Why need to stop for a school bus on the opposite lane, when NO kid is crossing the streets??? How about some kids exiting a city transit bus and jaywalking!!??
The problem is the same as the red light cams. It goes against the owner not necessarily the driver. Plus who does the ticketed person face in court? Sounds like it will fall under house bill 1631. The other concern is did the school board sign the same contact that Humble is stuck in? People are still getting red light tickets with late fees and credit report threats from these citations when they don't pay them. Also, Humble PDs Website doesn't address that these citations don't have to be paid, like they are just letting people pay them without fully explaining they are not enforceable which seems a bit sketchy. I like the idea of cameras on school buses for this issue but it can't be automated. either the bus driver or an on board officer should be given a button to manually capture the offense and the ability for owners not driving the vehicle to have it dismissed, for it to be held up in court.
why don't you just have the other driver sign a waiver before lending out your car that says they are responsible for damage and any tickets incurred. simple.

Is it 10 seconds? Or 15 seconds prior? Does the camera activate when the amber lights are turned on?
It's a method to generate income.
Instead of generating income just suspend licenses since people can't obey traffic laws.
Why need to stop for a school bus on the opposite lane, when NO kid is crossing the streets??? How about some kids exiting a city transit bus and jaywalking!!??
if there is a physical constructed divider or barrier no you don't but if its drawn on the road you then might have to stop.
Because It's the Law!
It obviously shows them blowing thru a stop sign so yea I believe the tickets are issued fairly. I support the bus cameras.
It was 2-lanes each way, so no need to stop on opposite traffic. Only apply to 1-lane each way.
The law says EVERYONE stops, unless there’s a barrier dividing the opposing traffic. No excuse.
So school buses are police cars interesting
