    Real cool idea but they make 2 digital devices now that does the same thing much more compact ,one pricey the other one not so much. But I hope before the yr is up I want to redo my old 8mm films again.

      Here is an example for an old nomal 8 - not super 8 - scan.

      Material and camera regstration have been bad, so material doesn't look great. Super 8 is a lot better. My quintessence: better use an stepper motor as drive. There is lots of postprocessing necessary: I took three exposures per frame with different apertures. For each clip, I selected the best exposure. Color correction and stabilization has been done in Davinci Resolve.
