He can express the most difficult concepts with such fluency and elegance! I felt so elated when I read in Neale Donald Walsch's 'Friendship with God'... God saying...Read Dr. Deepak Chopra's books! I used to love following him a lot for quite a few years in the 90's but then for me something seemed "off" compared to many other gurus I encountered, , looking for Life's answers. I moved on and was no longer drawn to him. Then a few years ago I heard him really trash and badmouth a political figure and I shrank in horror at the pomposity, but somehow I just let it go because I had lost interest in his mode of teaching, he seemed a bit not genuine. I was delighted to listen to him here and feel a bit more comfortable with him like when I first discovered him. With spiritual teachers its really important to tune into your own intuition and trust that when a student is ready, the right teacher appears, and just trust that. Fitbit? well now I have to look into that, I had given up on that sort of thing.

Poverty and the reality that because of the lack of access to education and poverty are realtime speed breakers to what you are explaining ! I agree with everything. But is it not easy to speak this when poverty is not there in our life and where for a lot of people , poverty is a lived life and the lived life is a dream, a constant dream of the reality of poverty ! 9:30 everybody only accepts it because it’s a very real problem. We don’t want to acknowledge it because it makes us unhappy but we have to give it recognition. Ignoring life and social constructs, no matter how insane they are, isn’t an option otherwise that’s ignorance in my opinion. Being oblivious to the world and focussing on your own awareness is good but it isn’t possible to maintain 100% of the time. Yes, you can take yourself away from the rest of the world and all of its insanity like the gurus or monks, this will make you happy of course, but how can you live with yourself knowing that these monsters are destroying your planet? There is no obligation of course to do anything or influence others actions but I personally couldn’t go away and separate myself from society full time knowing that there are people who need my help. I agree that going away from this madness is necessary and this chaos has gotten too bad to control or change without a miracle but I do think that completely isolating oneself from ‘the norm’ is selfish and quite ignorant just so one can be happy in their own self. P.s. I do love this content and this discussion but this is just my opinion. I also give huge respect to Chopra 12:06 especially as he is imparting his knowledge upon others to help them whilst still maintaining his own inner peace and strength. I think this is a respectable way to live. This is sustainable happiness that isn’t living in ignorance. The second half of the video about breathing breaks, helping with nerves, being in love to allow time to not be considered... I love all of this. Peace, harmony, laughter and love.
Except that by declaring that "experience is a projection of the mind" Chopra is inviting you to deny your reality. He wants you to believe his reality and buy his books.

9:30 everybody only accepts it because it’s a very real problem. We don’t want to acknowledge it because it makes us unhappy but we have to give it recognition. Ignoring life and social constructs, no matter how insane they are, isn’t an option otherwise that’s ignorance in my opinion. Being oblivious to the world and focussing on your own awareness is good but it isn’t possible to maintain 100% of the time. Yes, you can take yourself away from the rest of the world and all of its insanity like the gurus or monks, this will make you happy of course, but how can you live with yourself knowing that these monsters are destroying your planet? There is no obligation of course to do anything or influence others actions but I personally couldn’t go away and separate myself from society full time knowing that there are people who need my help. I agree that going away from this madness is necessary and this chaos has gotten too bad to control or change without a miracle but I do think that completely isolating oneself from ‘the norm’ is selfish and quite ignorant just so one can be happy in their own self.
P.s. I do love this content and this discussion but this is just my opinion.
I also give huge respect to Chopra 12:06 especially as he is imparting his knowledge upon others to help them whilst still maintaining his own inner peace and strength. I think this is a respectable way to live. This is sustainable happiness that isn’t living in ignorance.
The second half of the video about breathing breaks, helping with nerves, being in love to allow time to not be considered... I love all of this. Peace, harmony, laughter and love.
