Hi, first thing for me to say is that now that I'm on a binge watch of your videos, I really like how enthusiastically you talk about things while also knowing your stuff about your taste and fashion in general. It's literally so precious. And when it comes to the video most of the things you mentioned I agree on(not sold on teeth things, but I have personal issues with teeth in general having NATURAL vampire fangs because they had grown in like that). Even if my personal aesthetic probably differs quite much from your own. Like it's so much of a mess that depends on the day. But if I were to guess I would say mine is like a weirdass mixture of gothic novel vampire/fantasy inspired(pirate-ish witchy princess dark fairy)/Monster High doll/90' Sabrina The Teen Witch-esque whimsigoth. Also very interesting thing to note, in my country(Poland), we also consider braided hairstyles traditional, Slavic people in general do. I know I wore them my whole childhood up to like 8th Grade I think, when I cut most of my hair off, but dam were they long at that point(like halfway my bottom). We also have a tradition for head scarves(if you look up slavic hair scarf the ones with flowers are the ones used in Poland, I myself have a dark purple and black one). Mixing textures is my favorite honestly, for a long time I used only like shades of black so to find ONE thing in my wholeass wardrobe I literally had to search by touch because I knew my thigs by the fabrics more. Now it's easier though when I started using some colour, still not that much(just some cotton candy pink, very icy white, pumpkin orange, wine-y/bloody/cherry reds and foresty/grassy greens). And what I of course adore is jewelry(almost all types besides earring but that's only because I can't have anything pierced with my crappy health). But other types I do stack(my personal staples are the things I have a sentimental connection to like the jewelry from the travels and events I've been too for example my Marțișor choker thing I made at a cultural workshop during my studies at Uni(I studied Romanian Philology btw and it's a very old spring tradition from the place). I have also recently gotten new prescription glasses as my old ones just snapped in half and I'm literally blind as a bat without them(new ones are wine red cat eyes) and I love them so much. Like they make me feel so confident and just me.
aww wow thank you so much! i truly appreciate it! i totally understand where you’re coming from just because of your own personal experiences with some of the mentioned styles and topics. so that makes a lot of sense. your style you described sounds so cool! i’ve always loved the gothic vampire fantasy look, was really into that when i was growing up. Loved Monster High especially. that’s super interesting about your culture in poland with the traditional braided hairstyles and head wraps i’ll most definitely look into that bc im very intrigued. the fabric method you mentioned is something i never thought of. since you’re really into fabrics bc you have a lot of the same colors in your wardrobe that’s super impressive. do you have a go to fabric that’s your favorite? yess jewelry is so fun and easy to incorporate into your style. sorry to hear about you, not being able to pierce your ears. i’d love to see the pieces that you made. That sounds really really cool and I understand where you’re coming from with the sentimental value that some of the pieces have because for me, I have my lame necklace and my Africa necklace that my mother gave me that I always keep on. that’s so funny that you’ve gotten new prescription glasses. I also ordered a two pairs of new prescription glasses that are kind of out of my normal style. I’m excited to see how I can incorporate that into my everyday style but the ones that you described sound really cute I love red.
@@O.ZIOMAA Yes, I in fact do have favorite fabrics, ones I tend to gravitate more towards. But as my style is so much of a mix each microstyle has their own texture I tend to choose. Like my gothy vampiric things are mostly lace, velvet, leather, latex/vinyl and fishnet/mesh while fairy-ish are cotton, linen, crocheted and knitted, fake fur, corduroy and that specific tapestry like fabric. I adore satin & silk too though. Still I think the number one would be velvet and number two would be lace. Patternwise though I'm more picky. I do like gingham but only red-white, plaid depends on the colors and horizontal stripes very rarely find their way into my wardrobe. The white & black vertical ones though are something I actually like, and I mean those Tim Burton-y thick ones only. I cannot deal with polka dots however. The skull print only exists to me in a few vewry rare cases. The thing I do love the most however is embroidery, that's another thing that exists in the polish traditional clothes. But it differs in regions. As do all typical traditional clothes honestly. And yeah, I did a deep dive into that rabbit hole few years back for a school project so I learned quite a lot. Which was fun. Especially since it's somewhat connected to the history and I am quite a nerd for the history of fashion. And yeah, maybe it is a slight ad for my country but I just love sharing stuff like that about my home. 😊
