- I thought I had uploaded this video weeks ago, but apparently not. I did find it on my Dailymotion channel. So I'll correct that oversight right now.
I was stop by the local police who said I had a headlight out. I hadn't noticed any lack of vision, but given the brightness of todays headlights, it would be hard to notice. Sure enough, it was out. The next day I ran to Meijer and picked up a new headlight. Here's the install.
I had one changed at a dealer in Utah in 2020 cost me $25 total
I had one changed in Florida in early 2021 cost me $112 (lamp was $60)
Now the dealer in New Mexico wants $200 to change it (lamp is still $60)
Your video will save me at least $140, this time around and much more in the future.
Thanks so much!
$60 for a headlight, then labor on top of that. Wow, that is outrageous.
These headlights are easy to change. One thing I would recommend is using a magnetic screwdriver so you don't drop the mounting ring screws when you put them back in. Otherwise, it easy to do.
Thanks for watching.
Exactly what I was looking for I appreciate you showing the light and part number 🔥
Glad I could help.
My express work van was is a wired lemon I believe! I’m constantly changing bulbs and have had recalls for door controls. Great video!
Does you express van have any kind of weird locking issues while you're driving? Mine will constantly keep locking while I'm in motion but stop when I stop at a light.
There's a recall on my work van that I have been blowing off for the past year. The shop has been pressuring me to get it to a dealer, for a window motor of all things.
Any way, thanks for watching.
Thanks for the video on this H6054 headlight replacement. Always change in pairs, once one goes out the other one is not far behind. From Edmonton AB CAN
I wonder why these vans are so awful in the headlight department? I've been through 4 in 3 years and I see many other vans with only one.
Just what I needed. Work van had one low beam out and the other high beam out so replacing both. Thanks.
The Express is still easy to change. The van uses the tried and true headlight retainers unlike the Malibu, but that's a nightmare for a other time😉
Thanks for watching.
thank you bought one for work recently and had to replace a tail light and a headlight this helped me out
Glad I could help
My old County van used to eat turn signal bulbs like crazy rear or front it wasn't picky. if this darn weather starts to get it's act together I will be posting some videos my self. I debated on doing a video on bad weather video but hey Michigan is like this a lot. I like your work videos you've done pretty cool stuff.

Thank You. I just wanted to post something. I have another moto-vlog coming, but I think it still needs work.
This is weird because I am also from Michigan. I lived in Lenawee County in the past as well. I was just checking to see how to change the sealed beams on my Chevy Express van before I buy LED lights. I didn't know if it already had the H4 plug or if I would need to buy a specific wiring harness.
hmm looks like this particular type of headlights doesn't have a replacement bulb right?
Good job my friend 👏🏾👏🏾👏🏾thank you
Same here with my 2017 Both Head lights less than 20k Miles
