That Ford is one beautiful truck! Worked on those tractors in the early days of my career. Considering Ford really wasn't into class 8 tractors they did a great job on this one. Timeless beauty! Thanks for keeping her on the road! Enjoy your site immensely. 😊 You're two four-legged working foreman are great supervisors! I see them coming up inspecting your work closely and giving you the okay. Although, I don't know about their credibility! They can be bribed quite easily by a little quarter taste of your sandwich or a couple of milk bones. Take care, be safe!
Good morning, we have a mutual friend that I watch his videos that suggested we come down here and take a look at yours, I find it very interesting. it's too bad you can't convince him what a steam cleaner is made for ,when he told that Ford Motor apart and didn't clean everything it's amazing. you two guys great good luck and have a safe day
We had a low boost complaint on a Volvo Penta boat engine. Field rep found about a dozen paper towels sucked into the turbo and crammed into the intake. He wasn't as lucky.
Id love a cat in mine. Hmmm maybe swap in my 5ek from my 2000 w900l kw.. no i just gotta fix it since insurance companys suck i love your channel great videos
I would worry about you, but you make everything so exciting. The yard crane, sucking the tool pouch into the fan, now the intake cap. But we all know things like this are just to scare us, Right?
New sub here from Matt's Diesel Creek.... Definitely will be checking out your Heavy repairs👍 🤨Your poor camera on the lathe momentarily was a headf*ck that caught me off guard😉
Sam question for you. I have a L9000 dump truck with great frame, good running 8v92 and 13 speed good Columbia box, tandem drive axles. The cab is rotted out and i cant locate one in Oregon. I know where several late 80s early to mid 90s f800 f900 trucks and cabs with tilt hoods. Will t800 f900 cab work on L9000 chassis?
Nice job on this swap. As much as I love Cummins, the 3406 is one of CAT's best engines. Like the idea of throwing on the spoolie boi, marine cam, injectors, file to wake it up. That's a nice 'little' Borgy. Believe it or not, the bed of a pickup with some tires/ wood or pallet pieces on it work good for pulling most hoods on rigs. They usually line up pretty well if you don't have a forklift, like you're lucky enough to have. Thanks for sharing this, I dig it. 🙂👍💪
that thing looks great with the sleeper those ltl's were always good looking trucks and the cat is a smart choice even a 3406b would have been good how does the cat pull compared to the superliner? that cat should have some serious torque at least 1850 and should get decent mileage pulling great job would love to see some more ridealong with the ford and the mack thanks for the content
Minor details. Guy that moved the 80j twisted the driveshaft off merging onto the highway I was told. They moved it completely assembled about 50ton so probably close to the 820

I was screaming at the TV when I saw that rag disappearing. Glad it stopped when it did.
My heart stopped when I saw that bag get sucked in!
I am a big fan of Cat engines and heavy equipment.Thought that the V12 used in 777 was great.
the instant i saw what was in the intake my heart started to race, for a second there when the video abruptly cut i thought everything went south

Awesome job my friend.
I’m not a mechanic but I was wondering if that plastic was covering the intake opening.
Right I put it there and forgot to remove on the first try lol

Thanks! It runs pretty comparable to the E9 but I like it more I would say. I need to put a smaller exhaust housing on though the 1.58 is pretty laggy
Sounds great 👍
What did you hook the check engine light to the original light cluster?
I didn’t lol
@@ScrappyIndustries ok I didn't know if it or the engine shutdown light had to be connected thanks
@@jakeford7688 well it will still shut itself down in a high high temp etc
Ooo listen to that kitty Purr.
👍🏻🍻
👍👍👍👍
throw the lorain behind it and make it work!
We better start shopping for a trailer! Don’t think the 35 ton Talbert would be happy lol

Electronic governing-dead steady rpm.
