I didn't know you could roll under the Torizo. That would have made that fight much easier instead of trying to space jump over him through a small gap.
This is specifically nuts because playing this game without any guides on fusion mode, I ended up gravitating towards the exact same strategies organically. I timed my jumps with arachnus, I knew to roll under the legs because you could do that in Super Metroid, I used the Spider ball after bashing my head against the wall and learning that Zeta Metroids can't attack above themselves, along with the safe spot for omegas, and I stuck to the walls with Serris near the exits because I learned it couldn't turn fast enough to damage me in the corners. The only difference here is with the queen metroid. I always aimed straight up to catch those green spike balls so I didn't risk rolling into morph ball and getting hit. As with the Tester, I trusted my projectiles beyond the screen and shot missiles and my beam straight up even when it was off screen since the tester always defaults to the center column of the room in its X position. Also, I used missiles against the tank's metal shell because I always thought it was immune to non-plasma shots. Guess I was wrong.
Ha, I didn't even know you could freeze the green globs during the queen fight, I would always just screw attack in place to keep them off me until they disappeared, and in particular the last room was very cramped doing that.
