  • Very stoked to film an inspirational photographer/ friend, Ryomu Tsugami. His perspectives show how the ordinary places can be more exciting and unique.
Let's explore more about the place where you live, and make sure you don't forget to look up and down!

Beautifully shot Tatsu. I particularly loved the bubbles and the way you presented the scale of things. The edits were amazing. Hope to see more like this soon. A series of people’s stories/perspectives would be brilliant. I vote Caela’s Story ;-)

it really is true that we miss so much of what is around us simply because we don’t look up or down. a few years ago, i hired some vespas 🛵 for a couple of days and rode around auckland city with my brothers and cousins. it was kinda funny, we looked like a mini-bikie gang 😂 we’ve been there many times, but as we were riding down the main street, i noticed so many things id never seen before because there was no car roof obstructing the view upwards. anyway, another great video 👏🏽

ITs an amazing vid, great job!! Keep on going! :) Just one kind note, I feel that the word you were looking for is not awkward.. :) More likely the feel to be amazed, or mesmerised perhaps?

Alexandrous We sat there for a while looking for the right way to translate “Iwakan.”
He originally wrote “strangeness”. I suggested just using “Iwakan” in Romanji but he wanted an English word. Iwakan doesn’t translate to a single word but rather the combined feelings of “Strange/Weird/Unsettling/Not-Quite-Right” and we settled on “Awkward” after like an hour of debating. Hahah.

Haha i see, I completely understand the struggle. I have some friends from Japan, and even from Korea, and I heard many times they can't translate some words.. :) My mother tongue not English, but now i understand more what you both meant to say, somehow i feel unsettling is better, but of course it is your decision, and wont change the fact that I really like the video!
      Greatings from London!
