This one is slightly different if you look at the official graph on Linsoul. The upper treble can sound sharper, its not as HBB typical but with the bass shelf, it was how they chose to do it.
I love mine, it goes well with my phone dac/amp but as you said scales well with a little more powerful source (a cheap cx31993 dongle does the job done). Is a heavy bass set and takes eq like a champ so the weird peaks are tamed and sounds overall better than stock, but i understand what they intended. Linsoul has their graph up on the listing, there are less peaks than our cheap couplers show. I would be with you though, make a couple tweaks for my ears.
Ironically the one I showed, KZ Saga bass or KZ Dream. They are similarly basshead. Castor has a different bass shelf, but if you are just looking for a hip hop big subbass style, Saga is very listenable to me.

I do love a dual DD design, how would it compare to the HBB Kailua with a similar dual DD design? They are both similarly priced now that the Kailua has had that 50% off for months now.
Just because they have similar driver configurations, and are both HBB tuned IEMs, doesn't mean they will sound the same. Or be comparable. The Kailua is a neutral vocal forward set that leans towards bright, with decent bass texture, and a solid soundstage. Where as the Elua has significantly more bass quantity, and more treble energy above 5k, but neither in the same quality as the Kailua. In the Pina Gain region below 4k, where Paul was talking about, the Kailua has a bunch more energy. This can be problematic for some people, as Paul said, that are sensitive to that region. But that is part of what makes the Kailua a vocal forward set. Now the biggest differences between the Kailua and the Elua is the build quality. The Kailua, despite being a couple years old now, and being on perpetual sale, is VERY well built. With its all metal shell and faceplate, and excellent build quality, it feels every bit like the $80 IEM it used to be. The Elua, is basically the same plastic material as the Zero2. It's not "bad", it's certainly serviceable... But it's not going to win it any quality awards. The one thing that should be noted about the Kailua, is that it has a very odd nozzle position, and it requires you to twist lock the IEM into your ear, and it also makes them very tip dependent. And as such, they are not the IEM for everyone, even if it has a fun neutral tuning. For

They are wildly different IEMs, from price points on opposite ends of the spectrum. The biggest thing you will "get" from the Elua, is a cheaper IEM, built to a price point. So set your expectations on sound and build quality accordingly. If you want another set to add to your Pokemon IEM collection, great. But don't expect it to be better than the Kailua.
Hey, between this and the Tripowin Vivace, which one would you say would sound closer to the Kefine Klean? They're both currently the $30 in my region and wanted a ultra-budget Klean to wear while on-the-go. Thanks!

No, that was the weak point on EM10 and the strong point of Variations. I think Dunu's Brain Dance and Crinacle Dusk with microplanars and BAs are the closest you get to Variations. Dusk is harder to get there without EQ.
That is why I spent a lot of time talking about the treble and how it influences the mids. Its not typical and as I said, will pair with some warmer sources or even smaller bore tips.

Will you review KZ Sonata? I may give up and buy Shanling Ea3 for a better all BA set. Have trn ba5.

Don't forget the "ZAR" that's my favourite basshead IEM from KZ. The Dawn has nearly an identical tuning as the ZAR. Saga bass is different
