Don't worry, everyone carries a bit of fallout from those tests. It will be with us forever.

imagine in modern day this happening with Kessler affect only a psychopath would ever want to do this I could think of one person his name starts with a P that is thinking about nukes in space

The EMP alone from one megaton nuke in low orbit would cause billions of damage in blown up electronics and damage to the power grid, the resulting radiation cloud in orbit would also damage billions in damage to satellites as well.

@@bami2 and the crazy thing about it is if someone did this they're not only destroying their satellites but everyone else's that has satellites up there so it would put a huge Target on the country that did it from practically every superpower that has satellites and usually nukes and I doubt the country is willing to do that knowing how much it cost to put up satellites let alone Manufacturing and monitor them it would be a colossal disaster bigger than when the US set off a nuke in orbit ruined a lot of people's power grids and satellites but back then it wasn't that many satellites in orbit so it wasn't a big disaster these days there are thousands and every civilized modern country has or is in with another country that has satellites in orbit it would affect the entire world satellite constellation from just the debris field of one satellite overtime can destroy many and that debris field gets bigger with every destruction until there is no functioning satellites left it's just debris and that's basically a simple example of The Kessler effect and what a nuclear bomb can do blowing up in orbit these days to destroy someone satellite
