I've had my Chinook 1P for just over a year and have come to really rate it. I was worried about the quality to start with when all the reflective tape on the guy tabs fell off straight out of the box but happy now I've used it a fair bit.
@thegeordiewildcamper I'm forever catching the cover flap on the door zips. I've been pitching the wider end into the wind to get some shelter from the wind so I can cook with the door open. Seems to handle it ok.
Nice one Steven. Was up there last night. 5 tents up around the summit. Managed to get pitched up just away from the summit looking down to the road. Had some stunning skies like you did but all clagged in after midnight. ATB 👍
What a location btw! The ol' Chinook looks a knack to put up kinda thng 🤣 You should see about a 1 plus inner to see whether itll go in to give you some extra space. Works like the scarp inner i think......roll the vestibules in and out dependant on your needs. Ive not fact checked that it works though 😊 Kerp the videos coming mate, Adge
@@thegeordiewildcamper as with anything mate.....there's always a Knack 😊 No, very rare. I'm only going off their website tbf. 1.5 inner looks a winner if it'll fit. Flexibility to open up the inner when you need it or the bigger porch when you're cooking etc 😊
Think that’s becomes the most pitched mountain in the lakes bar maybe Helvellyn. Can see why, cracking views looking down Buttermere valley. Brilliant video ad always Steven, ATVB Robert
Stunning mate. And the morning. Love those conditions. What camera did you use for the night sky timelapse? I’m signing up to Readly now. Used to read a magazine every week growing up, haven’t in almost 20 years! Will check some out although without the smell I’m not sure it’ll be the same feeling
Nice camp! Love the shape, vestibule and door configuration of the tent (close outer door so you have large area to cook in etc), but the tent area is tiny, too small for me! Its a very personal thing, I guess. Thanks for a great video!
Something else that, the conditions were perfect for a winter camp. Very jealous! No a bad looking wee tent that, ticks all the right boxes if you don't have the budget for a Hildebeast. ATVB
How many times did I check the sky watch? Answers on a postcard please…
What did you think of the new tent? I think it’s a keeper?!?
Looks a cracking tent. I actually really like all the colours for the Chinook. Keep up the class content!
Excellent video Stephen, really well filmed. Shame I never get any nice weather like that 😂
Thanks Dave mate, yeah weather turned out pretty nice on this one
Hi Steven, great camp! I like the look of the Chinooks, but the 1P looks a bit tight inside for me. I like my space. Good solid tent though. 😊
They do offer a 1.5 inner?

Yeah mate I felt the same tbh…although slowly becoming a real gem. I’ve got some reservation on the doors. Thanks for watching

@ yeah exactly what I’ve been doing!

Yeah was a bit manic up there. I’ll look out for the video buddy!
@ I did a video there last month so didn’t bother filming again.
@ sometimes nice to enjoy the moment Dave. Catch you next time 👍
Cracking video there Steve, with some great camera work. Can I ask what rucksack you've got there? Thanks
Quality as always pal. Which drone do you use? The footage looks belting

Thanks Chris, surprisingly it’s was an action Cam! I should have left the full frame out but batteries would have capitulated without a powerbank!
Corking video as always pal. Which drone do you use? The clips looked class. Andy
Cheers mate it’s the DJI pro 3
