar Cruises on the MS Fairsea (2) and an interesting fact, Sitmar was purchased by P & O Cruises. Thank you for bringing back such a nice memory for me and Happy Christmas and a Merry New Year!
@@EmmaCruises That was in 1982 on board a ship that was launched in 1955. She was finally scrapped in 2006 after many lives with many companies, a 51 year life for a ship, she was a great vessel. They don't build them like they used to, they build them better but they don't seem to last as long as the old ships did. Love your channel and cruising with you. My last cruise was the Norwegian Coast cruse with Hurtigruten on the MS Trollfjord, have you ever done a Hurtigruten Cruise? If you haven't you should do the Norwegian Coast cruise, I have a feeling you'd think it's Brilliant and amazing, we did it in Summer with the midnight sun, but any time of year would be nice. The adventures of the excursions were so memorable. Check them out.
I went on a Cunard cruise for christmas one year and I turned 18 on the ship (Queen Victoria, 07'-08'). It was also an incredibly rough cruise where I visited Tenerife, Lisbon, Malaga, etc. And while I can't say I would cruise again, it certainly was memorable and an unconventional way to celebrate!
I was on the same cruise, and thoroughly enjoyed myself. Seeing your video brought a few smiles to my face. I saw you with your brother and mum at the Elvis talk, but didnt get a chance to say 'Hi'. Thanks for the enjoyable video.
I am so glad you had some proper Christmas weather - warm and sunny. I am Australian, and I was probably in my teens before I learned that a lot of people think Christmas should be cold and snowy. I knew it was cold and winter in the northern hemisphere, but for me Christmas is about warm sunny weather. I am so glad you got experience what I think is typical Christmas weather.
Yeah!!! So strange to think about that for me. I had a little book as a child about what christmas was like in different places and I remember seeing something about what Christmas was like in Australia and my mind was blown. 😂😂😂
@@EmmaCruisesFunnily enough snow at Christmas is probably not the norm for the majority of people on Earth. Probably about half of Christians either live in the in the Southern Hemisphere or in the tropics. Even in the Northern Hemisphere most people live in a place where snow is not common. Christmas falls at the beginning of winter, which is not coldest month, and it is only in the northernmost parts of the planet you will find snow is common at Christmas. I think the idea of snowy Christmases was made popular by Charles Dickens. When he was a child there was a particularly cold decade, and he wrote stories such as a Christmas Carol which harkened back to his childhood experiences. Now a lot of people associate snow with Christmas. I would like to experience a snowy Christmas once (I would need to go to Scotland I suppose) but once would be enough I think🙂.
Hi Emma, we we’re on the same Christmas cruise and had a great time. The Ventura is looking a little tired and needs some refurbishment as normal the crew were brilliant.
Ice skating in the atrium is so amazing. Wow! And yay for me getting the Boxing Day trivia question answered correctly thanks to our UK friends! ❤️ Love that virtual queue for dinner. Something all cruise lines should add to the anytime dining scheduling
You are truly a wonderful ambassador for ocean cruising, and have a lovely personality, you really strive to tell it As it is and that’s good. I personally would not do an ocean cruise but have done some river cruises and liked them. How anyone has criticised you I can’t agree with and I’m from the frozen north, good luck to you and do enjoy your happy pleasure.

Great video again thanks Emma. So I live in Australia and my parents were born in Malta and they all tell me that Boxing Day was the day you voted! In both countries up until the mid 70’s they used that day to vote. I’d never heard your explanation for Boxing Day before.
P&O sounds to be one of the most musical cruise lines. (Not an original joke, I'm sure) Thanks for the video. Blessings to Emma, Hudson, the family, and you!
Happy Holidays Emma, loved watching this video! My wife and I are from the US (outside Boston) but have spent 1/3rd of our Christmas holidays together in England where most of her family lives. This year we had Christmas in Kent with our English family & friends which was one of the best holidays we've had, and I have to mention that M&S holiday food selections are magical - we had so much fun planning a big meal for everyone. We also really love celebrating Boxing Day in the UK, Christmas in Europe can be quite magical!
I find it hard after an angry passenger performance to stay seated and not stand up applauding loudly the spectacle and performance because anyone that animated and emotionally charged over something so simple like not having a ticket for a show either is the greatest actor ever or needs to know a performance like that is only appropriate on the stage. Bravo. Free entertainment no one wanted. Emma your cruise reviews are next level, well done.
Yes I was on the 2021 Christmas Cruise with Sky Princess you are right there is some familiarity to P&O ship .PEPSI. And chocolate cake, i knew i liked you😊🚢. My trip was fantastic glad yours was too

Hey Les!!!!! So strange how that can happen isn’t it?! Apart from when Santa came out I didn’t realise how many people were there. Hope you had a great cruise😀❤️
Emma, nothing beats an ice cold Coca-Cola and watching Die Hard on Christmas Day. Followed by roasted chestnuts and spiked eggnog. Hope you are having a happy New Year, may this year be much better than the last two.
@@EmmaCruises by the way, today is Saturday January 8th and just got done watching Die Hard 2 on the Syfy channel which also takes place at Christmas. Only this time, I was enjoying an adult beverage, a nice cold beer. Happy New Year!
I appreciate you breaking this up into two videos and not using the weather as a reason to say something negative about the cruise. I recently had to do the same thing with a review of a hotel. I don't DO reviews, but they asked, so I thought about it. The hotel was gorgeous, amazing, very comfy, but terrible for children, and there were things the website absolutely left out - like our rooms opened to a PUBLIC bar. Very strange . . . BUT, this wasn't marketed to families, nor is it a place most families would take their kids, so I chose not to complain about things that weren't child friendly. It didn't seem fair. Anyway, hopefully more rational and fair minded folks such as ourselves will be the norm, instead of the overly sensational freak-out reviews that dominate social media spaces.
We love watching your videos, and would love to cruise more. We did a seacation on Regal Princess in August. Prior to that Celebrity Galaxy way back in 1999 in the Caribbean. And, I hate to say, prior to that, 1973 (I was 11) for my Dad and I on Union Castle Reina Del Mar (only just over 20,000 tonnes) on a very similar itinerary to what you have just done. How it has all changed. Clearly, I need to watch more of you videos to inspire us to go on a cruise later this year. Thank you for what you do.
Glad that you and your family were able to celebrate Christmas together on a cruise. As for the plates of cookies in your cabin, that reminds me to beware of accepting cookies on websites 🍪 😆
I know I am late to the party, but..... Die Hard is DEFINITELY a Christmas movie!!! ;) Taking a Christmas Cruise on the Crown Princess next December 22nd!! ;) So excited!
My only cruise was a Christmas cruise, way back in the ‘80s on the SS Norway (RIP).I did enjoy the Christmas formal night for dinner, I enjoy dressing up for big occasions like weddings and such. As a bonus, Filipino restaurant staff recognized we were also Filipino, and they snuck us into their Filipino crew Christmas party for a bit. There were a couple of Christmas cruising features that took adjusting. As I’ve always lived in northern climates and am used to snowy or rainy Christmas, visiting St. Maarten on Boxing Day and St. Thomas the next while wearing shorts was strange. Being away from extended family and friends in the holiday was uncomfortable (it was just my parents and siblings). As I was 21, the cruise served as an opportunity to try grown-up things like bars, a therapeutic massage, the casino and the sauna, and I enjoyed that. The lines were a pain, but I just put up with that like I put up with lines at the airport or a Disney park. Overall it was a fun experience, and I’d like to go on another cruise, but on a less-popular time of year. Just two things upset me. 1) A lot of guests treated the crew very rudely, and I hated having to witness that. 2) I decided to try the cruise’s “Singles Night”; unfortunately for me, because of the huge proportion of extended families on that Christmas cruise, I and the dozen other attendees of Singles Night were heterosexual males. We all looked at each other, said “Screw it”, and bailed.
Nice to see the photo of your family. We hear about them but never get a chance to meet them, thanks. I am surprised that cruise ships do not understand an individual's desire to not drink alcohol. They might have fewer passengers falling overboard.
Am enjoying these. Brothers-in-law love a cruise. My idea of hell - although tempted by the River Cruise video - easy to get to the cities and culture. Boxing Day. Not as stated. Money to the poor (poor boxes in church) rather than take home by workers. In the scale of things, a small thing. Fab videos.
I was on that cruise! Watching a helicopter evacuation while eating at the buffet was interesting to say the least and it was a shame that we missed madeira. But overall the storms and seasickness was worth it
Omg same! I also spent my first Christmas on a cruise, I got back a couple days ago! Mind you its only my second cruise but I had a lot of fun! It doesn't top my first cruise but I would definitely do it again! Can't wait to see the video where you talk more about the seasickness you got.
What a beautiful, well done video (even better than the last one) as the ship was decorated with such amazing style. You are fabulous and thank you for sharing your holiday with us viewers.
Great synopsis. Glad you got to spend time with the family in this COVID world. Die Hard is indeed a Holiday tradition, but my wife shares your opinion. lol. Looks like a great feast and fun!
Emma Great and well done video!! Interesting the Covid precautions and rules. Yorkshire Pudding looked really good. Glad you and your family had a wonderful cruise. Your ship looked very much like a Princess ship! Wonderful family photo at dinner. Happy New Year!!! Jennifer and Duncan
I believe that "have a lie in [with chocolate]" is definitely a Britishism. "Have a go" also sounds like a bit of a Britishism. "Cookie lady" may be a Britishism; I've never heard it in the US. Please advise. That was a fun trip report; I look forward to part 2.
Haha!! Lay in definitely is, you’d say slept in j think? Have a go, I can’t imagine what else I’d say if I didn’t say that. Cookie lady isn’t a thing I just made that up 😂❤️

Hey Les!!!!! So strange how that can happen isn’t it?! Apart from when Santa came out I didn’t realise how many people were there. Hope you had a great cruise😀❤️
I was on the same ship a few cruises before and I got to witness the christmas decorations being put up. The tree was massive!
Emma, nothing beats an ice cold Coca-Cola and watching Die Hard on Christmas Day. Followed by roasted chestnuts and spiked eggnog.
Hope you are having a happy New Year, may this year be much better than the last two.
Ha ha 🤣🤣🤣🤣
Anyway, hopefully more rational and fair minded folks such as ourselves will be the norm, instead of the overly sensational freak-out reviews that dominate social media spaces.
you are right , Die hard isnt A Christmas movie , its THE Christmas movie!
You have a great vibe about you and I really enjoyed your video ty for sharing
We love watching your videos, and would love to cruise more.
We did a seacation on Regal Princess in August. Prior to that Celebrity Galaxy way back in 1999 in the Caribbean. And, I hate to say, prior to that, 1973 (I was 11) for my Dad and I on Union Castle Reina Del Mar (only just over 20,000 tonnes) on a very similar itinerary to what you have just done. How it has all changed.
Clearly, I need to watch more of you videos to inspire us to go on a cruise later this year. Thank you for what you do.
Yesss, thank you!! ❤️❤️❤️
Die hard is the best Christmas movie ever 🤷♂️🤣😂
Your channel is my new cruise vlogger obsession. Love the way you produce your content! And the Brittish-ism
A great Xmas day picture of you & your family all dressed up at Dinner. Happy & safe 2022 sailing’s 🤓👍. M&Y
Hey Mark and Yvonne!!!!!
Glad that you and your family were able to celebrate Christmas together on a cruise. As for the plates of cookies in your cabin, that reminds me to beware of accepting cookies on websites 🍪 😆
🤣🤣🤣🤣
Die hard is absolutely a Christmas movie lol.
I know I am late to the party, but..... Die Hard is DEFINITELY a Christmas movie!!! ;) Taking a Christmas Cruise on the Crown Princess next December 22nd!! ;) So excited!
Lol Die Hard is totally a Christmas movie (love your work!) 👍
The inner child here loved this one =) Gotta get me that label someday too!
Die Hard IS a Christmas Movie !!! 🤣🤣
Great review Emma of your cruise. Love that you kept things moving along.
Thanks David! ❤️
Loved the snowman cookie!
Fab videos.
yeah Emma. Unconventional it is. Thank you always. And so happy you were with your family. Happy New Year a few days late. PS love that golden ring.
YES! Thanks Dylan, it was my nan's wedding ring and I've worn it since she died. ❤
@@EmmaCruises Awesome. Cheers
Asa Elliot s fantastic ( Ive had the pleasure of meeting him in Spain.) as is Ann Widdecombe. Looks like you had a pretty good cruise.
Always find Ventura and Britannia spacious, even when full unlike larger ships!
Thanks Arielle! 😀❤️
What a beautiful, well done video (even better than the last one) as the ship was decorated with such amazing style. You are fabulous and thank you for sharing your holiday with us viewers.
Thanks so much Susan! ❤️
Great synopsis. Glad you got to spend time with the family in this COVID world. Die Hard is indeed a Holiday tradition, but my wife shares your opinion. lol. Looks like a great feast and fun!
Emma
Great and well done video!! Interesting the Covid precautions and rules. Yorkshire Pudding looked really good. Glad you and your family had a wonderful cruise. Your ship looked very much like a Princess ship! Wonderful family photo at dinner.
Happy New Year!!!
Jennifer and Duncan
Thanks both!!! 😀❤️
Cookie lady isn’t a thing I just made that up 😂❤️
Our favorite Christmas cruise was the Royal Princess who had a snow making machine working in the Piazza during the tree lighting.
Woah!! 😀👏🏼
Enjoy your videos. Your very positive. Nice to hear. Keep up the good work.
Thank you! 😁❤️
Yes! Christmas is the one day of the year we have candy for breakfast! We open our stockings to find out what we're having for breakfast, haha!
Haha! 🤣🤣🤣
Thanks for sharing … my wife & I will be doing Christmas and New Years aboard Regent Splendor via the Panama Canal for the fist time this year. Sounds wonderful!
Sounds amazing 🤩
As a Canadian, 25* Celsius is perfect. ❤
Wow. It felt just like Princess while watching this. I will never get to do a Christmas so It was fun to watch. Hope you had a great Christmas and New Year.
Thanks Joel ❤️❤️❤️
Thanks again Emma. Your description and experience's are always great. You have tempted me to try a Christmas cruise. Yo Ho Ho
I'm with you on "Die Hard" not being a Christmas movie.
I love how P&O ensured everyone followed covid safety protocols with no exceptions and it all made sense!
This alone would encourage me to fly across the pond back into one of their cruises.
Emma, cruising over Christmas with your family looked awesome!!!
Thank you! Yep it was very well done. Thanks for watching 😀👏🏼
Die Hard definitely is a Christmas Movie! Thanks for the great video. 👍
Thank you! 😁❤️
Emma - love your videos. Keep up the great work!
PS - Die Hard is a Christmas movie ;)
I’ve taken cruises at Christmas time and found them very enjoyable.
Glad you had a good Christmas. Interested in the next video talking about the weather. I saw the pool swaying. Wow! Love your videos. They are so relaxing to watch.
Thanks Jaye, so happy to hear that. 😀❤️
Well Done Emma! Beautiful Everything...Ship, Cabin, Food, Decorations! Thanks! Stay Safe!♥♥
Thanks Thomas!! ❤️❤️❤️
I love the dressing room area on P&O.
My first ever cruise was on P&O's (Old) Arcadia, over Christmas and New Year...
Back then, standards were much higher on P&O, that's for sure.
What Do you mean with: Die Hard is not an christmas movie? 🤔😳🤭
Of course it is 🤗😂🤣😂🤣😂🤣😂
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
If you "have to" have a nickname...."The Cookie Lady" is a pretty good one. Haha.
Diehard is definitely a Christmas movie! LOL
Haha!! 🤣🤣🤣
You had me at Yorkshire Pudding and then Christmas Crackers 😱 That sounds like a real Christmas cruise.
Haha, really was 😀❤️
It would be strange for me to do crushing on Christmas day. But good to see you all enjoying it.
