  • Looking directly into my creek jar with my new stereoscope is quickly turning into it's own sub-hobby! This time I used my super high power LED to light the scene which allows me to expose at very low ISO.

Got some good footage done today for my next major vid - sorry it's taking so long, I want to make it a good one! Hoping to finish up this weekend!

Hi Tom. What does the whole jar look like? Is it sealed?

@@lindielin9912 Hey here's a link to a similar setup (though I used a different light for this): i.imgur.com/K2RD5ou.jpg
I had it covered for a while, but I've just been leaving it open lately. I add bottled water from time to time when it evaporates.
And you can call me Jason :)

That looks really nice. Have you ever discussed your stereo scope in a video? I find it very difficult to get information about stereo scopes and how to tell a good one from one that is less good. It's much harder than finding information on compound scopes.

Not yet! Frankly I picked this up on a whim and can't really provide a ton of insight on them myself. It's a Bausch and Lomb and that's a quality company, that's as much as I know!

@@diettoms Well, it looks great. I have what I think is a very good trinocular stereo scope, but I've never attached a camera to it. *blush*

Thanks! I think a good bit of credit goes to the microbes inside for keeping the water nice and clear. You definitely should try it out! This was simply taken through one of the eyepiece tubes with my 23mm scope adapter.
