Please give us the authentic Wet Weights and Seat Heights, because Triumph India website says it is 841mm/186kg wet for the Scrambler and 798mm/170kg wet for the Speed 400, whereas all the major channels are saying it is 835mm/179kg wet for Scrambler and 795mm/170kg wet for the Speed400.

as he points out in the video ,, the small air-cooled 350cc enfield hunter weighs 181kg wet.. Enfield needs to make their bikes lighter.. Some people like the nature of the long stroke air-cooled 350cc enfield engine ,, but they need slighty more power 10-15% and some serious weight reduction.. take of 12kg on all models.. A Hunter with a wet weight of 169kg and 30Nm of torque and 23.2hp.. , a 350 Meteor with a wet weight of 179kg and the classic 350 coming in at 183kg... the super meteor at 229kg. (not the heavy 241kg stock) This new engine has exactly the same bore (89mm) as the Bajaj Dominar 400 but a slightly longer stroke to increase midrange and bottom end torque..
Triumph/Bajaj F** up one thing that is the speedo, being a CBR 250 rider I love analog digital mix, but how could they flip the places of speedo and tacho...
Bike may be cheaper due to bajaj but we should remember it's a Triumph in the end the service costs may not be same as bajaj service and dealer network is also not widespread. It could be a repeat of what happened with TVS-BMW same bikes and parts but much larger cost differences just for the badge. Same thing with Honda CB350. Honda has a large service network but they can't service the CB350. So you need to travel to the service center spending a large part of the day in travelling for a work that will take around an hour to be done. Triumph should set up service points at bajaj service center with trained individuals.
Scrambler 400x looks more upmarket and big bike due its larger wheel, disk size, wheelbase and more importantly its color scheme while looks identical to Bonneville range.
This year is going to be best year for mid range segment. This bike, HD440, Aprilia is coming with rs440 and Yamaha will launch r3. Damn so many options to choose with verity of models 😅
Everything as of now is perfect. Nothing major has been skipped. And pls stop this obsession with Bluetooth, rather have an affordable bike without Bluetooth than a costly one due to its inclusion. Now, if only the pricing is perfect, we’ll see a paradigm shift in the Indian motorcycling space. I’LL probably begin saving money…….
The probability of these being priced under 3 lakhs is very slim. These are premium mid range bikes from a brand like Triumph, no way this is below 3.5 or 4 lakhs on-road for sure

@@varun2250No. You will can see the design of disk is different in both bike at 9:35 there are rivets on 400x disk connecting it instead of being one piece. This is superior in heat dissipation and other things.
I'd like to nit-pick by asking for a better looking instrument cluster, better rear grab rail and maybe better tail lights, because for the time being it kinda looks like the ronin from the straight front and rear

This should be a twin cylinder. even if it was an air cooled sohc unit would be just fine. When market is already been flooded by single cylinder bike adding one more at premium price doesn't make sense.

Its the same DOHC setup with same power figures like KTM any single cylinder with DOHC above 350 cc with such power figures means high compression and it will ultimately result in high vibes...I don't think it will be refined for sure.. telling from past 1 year of experience on these kind of engines. Even cbr250r is DOHC but due to lower compression being single cylinder it was a refined legendary machine.. even KTM duke 250 is DOHC but 390 is not so Reliable and needs its tappet and and other things adjusted sometimes the rocker arm gets damaged and also many other things. Too much power in such single cylinder DOHC setup causes issues in reliability and refinement in the long run. The power and torque figure and also the compression shouldn't be that high as KTM i guess it will be same..
So there are bigger differences than you think. Firstly, it is counterbalanced, eliminating the harsh vibes. Next, not too rev happy, lower compression ratio = more torque and better all round rideability.

Something was looking off on these bikes which I realised just now! The swingarm is really short on these bikes! If it had a slightly longer swingarm, it would complete the look!

Market for twin cylinder is still small.. But eventually.. may be 5-10years down the line we will have good twin cylinder bikes as Indian will start doing well financial asa country.

That's ugliest RPM meter I have seen in my life. Tail light is also not the best looking but overall its perfect and everything depends upon the pricing. Ideally it shouldn't cost more than KTM 390s. Tail light should have looked like CB350RS.
IMO I liked the design of tail light. I agree about instrument cluster on bike. It just doesn't support the premium feel the bike had. It feels cheap and aftermarket.

The Triumph 400s will cost at least 1lakh more than the CB. It's no competitor. The Duke 390, CB300R, G310R are their competitors.

That's ugliest RPM meter I have seen in my life. Tail light is also not the best looking but overall its perfect and everything depends upon the pricing. Ideally it shouldn't cost more than KTM 390s. Tail light should have looked like CB350RS.
IMO I liked the design of tail light.
I agree about instrument cluster on bike. It just doesn't support the premium feel the bike had. It feels cheap and aftermarket.
