I owned two of these and they both had enormous problems with main oil seals, and short-lived transmissions. That's a lot of trouble, and I *still* think they're the greatest car ever made.
Great car. The facelifted one, although more expensive, has a reverse parking camera and some even have adaptive cruise control. It also has 6 gears rather than the 5 of this one for slightly better economy although the lpg of this one will more than offset it
I mean it’s still a V8, even though it’s weak. Put a nice aftermarket exhaust on it and it’ll sound awesome, although that’s not what that car is about
Nice review! Very accurate, better than any other review on the model. I’m looking for a nice cruiser and I was actually thinking of getting a low mileage one and converting it to LPG to keep it for a long time. Do you happen to know what the capacity of the LPG tank on the model you tested is?
These "old bangers" do however now seem to be rising in value? Never mind the annual road tax bill either. Love to have one but it has gotta be cheap to buy and the advert prices seem to be on the up over past couple of years.
We’re actually offended that you think you need to point out the sarcasm. We are British after all. What Harry was attempting to explain is (and I think you know this deep down) other rivals, namely BMW, can make luxurious AND sporty cars like the 7 series. The Lexus is set up purely for luxury as you so kindly point out. We just don’t think it’s the big deal you seem to think it is.
Yeah you're right I got annoyed after 2 minutes. Having done the hard yards myself in £300 cars and truly valued them as a representation of something I'd worked hard to own it was tough hearing him say "who cares, it was a thousand pounds". Its a nice car and a great piece of engineering who cares how much it costs, someone can own that and truly value it - as you clearly do, respect. Looking at picking one up myself
Brilliant, if I only described the car by ways it missed its design remit it would be an incredibly short video. There are other cars in the segment aimed at the eager driver (bmw 7 series) that do have engaging steering and its a pretty basic bit of driving dynamics that I would hope any review of any vehicle would mention.

The MPG almost defies belief considering its a 5 speed V8, doesn't really struggle to get 30mpg
The story goes that Lexus were using a British Airways first class cabin as their inspiration for the interior.
Yes along with a couple of 5 star hotels, I'm not really sure how they come into it but it does have a luxury airliner sort of feel
Outstanding cars.. had an ls400 in the 90s.
And the amazing this about them is you could probably go out and buy another LS400 now and it would still be working as well as it did in the 90s
Loved the vid. Looking at getting one of theses as a classic car or an S class w140 but leaning towards this. Many thanks really enjoyed the vid 👍👍
Glad you liked it!
18:19 actually sounds quite good

I have a 2004 ls430 and it's my favorite car.
Good for you - they drive very well have a high-quality interior and are very luxurious 😁

I have one with LPG. I will never part with it. Probably about 75 litres on tank.
@@biggerbitcoin5126 what mpg are you getting?
@@ChristRedeemsMinistry 29 mpg on lpg
@@biggerbitcoin5126 thank you and what’s the cost to fill a tank?
Thanks for watching
Excellent review
Cheers Michael! Plenty more on my ‘Harry Reviews’ playlist

This video is a couple of years old
You mean it's not a sports car......well I'll be damned......I thought the LFA was the luxury car (a bit of sarcasm just in case you don't get it)

The BEST CAR and THE BEST deal on earth, be guided by people who have found out !
I dunno 2 for Tuesday's is a pretty solid deal
wipers go the "wong" way ? i think not, they drive on the left in japan, as WE do 😕😕
They go down instead of up, nothing to do with which side of the car the wheel is on
@@BuckleUpShow yep, you got that bit right, they do indeed sequence, altogether now..........up down up down up down................ad infinitum.
You're not very bright are you
Million mile Lexus
Did we mention that?
@@BuckleUpShow wasn't mentioned enough
I feel like he is too negative about this car, it just has surface rust. Or, maybe my feelings are hurt because I love mine.

I really liked this car
the steering`s NOT "full of feeling" like a sports car....um DUR, it`s not supposed to be 🤭🤭🤭🤭

@@BuckleUpShow Probably better to make the video shorter and not compare it to a sports car.
We look forward to your video on the subject
