The key to making REAL change | No More Hiding | STEP 5 of 12 SONGS for 12 STEPS OF RECOVERY

[Mantrasong 044 - "No More Hiding"] Step 5 of the 12 steps gets scary. It invites us to “admit the EXACT nature of our wrongs to God, ourselves, and another human being”. Nothing about this is comfortable. But everything about it is what we need. Whether you are battling a substance addiction, or you are waking up to the fact that you’re addicted to your phone, your work, or your uncontrollable negative patterns of thinking - coming clean by reaching out to someone is the giant step you need to move you into action. Get specific. Get vulnerable.
I wanted this Mantrasong to back up this energy of specificity and vulnerability. I wanted it to feel urgent and also human. I invited my friend, singer/songwriter Jenny Miller, to accompany me on this one because I knew she could embody the spirit of it well. Also, special thanks to Larry Boatright for his skills on bass and production assistance.
