Gaslamp this is beautifully done. All the little twig cracks and soggy, crunchy footsteps add to a pleasant shire feel. And your whispering was a perfect compliment to the slow (very steady) stroll. 👌😴
Hi there Connor. That's just the Smooth-Q gimbal by Zhiyun. I'm slowly getting better at using it. I did an unboxing video of it late last year, and I also have some gimbal test videos in my "Junk Drawer" playlist that you might have a look at as well.
Thanks for letting me know, Al. I'm hoping to do a bit more of this in the fall, including an iron bridge tour, as well as something from our trip to KY in October. Best to you.
I'm very happy that I found your channel. Love this walk and humble journey full of healing words and wisdom. I could watch time and time again. Thank you~~~
I'm glad that comes across, SadEgg. These kinds of videos make it easy to express that, and it's nice to put that out into the world. The world needs more gentleness, I think.
Thanks for saying so, V. I tend to think that small quiet places are a bit more plentiful than we think they are, but we don't seek them out as much as we should. I know I've guilty of this, and could always do a better job of heeding my own advice. ;-) Best to you.
LOL, that's true, and that's generally only a summer thing, thankfully. When I tried this video last weekend, I encountered several webs that were not there the second time, so I think I cleared my own path. ;-) But the vibe was so much better in the mist and cooler air, so I think the second attempt was always meant to be the "right" one.
Incredible. I already know I'll watch this one multiple times! Sometimes asmr nature walks can be kind of eerie to me because if it's -too- slow I feel like something spooky can jump out and if it's too fast then I just get motion sick. You got it just right, Gaslamp :). Thank YOU. (I'm grateful to be learning from you and following in your *footsteps* ;))
Thanks so much, Decaf. Completely agree about the speed on nature vids, particularly panning speed. You have to be really careful, or people will click away fast to avoid that motion sickness. I'm trying to do a better job of making sure the actual trail is in a interesting part of the frame (rule of thirds, and all of that), and not just center everything all the time, which I think helps the visual interest, as well. Thanks for the feedback! (sorry, too late at night to think of a running pun, dang it! you have bested me. ;)
I'm glad you think so, Britgurl. I try to ramble in a direction that compliments the visuals, and so it's very free-form and improvisational. Something I'm looking forward to improving over time, as well. Thanks very much!
This is my absolute favorite kind of video! It felt almost magical, walking this green and glowing trail along with you-thanks for sharing it💚🍃 And your camera work is so smooth! How do you do that?!
Thanks SleepStories! So glad you liked it, and you're most welcome. The camera work all comes from the Smooth-Q gimbal that my family gave me for Christmas last year. I've got an unboxing video of it on the channel, and several gimbal test videos in the "Junk Drawer" playlist if you'd like to see more. I'm slowly getting better at it, anyway. :-)
Gaslamp ASMR Excellent! I’ll have to check that video out! I’m so new to filming. And it drives me crazy that every time I try to film while walking I’m probably inducing motion sickness😂
Yeah, it's tricky. I wouldn't do ANY of this outdoor stuff without using a gimbal. I just don't think it's worth it without that extra bit of production value. It pays off in the "watchability" of the final product. And gimbals are reaching lower and lower price points all the time. The key is to do everything a bit more slowly than you think you should. If you think you're moving a bit too slow, you're probably doing it just right. :-)
Hi there Miguel! That's turning into a popular question on this vid. :-) That's the Smooth-Q gimbal by Zhiyun. I used it on the "Covered Bridges" video also. I did an unboxing video of it late last year that lets you get a close look at it, and I have some gimbal test vids in my "Junk Drawer" playlist if you'd like to see more of my trying to learn it. Best to you.

SHIRE! Wow, that's a perfect word for this vibe, you nailed it. Appreciate the feedback, and your continued support, of course.
So steady. How did you do that?

Just... Perfect. This is my favorite video from you along side with the "pond in the woods" video.
Thanks for letting me know, Al. I'm hoping to do a bit more of this in the fall, including an iron bridge tour, as well as something from our trip to KY in October. Best to you.
head just hit the pillow as this showed up in my feed. what timing!
I aim to please! lol Enjoy!
Green and tree tunnels are beautiful‼ I love the natural sound. I am likely to meet Totoro :-)✨Thank you for sharing
I had to look up "Totoro", and now I think I have to add another film to my "must watch" list! I hope you enjoy the stroll. And you've got a new sub!
+1 vote for Totoro ^_^
This is the best comment ever :-)
I'm very happy that I found your channel. Love this walk and humble journey full of healing words and wisdom. I could watch time and time again. Thank you~~~
Thanks so much for the kind words! Glad you enjoyed the stroll. Look forward to another in the fall. 🍂🍁🍂🍁
Soooo relaxing. Right up there with Gimbal Test 3 and Sunset at Kangaroo Lake. Thumbs up.
Wow, you're well-versed in the offerings in The Junk Drawer, I see! lol. Thanks Phyllis, always appreciated. :-)
this is so calm and relaxing... you are truly a gentle soul!
I'm glad that comes across, SadEgg. These kinds of videos make it easy to express that, and it's nice to put that out into the world. The world needs more gentleness, I think.
So beautiful and positive 😊 I marvel at your ability to find such a quiet and empty path, and I love listening to your footsteps

That’s true! The emptier paths near me are so full of spiders I try to take the more popular ones 😂

Gaslamp ASMR yes loved it
I love your outside and in nature videos and what you talk about really is good for the imagination 😀

So glad that it holds up to repeat viewings! Look for the "Chilly Autumn Trail" video next. :-)
I thought I knew that park for a minute, and it's been raining here too. I need to get back there soon.
LOL, well, I hope the video wasn't *that* specific! :-) Enjoy!
Got the notification immediately jumped into bed lol

Gaslamp ASMR Absolutely! Thanks for the advice-it’s much appreciated
You bet. ASMR turns us all into amateur cinematographers, and we're all learning together.
hey new friend here just subbed and liked amazing video!! let’s stay connected 😁👍🏻😊
Hey, thanks for being here! Welcome!
I don't know how you don't have more subs, I am sure it will happen and when it does please stay true to Gaslamp style!
I’ll do my best, Ben! lol As for the subs, you’ll just have to send a few my way, I guess! ;-)
I would love to see your content on the tingles app also.
Thanks for the suggestion, Ben.
The twigs snapping🤤
Yep, very snappy. That was me failing to move quietly along the trail. ;-)
Ah reminds me of old Whispering Voice videos from Wales
That's kind of you to say. Any comparison to those original creators from the whisper video days is high praise, as far as I'm concerned.
omg I loved his cooking in the woods vids! takes me back
Hey gaslamp how did your get your camera so still when your walking. I'm just curious
