    There is always someone out there that will say something nasty, there so full of themselves! And such boring people, you can only do your best! I think you're all great!!!!!

    great job. sometimes I run around with a starrett protractor and check angles on outside corners if I think they might be well off the 90. always write the angle on the wall. protractors are great around bay windows etc. Thanks for sharing. top stuff.

    Nice to see scribing by hand. It was how I was taught, we had pine skirting too! Top work. 👍

    Also following Perkins Brothers. Also that bit magnet on their tool belt is gold !
    Must admit that I caulk more because also along the whole top of the skirting.

      Perkins is a great channel and I have just purchased their tool belt they designed and have been using it for a couple of weeks now. It is excellent the best one I’ve had. Thanks for commenting on our channel. 👍🏻

    I noticed that the door frames to the bedrooms are rebated, I am aware it's a loft conversion but is this necessary for your BI to sign off. Worked on domestic houses with loft conversions before and the linings were always 28mm thick. What thickness timber are they made from ?

    • @mrabuilders6723
      @mrabuilders6723  Год назад +1

      Hi Kevin. I have used planted stop fire door frames before but they are generally 1 hour frames which means the rebate would be 25mm. There is only 1/2 hour required in this scenario and if you buy fire door frames you will/should get a substantial frame. In this instance I can’t remember the exact size but they were the equivalent to having a machined 150mm x 50mm timber with a rebate in👍🏻

    I generally end up +1 or -1 * on each miter these days, I'm just doing it now out of habit and finding miters nice and tight rather than marking the back

    • @mrabuilders6723
      @mrabuilders6723  Год назад

      Hi Gavin thanks for commenting. It’s habit for me now to do it that way and takes no extra time but if I just got on with it, fitted perfect mitres/scribes and said how good am I people wouldn’t watch or hurl abuse. 😁😁👍🏻

    Rip the architrave down before u glue them together and hang your doors first then u can move the lining out if u need to.

    • @mrabuilders6723
      @mrabuilders6723  Год назад +2

      Can’t disagree with you but if you missed it in the video I was plowing ahead and trying to film and the put the architrave together on the one I scribed by mistake and whenever we film anything we always show what went wrong as well. With regards to the doors on first again, I agree but the amount of time between the linings going in and the door hanging they may have got damaged or covered in plaster. They have had oak doors so didn’t want to risk the potential damage.
      Thanks for commenting mate appreciate your time.

    I always scribe and mitre architrave where can’t get a full piece. For me least the profile follows all the way round. Other than that awesome job 👍🏼👍🏼

      Hi Matthew thanks for commenting. As I said in the video It would have meant cutting into the moulding of the torus architrave and I don’t like it. Any other time I’d do the same and put a bastard mitre in the top architrave 👍🏻

      Not thinking ahead Joey would be the radiator specified for the size of the bathroom and the width of a bath going on the other side of the wall not fitting now that’s thinking ahead me old China . I tell my children don’t gob off until you know what your talking about and you have all the facts and this comment is a prime example.
