I didn’t mention catalog. Definitely one of the primary cases we recommend the song a week strategy for newer artists. Also, in the case when they are rebranding, the song a week strategy can help speed up the rebrand process if executed properly
@@BrandmanNetworkI’m not going to lie i was pissed cause it didn’t blow me up 😂😂 but after I got passed the emotional destress I was proud of myself . Then I realized that had to make content so I started making content and that started to work
@@TherealSEPT6IXI drop a song every month and I’m averaging 9k Spotify streams per month. If you don’t promote with content it doesn’t matter how much you drop💯 content on TikTok can and will have a big influence on the algorithm of streaming platforms. Once the algorithm recognizes your driving organic traffic to them they will put your music on the radio and playlists like discover weekly..
I spoke about this the other day with fellow musicians, the conclusion between us is. Quality over Quantity. Consistency and Marketing are the most important factors to becoming a successful Artist.. 👍🏾
I am an old-school hip-hop, music producer, I dabble in trap here in there. I started distributing my music February 3rd I dropped a beat tape that day. Then I dropped a single beat the next Saturday and I did this continuously till now, so one beat tape one single one beat tape, one single and I’m continuously averaging 500 streams per day I had more listeners in the beginning of my streaming days then I do now, but I do have a consistent amount of streams. I have 23 beats out totaling 28,070 streams from February 3 to April 6.
I try to drop every 3-4 weeks Try to give the song time to breathe but I be eager to drop I hate holding on to music So the 3-4 weeks is kinda a sweet spot so I’m not waiting too long
If you don't make a mainstream genre, none of the advice from any of the RUclips music gurus makes any difference at all. I have, over the last few years, done releases at 6 or 8 week intervals and also weekly. Whether they do well or less well bears no relationship to how often we release tracks. It's down to various other factors and the main one is, unfortunately perhaps, pure luck.
The main factor is quality and marketing. Dropping a song itself not gonna help you. If you not going anywhere the music must not be that good so take a step back, take voice lessons, learn an instrument or theory to get better at production go at it Again. Song a week but not flooding all your social media with content you will go nowhere
I did 7 songs since February 26th 2024 inspired by the "Make Art not content" channel's Prince workflow video . I've reached 96 thousand Instagram accounts last 30 days and have consistently reached that many last 18 months
If you don’t have video content to back up the songs then you’re defeating the purpose. Content is king. new artist need to be out there (visually) as much as possible. You need people to see your face so they can get familiar with who you are. Making the music. is easy. The content/marketing is where artist struggle
Correct. Music is absolutely worthless. Most songs are never heard by anyone. You have to be selling yourself and building a social media following. The music is just the icing on the cake.
If you drop 2 songs and your not getting the traction you want slow down and take your time to create something from another angle and that may work don't be repative for no reason 🧐
Lol. Nice to see someone who's new here. The plaques in the back aren't decoration or fan art man. Also, not even 4% of what we've done at this point. Go to our agency website at www.ContraBrand.agency to get a sense of who we've worked with.

Thank you !
Those are very solid points.
I'm doing this song a week thing because I wanted to try being consistent for a year and see what will be the results.
That part 💯
I try to drop every 3-4 weeks
Try to give the song time to breathe but I be eager to drop I hate holding on to music
So the 3-4 weeks is kinda a sweet spot so I’m not waiting too long
This was full of gems. I appreciate it.
Man you’re the goat. Love your content
reminds me of a book im reading called “Start with Why” gotta have a real goal
Right next to it, is the Book, "People over Profit"
Makes sense. Thank you for the post
I really liked this perspective a lot. Thank you for keeping it real

Pure luck? I believe the main factor is believing in yourself. Being able to influence heavily is either a skill you learn or are born with.

This was so helpful we or independent out of st.louis we took a break and now or dropping consistently it’s just hard to drive people to the music
