You are so in your element when you get new material to use for your bait making. It is great to see your emotions and your mind spinning to figure out what to use this with and what use that with and what new bait you can create. Have fun, and we can't wait to see your wizardry take off. Be blessed. My friend.
Great video I use a lot of lure works stuff. And while I haven't got any of the crushed rupees yet I mostly use Alpha pigments diamond and 8bit. And since Michael and Tommy are both awesome friends of mine I almost always try to incorporate a pigment from each of them in my colorways.
I can definitely see the difference. I can see where one would look better in one bait, and not the other. What might look great in a swimbait, might not look so good in a worm or a small creature bait. Having different options is a good thing. Great video.
Adam, you always do such a great job buddy! Just wanted to let you know that I'm taking a little break from RUclips for a while. I keep up with over a hundred channels with complete loyalty to their content and have been doing this for a couple of years now. Unfortunately, maintaining my support has completely wore me down. Not leaving, but my reply times will be much slower for a while. Appreciate you buddy! Keep up the great work!
From the very first color I thought man what a difference a subtle change of flake size makes! The way they separate and suspend in the bait makes for a lot more reflectivity. If you want the flash the rupee is the winner.
I would have a hard time not combining both all the time. 3/4 diamond pearl in the violet and 1/4 crushed rupees in the blue seems like it would make an amazing bluegill imitator!
Okay I give up. I'm going to order Crused Rupees, we don't have this in Sweden as far as I know. But soon I have. Thanks for a great channel with lots of ideas. Have a great day everyone.😉
Overall I preferred the effect the diamond pearl was giving, but both look very good! By the way, good I held back before writing the comment, since I was gonna suggest a bonus run mixing the leftovers of each colour!
Idk what the lureworks stuff is made of, but the 8bit stuff is borosilicate glass. Your microwave isn't going to bother that any more than it does the pyrex cup.
Great work. I'm looking at purchasing my first gallon of Baitplastics Plastisol and I don't see any explanation on their site about buoyancy. Does 242 float? I want a gallon of both floating and sinking blend. Floating for dropshot worms and sinking for craw baits.
Great question. BP (at least the 242 that I use, not sure about the other blends) is neutrally buoyant, so it doesn't "float" in that it doesn't "pull up" in the water column, but it doesn't sink like a rock either. A drop shot will actually suspend very nicely, as will a shaky head worm (stands up, but isn't "stiff" like a ZMAN that floats hard). Given enough time, assuming no current, the baits will eventually sink/fall, but in my experience, that's longer than I'm fishing in 1 spot... I've already moved the bait and re-started the process. I'm assuming higher resin count blends (262+) will sink faster and softer blends with less resin (142) will suspend longer, but to my knowledge, they don't carry a sinking blend vs a floating blend. Hope this helps!
I have a question. I built the fluid beds and the jig racks but when I color them they still look rough not smooth like when you buy them. What am I doing wrong?
Sounds like either you’re not heating the head enough before dipping, your temp is too low in the toaster, or there’s something with the paint itself. Some paint is designed with a “matte” finish that will be rough - I’m assuming you’re not using those when I mentioned the other solutions.
Great Video Adam! Love the side by side comparison! As much as I like Michael over at 8 Bit Baits. Do you think the Extra Cost is worth it? In the End other than the Silver the LureWorks is just as Good. Just my Opinion. 🍻
Thanks Scott! I think the difference is pretty small isn’t it - within $2 or so? It’s been a while since I looked at either but I’m thinking it’s like $13 vs $15. If so, absolutely worth it, if nothing else just for the additional option, should you want some extra flash/brighter look 👍
Great video, should be 1 like for every view, if you a bait maker, and you don't like this video, you are crazy. Save u so much money and time. Great video, buddy.

Nice job. I needed one of these comparison videos in my life
Excellent! Glad you enjoyed it!
I like the LureWorks better more color.

Yes sir, good stuff all around! When I had the AP Diamonds they definitely reminded me of the LW stuff. CR is a winner, hope you snag you some soon!

I hear ya and totally agree! Shoot... throw a little green and a dash of gold in there too! Very cool stuff on both ends!
Always enjoy the adventure Adam. I so want to get started in bait making and rod building. Hopefully I can in the near future
Its definitely a rabbit hole, but a fun one to be sure! Thanks for coming along on this one John!

Great investment! 👍👍
If I'm not mistaken the rupees are a bunch of different particle sizes...prolly why it appears larger....awesome video!
@@JasonSmith-bv3yd there is some variety, yup. Not as much as Siren Scales, but not uniform.

Yup, I see myself using both for sure! Loved the 50/50 look!
Great comparison video. The 8Bit products are nothing short of amazing. Thanks for sharing.
@@Handtiedbaits glad you enjoyed it! CR’s are definitely legit!

Cool deal 👍👍
Think the purple rupies could be better then the sparkle violet. The sparkle violet doesn't handle the heat. Great video as always.
Now THERE’S an idea, nice! Appreciate the comment my friend!
Both of them look great. I do agree that the diamond pearl has more saturation, but both have their place. Great comparison test.
Thanks Lee - options are ALWAYS a plus!
WoW 🤩 the comparison of each works well and I agree 50/50 yes that’s Killer, I gotta try some in an air brush, Thanks for Sharing
Loved that last one too - combining yielded a great result!
All the colors are awesome… but I think I prefer the larger particulate size of the rupees. Thank you for the comparison.
My pleasure! Great products for sure!
Those rupees are amazing. Got to get some of them
Money well spent!

@@SDGCustomLurecraft Great, thanks for the detailed explanation. I'm ordering some 242 to try for myself.

Wonder how the sparkle series from lureworks stacks up in the 0.015 to the rupees.
Sparkle flake is definitely more heat sensitive, so reheats are very tough. Colorwise, not sure!? Could be interesting!
@@SDGCustomLurecraft heat is tough but just curious for comparison purpose
I was hoping to see numerous reheats to see which held up best, but my opinion is Lureworks overall for the win.
@@grimtasticbaits that last bait (where I combined the two) had at least 3, maybe 4 reheats on it - both materials held up great!

Looks to me like they're made from the exact same material...just the different size flakes gives slightly different tones
Similar, for sure, but the Rupees is definitely "brighter". Who knows though, maybe the larger size brings out the shine!?
Remelts 😆
Amen! Already looking forward to them!
Try mixing them together.
I did at the end :)
@@SDGCustomLurecraft really lol i don't know how i missed it sorry.. it looked great.

I like lure works better
Can’t go wrong with Diamond Pearl!
Lureworks looks more concentrated you should try using half as much lureworks. Then use one drop of white instead of black
YT held this comment for some reason... weird, I'm just now seeing it. Anyway, thanks man! I bet that would work really well!
