    I’m a retired piano teacher and strongly recommend taking a couple years of piano lessons to learn to sightread and learn rhythm patterns in music. 🎶 Also, transposing songs into keys that are suited for your vocal range is very important.

    Are you using nasal airflow/ nasal resonance or is all the vibrations coming from the mouth?

    • @ramseyvoicestudio
      @ramseyvoicestudio  4 года назад +1

      Hey Dan, in a way your question assumes that the resonance should only be oral or nasal. Actually, most vowels have a combination of nasal and oral resonance. If you were just oral, it would sound like you have a cold. If you were just nasal, it would sound, well nasal. Overall, I'm singing more oral than nasal though

    • @ramseyvoicestudio
      @ramseyvoicestudio  4 года назад +3

      Hey Alison, as I mentioned. Part of singing any song is understanding your limits and picking songs that are right for you. Vocal training can help you get to a certain point, but I will never sing a Demi Lovato song better than her. Make sense?

  • @callmepanzer
    @callmepanzer 4 года назад +3

    Hi, Ramsey! I see western music requires various registers like chest voice, head voice, falsetto, mixed voice etc. But Indian musicians only require chest voice. Why is that? I mean if chest voice is enough for reaching my full tessitura then why do I need to learn other registers like head voice?

    • @ramseyvoicestudio
      @ramseyvoicestudio  4 года назад

      Hey Mir, by definition, if you're only using chest voice, then you're eliminating large segments of your potential range and tessitura. It's best to learn to sing across your entire range and make the chest voice sound as good as possible. Chances are if you're not singing with ANY head voice, then your chest voice range will suffer.

    • @callmepanzer
      @callmepanzer 4 года назад

      @@ramseyvoicestudio Well, I live in Bangladesh and our singers do their best my using only chest voice. They occassionaly use mild vocal fry and breathy chest voice but they don't use head voice, falsetto and mix voice. Yet they are having no problem with their singing.
      Does this mean a singer can sing easily only using chest voice?
