Some good info and some bad, I've had mine for 9 months started in a 10 gallon and switched to 30 gallon after 6 months and never added pods he eats frozen cyclops and any pods that are still in the tank.
i feed live baby brine, tigger pods, and was lucky enough to get them on frozen foods (bloodworms, mysis etc) every few weeks i reseed more live pods via mailorder ❤
Mandarins also eat munnid isopods and other microfauna so do not eat just copepods. Although some people refer to isopods as copepods which is incorrect.

They can possibly live with cleaner or fire shrimp but there is a risk the shrimp will steal food from the seahorses or, if they're larger horses, they may prey on the shrimps. -Salty Ali!

Great video. I think you are spot on. U need a refugium to make them survive. Have one in my 120 for over a year and just lives on microfauna

if you can keep seahorses you can prob manage a mandarin
Mine are on frozen brine shrimp. But I do put in copepods about every 3 weeks

Agreed . Kept one in a 30g but you do have to add pods frequently.
