I like how Frazier snatches the beer out of the guy's hand and the guy stands up and realizes that it's Joe Frazier, lol! He probably knew at that point that he couldn't do a damn thing about it! Great commercial for a great man! RIP Joe Frazier. Boxing fans around the world love you and miss you.
Out of all the good Miller Lite Beer Commercials back in the day, this was my favorite. AlthoughI remember his battles with Ali and Foreman, when I heard about his untimely passing, this commercial came to mind because I always laughed at the end when he looked back at the silent crowd with that ring face in order for them to acknowledge his soulful vocals with applause. Entertaining indeed. Rest In Peace Joe. You were great!!!
You ever watched Midnight In Paris? It explains exactly what you're talking about. People are always lead to believe generations before them were the best, yet those generations believed the very same thing. Your grand kids will probably be in awe of the celebs and the culture of your day. Weird, but true.
I heard he later defected to Annheser Busch Natural Light, because it had a kick like that corn liquor they used to drink down south. He said "Miller Lite don't have that kick." Natural Light was the New Coke of light beers, after a couple years, they brought out Bud Light and the rest is history.
@antbird Ali got all the attention for his personality but Frazier had a charismatic personality as well, as this commercial shows. I agree with you, we just don't have the cool sports personalities these days. Most of today's athletes are money hungry selfish divas.
I bet he couldn't see himself doing Miller lite commercials when he was working at the slaughterhouse in Philly. Nothing short of a legend! They need to take down Rocky's statue and put Joe's statue up in Philly ASAP, what a shame its absurd!
