I just got mine in from China. It arrived in 4 days. Same model very well made. Thanks for making the TMNT video showcasing this!
Sweet... have fun with it, it's a really cool device!
I really need to pickup a super gun. I’ve been saying it for two years and keep changing my mind on what to get, then end up with nothing. Good stuff man, I like the OSSC integration.
I'm having a ton of fun with this thing, I bought a cheap one initially and then was a bit underwhelmed, this one has me all kinds of hyped up! Thanks for watching bud, maybe one of these days I will try to build my own. I'm kind rough on the soldering iron but I'm willing to give it a shot. Have you ever thought about building one?
Retro Ralph My soldering skills are average at best on a good day. There is no way I’d want to put some of my good boards at risk due to my ineptitude. I’ll look at grabbing something like the HAS most likely. I just don’t trust myself building something that is controlling voltages to boards I can’t easily find or afford again, lol.
No one will donate one to your PO box. Keep dreaming.
This is an awesome little device. My home built supergun is actual arcade hardware bolted to a piece of plywood (power supply with a power strip, GBS-8200 video encoder, line level audio device, with undamned usb decoders). The whole build was cheaper than this device, but it is certainly larger than this setup. This is really slick.
Thanks bud, I need to build my own one day. Thanks for watching 🤘🏻
@@RetroRalph It's pretty easy to do. Just like wiring up a regular cab. Like I said I just bolted my components to a piece of plywood, power strip included for easy on/off. I'd recommend a separate power supply for the undamned USB decoders. I love playing windjammers on it with my PS4 stick.
wish i could grab an undamned encoder
theyre always sold out 😅😅
i just wire my own junk using cut up neogeo extension cords and sawna buttons lol
Good video Ralph! It was fun learning a little about arcade boards and the super gun. I can see where people could really get into it! It was also cool to know you can make these games look better than ever , while still keeping everything original! So cool!
Hahaha!!! Cowboy RetroRalph!!!!! I think he must have rode off into the sunset. I haven’t saw or heard anything about him in awhile.
I remember when I first started watching you. I was mainly in a dark place and you could always make it brighter for me. It’s crazy how a random guy on RUclips could always mean a lot to me and my daughter. I may be older than you but I do look up to as a man.
Wow! It's been a LONG time since I have thought about a SuperGun. I remember in the early 2000's they mostly looked like were all homemade by Junior High School students for tech projects. Times certainly have changed!
lol a generic acrylic box means times are a'changin? wow
id take the handmade open-souce supergun minigun over dubious china stuff anyday
@@jonniefast oh yeah we totally want to buy an overpriced Etsy monstrosity over a cheap Chinese copy you can customize yourself
I live in Texas and Retro Ralph has more cowboy hats than me! haha
LOL... Thanks for watching bud!
That's a really cool device and cheaper than i thought. I always see far older looking ones on Ebay for like $100 to $150 more.
Ralph, you’re a legend. I’ve been looking all over on how to set something like this up, thanks !
Hey Ralph, I just pressed the button on the NeoSD Pro Flash Cart order for my MVS CBox... They were back in stock for a limited run and could not risk them never releasing it again. :)
Damn expensive but much less than purchasing a few original carts. The pro version has five slots, 4 rom and 1 ram, so my single slot will act as a very rare five-slot MVS. :)
Always going epic with Retro Ralph style nice work
Don't tempt me, Ralph! This thing's a beauty. I sold off my Analogue Interactive CMVS bundle and multicart for a pretty penny last year, because I'm actually happy with my Neo Geo via RetroPie (and SNK USB controllers) ... seeing this has me salivating 🤤
I'm not going to lie, this thing is really cool. Thanks for watching....
retropie? 😟
Hahahaha.. intro is epic again.. RALPHY STYLE !!
Only you need to go with the Terminator Style some day buddy !
Play the JAMMA if you want to live.... haha.
You the man Ralph !!
Thanks bud and thanks for watching!
Take a shot for every time Ralph says “actually”
This video isssssssssssss.....freaking AWESOME 💪🏽
Love the Streets of Rage t-shirt. Anyway, having a Neo Geo would be a dream but unfortunatly it's just too expensive. I have a modded Neo Geo mini so I can play all the games I want, but it's just not the same (plus the bilinear filter it used when hooked on TV is ass)
Really cool...the OSSC !!!
This is so sick
This has pretty much sold me on the 2 in 1 MVS/JAMMA box. The real question though is... where did you get that clear enclosure for your TMNT pcb??? The one arcade board I want to get is The Simpsons and I'd love to have an enclosure like that to keep it nice.
lowes will cut you acrylic in any size mate
lions3 shop also has them, email him
Great
Grat Video.
There is a roulette on the side that you have not mentioned what is its use
And now i know why collecting boards will never be a real thing.
I ordered one of these a couple weeks ago, it's almost here actually, the person I ordered it from offered me a choice of a neon green with USB controller option, but I chose the red because , I prefer Sega Saturn controllers! Anyway, thanks for this!!
Sweet! Let me know if you have any questions once it comes in!
@@RetroRalph I did a review of it on my channel awhile back, and made damn sure to put a link mention IN THE VIDEO at the end! Thank you very much for this video! That, to me, is what this platform specifically is about, to share ideas, and common hobbies, among other things! Take care, and happy gaming!
@@RetroRalph Update, I also got the Neon Green (USB and Neo Geo controller ports)version of this earlier this year, and I finally ordered a JAMMA PCB of TMNT 1989 couple days ago! Keep being amazing! 😊🎮Marcus
Does it has 6 button for Street Fighter 2 CPS2?
I need that. With the new version you can use USB controllers such us Xbox One, PS4, 360, etc.
This video needs more CRT, but supergun yes :)
It looks fantastic
Awesome video!! 👍 😃
It's certainly legit. My only concern is the kick harness. May I know how the supergun handles it?
Awesome, haven't seen a CMVS with Jamma option
So even those arcade machines like X-men simpsons that I played back in the day the board had to load rom check when they booted up the game
If I could figure out to get my joysticks to work with that I would use it in a 1up.
Sega mega drive scart cable ? this console is probably compatible with the hd retrovision cables
Well the mvs console I got the rgb input seems to be defective screen flickers cause I tried the rgb scart cable with my Sega genesis model 1 and screen didn’t flicker
Check out the Supergun to rule them all. Axunwork JVS/JAMMA CBOX SuperGun. it does both JVS and JAMMA arcade standards.
Whats about latencys(Controls/LED TV)??
2 years ago the cbox was under $200, now it's over$400 (with jamma)
My screen flickers when I use the sega model 1 to rgb and connect to my ossc got the same model as u also
I'm really interested in buying one of these, but I have some questions about input lag. Do you experience lag when converting to an HDMI signal? Also, if I get one with USB ports for USB controllers, would that cause any input lag?
Sorry for the second comment, but I have a quick question. I'd like to get one of these 2 in 1 CMVS consoles so I can play MVS and other random arcade games including a board called the Atomiswave by Sammy. Some of the games that are found on the Atomiswave require more than four buttons which pretty much rules out Neo Geo sticks/pads. My question is will this 2 in 1 console allow me to play those specific 5+ button games if I used a Saturn controller? That pad has 6 buttons so in theory it should work, but I'd rather ask first before buying those specific Atomiswave games. If not, would I need a kick harness or the USB version of the 2 in 1 instead?
For arcade games with than 2 players like tmnt , how do you connect more controllers to this super gun?
They use DB15 connectors so you can use a Neo Geo CD controller or a Neo Geo AES controller.
Can i use the 3D Pandora's Box unit by connecting it to this CBOX MVS JAMMA BOX ?
So how do u insert coins into the game if there isn’t any coin button on the supergun
The select button on the Neo Geo controller acts as coin or credit. 👍🏻
I always wondered what the super gun does. I own the Cbox MVS without the super gun. I kind of wish I would have paid the extra for the super gun
Is the voltage adjustable??? Most superguns have adjustable voltages because each arcade board is different and low voltage can cause issues and sometimes not allow the game to boot.
If I'm going to guess this device is adjusted for 5V PCB's boards only. Which it will handle most PCB's, but it would be nice if it's voltage adjustable.
I'm going to cover this in part 2 but yes, there's a knob on the side to adjust voltages and enter the test menus of the PCB you have connected.
@@retroforce6919 Yeah sometimes you need to bump the voltage because the board your using can draw more and bring the voltage down.
@@RetroRalph Oh cool.... yeah there are some pretty cool superguns on the market... some are super tiny and work really well...
Nice explanation! Now I know how it works! ... So just to be sure, the super gun addition to this CMVS will be able To play ANY arcade PCB out there? (Eg. Namco, capcom, midway)
Ralph, this cbox could be connected directly to a TV scart through Rgbs output?
I intend to use it directly to a CRT TV through that cable without ossc and, time to time, with ossc for HDTV.
How would play 4 players on this with TMNT? or games with 4 player support?
I have a MVs and it keeps blinking on my tv
What about jamma games that have more buttons than the neo?
Very cool device, does it have a kick harness input? Also van you adjust red, green, Blue?
The pcb reader works with atomiswave games? 🤔
do you ever tried use this supergun with padora box? it's work?
Hi I'm new to this I would like to purchase this in the future would this be able to play a 6 button controller on a jamma board?
I can find that osc model no Amazon?
I would love to get one of these. Arcade1up has some good machines and i own 5 but i saw these about a year ago but couldnt find any working links or current info on super guns still being made. Looks like the link to buy is still good, shame i had a pricey car repair come up.
I would love to buy one of these and get nfl blitz and maybe a couple more boards.
Midway games works with the supergun !????
Can a light gun work with a supergun
I don't get it. So if I use ONLY a supergun, can I then play neo geo games, yes or not?
Crap I thought u was breaking out the 50 cal of arcade guns 😀😀
LOL!!! Thanks for watching!
This is probably a stupid question, but you can only do 2-players on games (like this one, TMNT) that are actually up to 4-players, correct?
Dude I only have one very simple question. no other you tuber has answered so far. I want to stick this inside a cabinet.. (why you may wonder..) simply put, to hook up a Pandora's box on the external pcb adapter. I know you have original pcb boards.. but have you tried if It works with a pandora. I am planning to have my samurai shodown 4 mvs cartridge and be able to switch seamlessly between the two. Could you try to see if it works?
Great video!!! I just ordered one of these. I do have a question, do you know if a Jamma Pandora’s box can be connected to the CMVS?? I’m assuming yes, but wasn’t sure if anyone has tried and can provide any feedback. Thanks again for making this video.
I have a question.
After switching to jamma, can I play if I connect it to the board of Street Fighter 2⁇
I wanna find a Supergun with a USB Port that I can play the Mortal Kombat PCB Board with, want to get one and not waste $$
Can you plugged in a pandora box
Question, did you have to do the mono to stereo mod that could be done in the previous version of this console? (the version without the super gun)
👌😁💯🔥
What if it's NOT jamma board.
Does this have a plug and play option for the new unibios 4.0?
Cheese louise intro.
Mission Accomplished, thanks for watching!
Does it come with a power Supply? If not which one do you get?
If your into neo geo, check out Mister it's an open source FPGA with a bunch of retro console cores that are imo as close as you can get to original hardware.
People still don't know what is supergun, loooool.
This video is 3 years old and yes, people still don't know. LOL
Will this work with an atomiswave game board?
The background music is REALLY annoying, good vid though
not great 😟
those wires from the jamma edge dont seem very well isolated - more sensitive/finicky pcb would likely have issues
supergunminigun or HAS (home arcade system) would be far superior to china junk
Can you play 4 player games on your super gun?
MAME!
Bro test a game with the sega saturn pad plz
I have ki 1 mk2 NBA te nhl open ice pcbs
Do you know if those pcbs works with that supergun
???
Dont want to buy for nothing 😉
Great video, but the background music is distracting at times and unneeded for a video like this.
Too much trouble to set up, but cool.
Does it play any PCB or just Neo Geo PCBs?
It will support PCBs with Jamma and Neo Geo Carts. Most PCBs are supported but some may not work depending on power requirements. 👍🏻 I Hope this helps. Thanks for watching!
Retro Ralph thanks for the reply Ralph! Awesome job as usual!
LOL OMG... Btw can you use this in a Cab?
You could but this is really designed to enjoy the boards or NeoGeo games on a TV and not in an arcade cabinet. If you wanted to use Neo Geo carts in a cabinet, you would be better off buying an MVS board. I have a video on this I believe in my arcade playlist. Thanks for watching my man!
@@RetroRalph I'm always watching buddy I'm always in the livestream and anytime you need any advice on getting in shape you let me know that's what I do well if that's not only what I do but that's the main thing I do lol
🕹💥Need your HELP Retro Ralph...I tried to connect my Rampage (arcade 1up) circuit board to a newer TMNT cabinet monitor and all I got was a black screen with sound only...then when I went to put it back to original rampage monitor, my original monitor all of a sudden wouldn't work right, giving me just a total bright white screen....??...what happened?....is there something in the newer monitors that arcade 1up is now using that put out some kind of shock or surge or something that damaged the circuit board or something??...I'm confused by all this, it is a direct plug and play situation with both monitors matching all 3 plug harnesses exactly. Now I have a non working rampage cabinet because of this. Any help or guidance you can offer would be appreciated, thank you.
