- Long before "Gavin and Stacey" made Barry a natinally known area, Butlins had a holiday camp there. Even when we were there, it was showing it's age, (built in the 30's - 40's I reckon!) It's since been demolished. If you took a holiday there, you might recognise some of the land marks. (You might even be in the film!)
