thisis honestly one of my favorite mods for a few reasons. #1: im a TF2 player and im in love with the game #2: each song represents perfectly each character #3 the extra songs do represent the art of the subclass perfectly #4: all the mechanics represent the personalities of each class, making it really well done, congrats to the people that worked on this mod
Yeah, I really enjoyed some of the merc's reactions in this mod. It's a rap battle so I imagine BF be spittin taunts and disses to the Mercs so it's understandable why they are angry when they lose. But how the Engineer, Medic, Heavy, and Sniper take the loss is what I like. They're upset that they lost, but they were challenged to a game that they have no experience or expertise in so they don't entirely mind it too much. Engineer was a good sport all around, Heavy wanted a rematch with help but accepts that he lost, Medic honored his agreement even if he didn't have to, and Sniper genuinely enjoyed the game.

I like to imagine the Dispenser song as the 'aftermath', where all the TF2 cast actually enjoys rapping for fun after losing to the blue-balled gremlin and then going 'hey that was kinda cool'.
This mod is super clever with each merc's singing personality, scout with his speed interacting with Bonk atomic punch, soldier who is just screaming at you of which is very in character, pyro who transitions you between the happy song in pyroland, demoman which has the drunken notes, heavy being the most iconic tf2 merc bas a song made up of the most famous lines in the game, engineer who just made a machine to play for him, medic who is as insane as always and has the iconic Heavy Medic duo and the soul referance from the comics, sniper with no introduction like everyone else in referance from the comics, "snipers dont go off on gutshots or evil monologues, we just take the shot", and spy with the beautiful spycrab animation, invisible notes, and referance to the tf2 song "right behind you"
This mod has detail, music, charm, good rhythm, etc. This is the only mod i rate S+ Tier its underrated because in my opinion this is WAY better than the other mods i know i like tf2 but the devs put alot of effort and i can respect that.
soldier and engie had some really cool sprites tbh, rest could use a bit of work. you can tell the music is made by someone relatively new to the scene. however, you can tell that this mod has had SO much love and care put into it, with the menus, gimmicks, and such. i do think that it would be super beneficial to get better musicians, sprite artists and charters especially. despite it's flaws, this mod is fuckin wonderful and i'm very happy it exists, and that it's still being developed further and improved upon. also gf's bitchiness needs to be toned down a lil it's a bit obnoxious
Saxton hale and his selection of sounds was perfection for me. The song really emphasized his raw power. Had to highlight that but I found my self geeking out and getting hyped multiplied as it got further in. This is amazing dead scout was really cool just having him alone I know it’s basic for presentation but I think it’s perfect as it feels like reaching a forbidden section of the code. Even if you decide to add further aside from replacing placeholder images I have no reason to doubt what you will bring with the changes. Finally just thanks for this, never knew I needed this so much in my life and I’ll be listening to so many of these over and over again. You guys are legends and the effort really shows.
I love how with medic’s song during the heavy segment and in honourbound they are actually regenerating health, either through medibeam or conch, such a neat detail
38:48 I like how on top of making the screen shake, Saxton Hale has afterimages of himself. If I could ever make a FNF mod, I would use these two effects as well.
While the Honorbound Tourney reference is definitely intentional, given the cosmetics and map the song takes place on, the whole "Honorbound" thing in general is based on the Half-Zat's damage swap mechanic, which is referred to in-game as an "Honorbound" statistic. The Blackbox and Conch are pretty much there exclusively to emulate the stereotypical health on kill loadout. I do see what you mean about it being ironic though.

I like how each song is creative in their way But the thing I was excited to see the most was the demoman song being reworked, it sounds even better than before
The mod is absolutely flawless, I can't even possibly begin to knitpick it, it has everything you'd expect It has every bit of every character's personality, medic's sadism, Saxton Hale's comical showoff narcissism, spy's tricks and cloaks, it has everything Also the green scout face on the monochrome screen is too fucking funny *wheeze* The voices are also great, mainly soldier's hysterical scream, the references to "soldier finds out he's red" vid, the quickening when the conch is chanted, the demoknight loadout in degroot keep, the maps recreated perfectly, the "You can't pan" reference, the duped shovel, pootispencer here, critical shit, trolling being related to trolldier this was clearly made by a real fan and possibly a player I love this knitpicklessly
I think the only possible knitpick is that the main week’s backing tracks are a bit weak in terms of music but it’s not really even a big deal, there’s just so much work put into it :)

I’ve been using Eyelander as background music every time I switch to Demoknight, and I gotta say, it’s actually improved my gameplay every time I listen to it.
I love how they made a reference to the honorbound tournament by giving it an extra song. And it's AN ABSOLUTE BANGER 🔥🔥 Everything about this mod is awesome, and that is the cherry on top

Man this Mod isn't just packed to the brim with "Good" stuff, It's packed to the brim with "GREAT" stuff lmao, Some Songs are WAY harder then others, But man what a action-packed Mod xD Freaking crazy how they implemented pretty much EVERY Mechanic from EVERY Mod EVER lol I really honestly love the way they portrayed Boyfriend and Girlfriend here, Constant cursing, Rap Battle's for day, Beep Bo Bopping, Girlfriend being WAY overly attracted to Boyfriend's voice, And the constant jokes that Boyfriend has a massive d*ck :P "And of course the fact that Boyfriend can in fact speak English, He just chooses not too 99% of the time" "I also noticed that when Girlfriend didn't think anyone was around, And it was just her and Boyfriend, She started Beeping, Which properly explains why she can understand Boyfriend, She can speak the same language as him lmao" Can't tell you how many times I laughed at all of that xD These Modders knew what they were doing with the 2 of them, Ninjamuffin and his friends would be proud o/
Medic and Heavy are particularly if not the nicest, then the most fair people on the team. First off, once BF wins against Medic, Medic doesn't take their souls. And Heavy is like "Okay, you win now little man." Heavy and Medic are good people.
Not sure that medic is a good person, doesn't he canonically own all the souls of the mercenaries,and even sold one soul who knows whoever it is to the devil to keep him alive in the comics
touhou and tf2 have some pretty close similarities -both have love for memes -mostly single gender population -they're both bullet hells to some degree
I'd love to think all the mercs would teach bf something after being beaten, scout probably better smack talk, demo would likely give bf his first drink and also how to swing a punch properly, cuz knowing demo he's probably slightly more of a bruiser in melee then even heavy, and spy would teach bf modesty and how to be more humble, that would probably apply to heavy too...honestly I'm not sure what pyro would teach bf

This mod is super clever with each merc's singing personality, scout with his speed interacting with Bonk atomic punch, soldier who is just screaming at you of which is very in character, pyro who transitions you between the happy song in pyroland, demoman which has the drunken notes, heavy being the most iconic tf2 merc bas a song made up of the most famous lines in the game, engineer who just made a machine to play for him, medic who is as insane as always and has the iconic Heavy Medic duo and the soul referance from the comics, sniper with no introduction like everyone else in referance from the comics, "snipers dont go off on gutshots or evil monologues, we just take the shot", and spy with the beautiful spycrab animation, invisible notes, and referance to the tf2 song "right behind you"

This mod has detail, music, charm, good rhythm, etc. This is the only mod i rate S+ Tier its underrated because in my opinion this is WAY better than the other mods i know i like tf2 but the devs put alot of effort and i can respect that.
soldier and engie had some really cool sprites tbh, rest could use a bit of work. you can tell the music is made by someone relatively new to the scene. however, you can tell that this mod has had SO much love and care put into it, with the menus, gimmicks, and such. i do think that it would be super beneficial to get better musicians, sprite artists and charters especially. despite it's flaws, this mod is fuckin wonderful and i'm very happy it exists, and that it's still being developed further and improved upon. also gf's bitchiness needs to be toned down a lil it's a bit obnoxious

Saxton hale and his selection of sounds was perfection for me. The song really emphasized his raw power. Had to highlight that but I found my self geeking out and getting hyped multiplied as it got further in. This is amazing dead scout was really cool just having him alone I know it’s basic for presentation but I think it’s perfect as it feels like reaching a forbidden section of the code. Even if you decide to add further aside from replacing placeholder images I have no reason to doubt what you will bring with the changes. Finally just thanks for this, never knew I needed this so much in my life and I’ll be listening to so many of these over and over again. You guys are legends and the effort really shows.
I feel like the placeholder images, namely, in the ones of the meme songs, are... actually not placeholders. But, I dunno. I'm only theorizing.

Its a reference to the honorbound tourney from a while back. Those weapons were all that were allowed
While the Honorbound Tourney reference is definitely intentional, given the cosmetics and map the song takes place on, the whole "Honorbound" thing in general is based on the Half-Zat's damage swap mechanic, which is referred to in-game as an "Honorbound" statistic. The Blackbox and Conch are pretty much there exclusively to emulate the stereotypical health on kill loadout. I do see what you mean about it being ironic though.

It has every bit of every character's personality, medic's sadism, Saxton Hale's comical showoff narcissism, spy's tricks and cloaks, it has everything

The voices are also great, mainly soldier's hysterical scream, the references to "soldier finds out he's red" vid, the quickening when the conch is chanted, the demoknight loadout in degroot keep, the maps recreated perfectly, the "You can't pan" reference, the duped shovel, pootispencer here, critical shit, trolling being related to trolldier this was clearly made by a real fan and possibly a player

Medic and Heavy are particularly if not the nicest, then the most fair people on the team. First off, once BF wins against Medic, Medic doesn't take their souls. And Heavy is like "Okay, you win now little man." Heavy and Medic are good people.

I'd love to think all the mercs would teach bf something after being beaten, scout probably better smack talk, demo would likely give bf his first drink and also how to swing a punch properly, cuz knowing demo he's probably slightly more of a bruiser in melee then even heavy, and spy would teach bf modesty and how to be more humble, that would probably apply to heavy too...honestly I'm not sure what pyro would teach bf
