I just bought a bottle of the MM 101 and they hit it out of the park, it's incredible and the new bottles now have the paper label like the regular & the 46 with the 101 marking on it, not the etched bottle and it now has a cork at least the bottles I have I emailed MM and they verified that they now are using the classic paper labels on the 101 bottles!. I picked up 2 bottles so I could take the half bottle of the MM 46 I have and I topped it the rest of the way with the 101, giving me basically a 97.5 proof bottle of MM 46! Tasty as hell! and if you pick up enough bottles of the 101 and hang on to the cork afterwards, they fit perfectly in all the other MM bottles. great review and 🥃Cheers!

I saw this on the shelf next to the cask strength for the same price. I bought the cask strength since I couldn't understand buying the lower proof for the same money.

The 46 is great and I also recommend any Maker's 46 store picks you can get. I tried 'The Whisky Shop' store pick in the UK and it was a great dram if a little pricey. Great show guys!. P.S. If Mr Snuffleupagus keeps poppin' in for a sniff of the whisky, you should give him a job!

Maker's 46. I had a bottle a while back. I was not thrilled with the neck pour, by the last dram months later, it was a very different experience.
been awhile since i had the 46, need to pick some up and try again.
Had this one on the shelf since Thanksgiving and had barely touched it. Did a little sip along with you guys review. 🥃👌

I really enjoyed Maker's Mark(I do generally like weated bourbon) next time I'm definitely picking that one up being for $36.49 it's definitely worth it. I think some Bourbons so overpriced and people chasing rarity they are missing out on really really great burdens. I agree on everyone you mentioned I just add i really enjoy Four Roses, four - five years ago I used to buy Henry McKenna 10 year old all the time $29.99(I wish I kept the stockpile with a prices out of its mind right now). Wish speedy recovery and keep up great job. Thank you guys.

Perfect timing...I was torn between cask strength and this 101 version a couple of days ago. Now I know, 101 it is. Thanks as always. Are you sure that your loss of smell isn't from all of the "Wow" you've been sniffing over the years? :0)

This is the most expensive bottle of bourbon I've ever bought and I can't tell you how disappointed I am with the cheap plastic screw top.
I wouldn’t worry about that. If you buy a Yamasaki 18 year for even more money you would find a similar cap. They do it because it seals better then a cork and won’t suffer dry rot and or corrupt the whisky.
@@ScotchTestDummies I agree that the whiskey is quite good, but I guess I have to get over the association of screw tops with the cheap stuff on the bottom shelf. The wine industry has managed to change people's thinking.
I must admit to loving the little “pop” of the cork just prior to the pour.
