@electrickabuki 1st, why do you get in this discussion? it's not your business... but still, youtube's free after all.. 2nd, you're throwing those links because? 3rd, if my guess on the 2nd point is correct, then this bunbunmei should really thank you for putting him at the level of the music in those videos, because what he does in this one, certainly is not music. (and here it goes all over again im sure.........)
@electrickabuki now, from points 1 and 2, i only want to say: failing at WHAT?..... and then... you just had to spoil your whole argument dude, hahaha! so this guy is a Musician? by the same definition of music, which has many interpretations, i know that, is the same reason of why i dont think this guy as a musician. by your reasoning, i'll just pick a couple of sticks, grab a piece of wood, and start hitting it with the sticks, and so im a fucking musician now! get the basics man
@lordoid ok that's it. im tired of this shit...here goes what wiki says in its first paragraph, which pretty much totally explains the whole point: Music is an art form whose medium is sound and silence. Its common elements are pitch (which governs melody and harmony), rhythm (and its associated concepts tempo, meter, and articulation), dynamics, and the sonic qualities of timbre and texture. The word derives from Greek μουσική (mousike; "art of the Muses"). ...(continues)
@lordoid ....from before: the paragraph about improvisation, first and before everything, deals about Musical Improvisation....this guy DOES NOT CREATE MUSIC HERE!! so, reply again if you want, but this is way over man. you're not gonna change my mind. if you think this is music, go ahead, obviously you dont know a damn about that, but hey, i dont care about it either.
how about a table and some chairs?????? anyway, this sucks but its damn cool that he -what the fuck is he doing now!???? - anyway, this sucks but its damn cool that he uses the cheap ass micromoog and rogue too.
@juandhaltrich That's a huge proclamation. Explain how one mans creative expression doesn't count as the art of music? Other than hamming it up as he enjoys himself, what part would you say is missing from this jam session? His song may be incomplete but Acid rock breaks the convention of traditional music making. If you don't think this is 'music' then you are dismissing all experimental acid rock. Thanks for the inspiring live musical jam session Bunmei-san.
Man, what is up with the haters on this page?? At least the dude is doing his OWN thing. Where are YOUR videos? People who claim to have the "Know all knowledge" about what real music is should go back to their day jobs where they belong. This guy is having a blasting with his Moogs. Salute.
WOW this is awesome i wasnt sure if it was going to be music at first but after i heard a few moments of it i knew it was gong to be EPIC nice job at this idk what your doing but it sounds awesome
id rather watch and listen to this than all these shit 'jobs for the comedy boys' British TV 'panel games' shows that our BBC licence money gets spunked on...more power to your Moog elbow my friend.....
Because YOU don't like the music doesn't mean its trash. I'm pretty sure quite a few people who goddamn love justin bieber think whatever you like and make is shit.
Hi Bunbunmei, awesome hypnotic space music! Do you have more recordings or have a website? What was that long black device that you played in the last few seconds?
Great solo's! Reminded me of Tim Blakes improvisation solo's. I had most of these models. The Mini, Rogue, Sonic 6 and Multimoog are my favorite monophonic moog's. However the sonic was not originally designed by Moog music. I still have the Multimoog in my studio. Thanks for sharing! *****
Two Minimoogs! and a Source, a Rogue, a Sonic Six and a Prodigy. I'd imagine that the arpeggio is coming from the Source.
That was AWESOME !
Just needs a drumcomputer.,...
I did enjoy it, you can keep your kind wishes to yourself.
Absolutely beautiful.
It looks mid of '70's movie. Bunmei died this year June 2014. He was one of great prog synthesizer player in Japan.
Do you know what groups he was in?
This is awesome :D
My legs would fall asleep if I sat like that for very long.
playing in crosslegged mode ala schulze- brilliant!
arstist : itora katushi (japon)
year : 1972
album name : Cosmishina (joke)
Similar licks to Jan Hammer on Led Boots by Jeff Beck.
Why are people hating?? This guy is playing some serious keys.
and he plays bad...
The original Steve Aoki
Perfect boy, you have the complete collection. You just forgot to learn basic keyboard playing ^_^
cool stuff, lets get you a few stands!
Look out Keith Emerson!^_^ Awesome stuff!
What else did you have for Christmas??
Only kidding...
Pretty damn amazing, so thanks.
THIS GIRL ROCKS!

that's very Emersonesque
che viaggione!

Damn baby girl
Alot more impressive without sequencers and echo....
He sounds so much like Jan Hammer, it's scary. Or is it Jan Hammer?
It's called a ribbon controller and i have no idea how you'd go about obtaining one other than building it yourself nowadays
Is that a manor a woman? I honestly don't know.
he did make some noise!
@chadinterrupted yeah wtf is he doing! I mean synths are cool and that but come on...
I would soooo smoke some green and sit in the circle and play all night....that would be the best, screw liquor I`ll take musiq over it anyday
1:52 Begin acid-wat-da-fak-mode here.
C'est une vraie performance de jouer en live tout ces synthétiseur
LOL, this totaly looks like it belongs on Tim and Eric Awesome show, Great Job!
1:54 - Alright you primitive screwheads, listen up. See this? This...is my MOOGSTICK!
If the women won't go for you, you have to get involved in staying in the basement doing stuff.
Thats not a memory, thats a moog Source.
What a rockin vid!!
安斎肇??

i thought for sure he would bust out with some light sabre moves with that ribbon controller

@Keybern EXACTLY... thats what i tried to tell some guy before in these comments, but people sometimes dont understand what Music really means
cool sounds. cool moogs... but still, that's not enough to call it MUSIC. that's a whole new level, and this fella didnt play music here.
WOW this is awesome
i wasnt sure if it was going to be music at first but after i heard a few moments of it i knew it was gong to be EPIC nice job at this idk what your doing but it sounds awesome

Those are some beautiful instruments, brother.
@noizy4 Sorry to hear about your rodent problem. Try playing Justin Beiber and in our experience the rodents flee.

if you mean it, then, maybe. If you're being sarcastic, then I'd feel sad.
I'm guessing the latter, so my response to that would be "go to hell."
i agree. but the sequence was probably from the source. on the first part he plays a sequence from the source.
i hate performance art. so this blond asian walks down to the factory picks up a toyota full of swinging kit,and now he's yoko ono with a sac??
i wish i could jam out on my friends LP....just end up playin some gay notes....still has amazing sound but complex jamming like this guy
If only one person told you that she really enjoyed reading your well-elaborated critique, would you cease from your suicidal idea?
even though that is hardly music. give the guy some credit, he doesn't troll youtube and beat off to justin beiber/miley cyrus videos
Full Analogue Jacket !
Electronic music before techno rythms are known.
Greetings to all Moog fans!
I don't understand the people who use these top analog synth like a flute jam. It is like using F1 Race Car for daily shopping.
I would totally sell all my furniture for this kind of setup...but those damn wifes can be boring and so attached to reality.
Man, you got 20,000 dollars worth of vintage keys, one would assume you could afford a stand.
Man, you got 20,000 dollars worth of vintage keys, one would assume you could afford a stand?
Está muy bien. Pero le falta la presencia del Teddy Melfi haciendo sus escalitas con el Fender Precision.
Man, what the fuck dude?????????? so many moogs and such a crappy music. If only I could get all these moogs.
hehe he plays the synths like a guitarist would play typical psychedelic rock guitar :D
nice being surrounded by Moogs. Cool vid.
Were tables prohibitively expensive ?
There are many great synths, a lot of beautiful sounds... But where is the beautiful music?! :)
I would have to say doing drugs and making music is more productive than being a youtube troll
True synth-heads spend all your money on synths and have no furniture ... ☮🔥
Truly shit use of such fantastic Synths. What a shame he took too much acid...
hilarious, apparently he spent so much on moogs he didn't have money left for furniture
2:12 looks like harry potters friend playing quidditch...go witchy go!!! Bang yo head!!!
Amazing skill with classic synthware🤘
I just got a moog LP and this demo shows me many possibilities. The musician playing on this is great. Thank you.
Oh dear god, what did I just watch? And I like Steve Hillage. Awesome skill though :)
You are my Dreammen, greetings Synthiefrau (Germany)
Yes - but at least I would say "he" instead of "it" even when he looks like "it" ;=)
i can argue that statement personally *sigh* don't spread bad information please
doepfer electronics in germany has ribboncontroller check out german keyboardmags
It's reminds me of Romantic Warrior. Did they use similar things on that album?
This is what happens when Moog fans meet Hippies.
this guy is rich in talent and equipment.........He has $75,000 around him
if you're not using that Sonic Six in the background, I'll gladly take it
If anyone wants to trade a good analog synth for my Rhodes 73, let me know.
@Oliveirex1 i get the impression that you only laugh when nobody's looking.
Apparently, he spends a lot of money on his Moogs, and his acid>
What's he doing with his left hand, for example at 1:17? Pitch wheel?
Sorry, but that was complete crap. I was expecting something way better
@SalemTheSalem Yes but both seem to be working perfectly so good choice
u dont know how to work it. u should buy synthesizer theory by rob moog
RIP bunmei ogawa.
@MrCamelneck
ahahaahah, absolutely yes! :D
QUICK.....someone get this man a hacky-sac before he does this again!
dont be so rough on yourself, after all you picked out the sonic six!
