Good, quick video and intro to some of the basic and advanced features. Thanks for the demo of a few of the bidirectional tests and diagnostics. The graphing feature is nice to have, glad you covered that a bit just to see the value of the data products it can provide. The active screen video and vehicle functions help show what's actually going on, rather than just talking about it. Nice job, subbed for more. 👊🍺🇺🇸
I just bought the D1 ProS and so far I am very pleased with it. It's the big brother to the D1 Lite but it is still very light and slim. Its about as thick as a tablet with a protective case. Im coming from an Xtool D8 and it has been a good tool but Im really liking the Autel software. Really easy to navigate and very intuitive. I like the menu keys at the bottom and top. Ive used Launch tools and they're good but I think I like the Otofix powered by Autel better. It"s very fast and not glichy navigating through the windows. Feels very premium. It could use a kickstand but it's not a big deal for me. No topology but these days I don"t mind that on aftermarket tools as they probably arn't accurate anyways. Time will tell if the support is any good as it was with Xool. They respond fast when you contact them with issues and correct them fast.
Just got mine and gonna try it on a few of my cars today. I specifically went for it because its bidirectional. I have the FiXd reader and a cheaper plug in scanner. Just reading theoriblems still makes it hard to find the problem. I'm hoping I can do way more to find my problems now, especially being able to control and test various parts.
Thanks for the comment, the bi directional capacity it really handy for testing things and it makes the scanner more than just an engine scanner as you can get into the body computer.
@@xlightssx No problem at all. No scanner will do a true compression test, for that you need a compression gauge to actually measure cylinder pressure. What some scanners do is called a "static" compression test so the engine cranks and the scanner measures the speed rotation of the engine and calculates how "evenly" the engine turns over. If there is a spot within the 360 degrees where the engine turns faster it calculates which piston has compression at that point and that cylinder would be considered low. Its not the most accurate, but it gives a general idea. Your car has to be capable of doing this test as the scanner gets all the measurements from the sensors, so even the most expensive scanner will not do it on a car that's not capable of providing the information. To answer your question I haven't tried it with the scanner. It will most likely do it. Many scanners will do it on Fords. Asian cars are hit and miss.
Its the same software Autel uses, well maybe not exactly but pretty close, and it says powered by Autel on the box. The menu and how it acts is the same as Autel. Otofix is a division of Autel. Just like Chevy and Buick are both powered by GM
@@GarageKing Ahh, ok. Hmm, I've been thinking about getting another scanner for DIY work on my vehicle, may have to take a closer look at Otofix. Thanks

Can you access the internet and RUclips with this device?
Yes you can, if you go to the 2:00min mark you can see I start dragging the apps over and Google Chrome is one of the apps.
@ wow, thanks for taking the time to reply! Also, can it do compression test?

I'm confused, what do you mean "Powered by Autel"?

I just gave one away for free
Your a generous guy, I found the Otofix to work pretty well, especially in its price point. Merry Christmas to you !
