As far as locking ones self out of a vehicle goes....Police in my area will unlock vehicles for free as long as a waiver is signed. The waiver basically states that Police are not responsible for damage done while unlocking a vehicle
Every everything you say going on the side of the you end up scrapping it
I appreciate you stopping and checking on that kid. It was very nice that you went back and checked again. Olivia is always a treat to see... Stay safe Paul
I love how you care about people not many would have gone to check twice on the lad and for him to have stayed out of the car upon your advice says a lot about your character that people can trust you. I love seeing Olivia she is so adorable my wish for her is to get the proper treatment for her ears and be as happy as can be. Have a wonderful day!
I am so glad you stopped for that young man. If that was his 1st accident he must have been a little scared and upset. Just having someone care enough to stop can be an enormous relief. That was a pretty good load considering. It's not hoarding if you make use of it or pass it on. If I hoarded anything it was books . I still keep some but now I give most of them to my local Hospital to sell in their bookshop. It feels good to know that I enjoyed it now someone else will and the Hospital benefits. Have a great weekend Paul. Blessings . Keep Safe ❤Keep Well❤
'Further' vs. 'Farther'! Thanks for clearing that up, Paul. My girlfriend is from New York, and she always uses 'further' when relating to distance. I used to correct her, but now I just let it go to keep the peace. It really is an East Coast thing, because her family and friends from the East use 'further' instead of 'farther' too!
Good to see you again. Take care.
Paul Paul Paul!!! Thanks for taking us along with you!!! I appreciate you!!! Stay safe stay great and keep up the good work!!!!
Not a bad day Paul. That was awesome of you to stop & as if the young lad was ok. Have a great weekend 🙏🏻😀🇨🇦
Love the purple Schwinn. The young fella that was "parked" precariously, glad he is OK.
Hi Paul,
Enjoy your vlog before I go to sleep.
Fortunately you were able to open the door again.
You are a compassionate citizen in helping people.
Wish you a good weekend. Hans
Thanks for that
Amen. That was so nice of you stopping and asking if that kid needed any help. That table and chairs look really nice you did pretty good with the scrap. Take it easy out there Paul. We got a little spring weather a few day’s ago and it was beautiful and freezing out like 19. Hugs and kisses for Olivia 🥰 she’s so sweet. Thank you for sharing have a wonderful weekend 😊
I used to work at a Scrap yard in Tallahassee, FL. I worked in the office but I was also used in the warehouse. I answer your questions of "is that steel? and 90% of the time I answer whether it is or not. Could be brass? could be Copper. I enjoyed my time and brought home some "goodies". Left there after 10 yrs. So watching you brings back a lot of fun memories.
Hey Pat. Good to hear it brings back some nice memories
Locking my truck happened a lot on those models... I had an key made that was flat at the hardware store. It would not start the truck but it would unlock the door and it was flat enough to carry in my wallet... Saved my bacon lots of times....
smart
People throw out so many things that are still useful. My neighbors have thrown away huge fern plants. I took 3 of them and planted them in my backyard flower bed to fill it in. They look great in my southern AL backyard. Another neighbor threw away waist high steel shelving. Well I walked those 2 perfectly good units to my house and put them in my storage shed. I've got all my flower pots on the bottom shelves and other growing stuff on the top shelves. Free works for me. Am I a garbage picker? Yes, and proud of it too.
Paul!!! Can you believe I felt bad when I saw the snow in your video, but before I watched, I ran out for snacks cause everyone knows ya need snacks when watching the Scrap& Pallet Man show, anyways I got outside and...yup, it's snowing here, thanks a lot buddy...🤣😂😅
Ps my surgery went well yesterday home recuperating now. Be blessed.🙏
Glad to hear your surgery went well. I hope you're not in too much pain. And thanks again for giving me a heads up on that imposter channel
@@ScrapPalletMan I'm watching your video as your texting me right now hopefully you remember to tell your viewers about it.
God be Praised❣️
Whoa, I hate freezing rain when driving!
Hey Paul Prices went up out here in Vegas 50 cents a lb for insulated copper wire. It was down to 35 cents. So I gathered all I had and did pretty good. Brought in 385 lbs and some I decided to strip about 30 lbs. It's was quite hard with a utility knife lol....And can you believe it we got about 2 inches of snow in Boulder City couple days ago !!
I saw my friend's house had some snow
@Scrap & Pallet Man Very unusual in Vegas as you know !!
Paul you're the best man God is going to keep you for a long time Scrappy
Came in late. Your a good man Paul. More then you thought and two bikes to sell. Pets for Olivia and hugs for you and your family and your sweet lady and her family. God bless you and watch over all of you. 🙂💕🙂
It was awesome to see you checking up on that kid you are a kind man stay safe and well 🙏
Hey Paul, it’s good to see you out again! I live in Virginia and yesterday we had temperatures of 65 degrees. Today, we have gotten snow all day and our high today was 35. No one knows how to dress in this weather! Stay safe & warm!
Snow❤️ thanks for taking me along scrapping Have a blessed weekend
Love seeing the snow. Moved to Florida 20 years ago but still miss the snow. Olivia looked happy.
Good Evening Paul 🙋🏽. Stay warm and safe out there ‼️
I am happy that you are keeping the scrap metal out of the landfill. Great video
Alfredo looks like a nice dude and all that, but it'll be nice to see Michael again.
Where is Michael?
I was just gonna say something about missing Michael in the videos.
I've done the same thing, lock myself out of my car with keys in ignition. I now carry an extra key in my clothing, just in case. 😄
And you stopped for that young man (twice!) on National Random Acts of Kindness Day, Paul. Just like you. Not a bad scrap day…little by little it adds up! Loved the one old school bike! I have a picture of me on my first trike which was a Schwinn then years later we all went to a bike shop to get me a “big girl” Schwinn. Olivia couldn’t be any cuter if she tried. 🥰 Stay warm!
I did a job in a factory that processes the cherries and makes chocolate covered cherries. Chocolate covered cherries were one of my favorite confections, and I could eat all I wanted, because I was working on installing and commissioning equipment that packaged the cherries! After 3 weeks there I can hardly stand to look at a chocolate covered cherry anymore!
It is good to see that you changed your focus from all metal to what presented you with an opportunity to continue your business. Those who adapt survive.
Got tired of having to break into my truck! :)
Got a quick tip for you Paul. I learned a long while back accidentally locking myself out of my company vehicle to get yourself a small carabiner keychain and have the ignition key and the key fob so you can put the fob in your pocket as you get in and out frequently if you leave the vehicle running. This has saved my butt after I figured it out. Works great if you need to have your vehicle worked on too, as you can just pull your house keys and such straight off when dropping it off. Keep up the awesome videos.
Now THAT'S a good idea
when you said hey now i had to sing the song "hey now hey now" my brain gets side tracked and keeps on going!! so now that song will be stuck in my head till something better comes along !!!
🎵🎶😃
My 46 year old daughter has ADD. Bringing her up was quite a challenge. No meds back then. She takes them now she can focus. I understand the challenge.
I love Google Earth! I use a lorry (large truck) for my vintage tractor hobby and having a bed that`s 22 feet long means I have to investigate possible parking spaces at times and it`s brilliant for that. But I have also left quite a "mark" in my garden (yard) which was visible on Google Earth for some time. I was burning some rubbish and it got out of hand, set fire to a scrap 4x4, my neighbour`s fence and three of his garden sheds! It took three fire appliances to put the fire out, one to pump and two to transfer water because there water supply wasn`t good! And, of course, it left a nice big black mark!
My mom had a problem with locking the keys in the car. She had to keep an extra set of keys in her pocket whenever she took the car out.
I glad I am not the only one that hits the lock button by accident when they get out!!!😅
If memory serves me correct, Mystic Seaport is the Home of the Merchant Marines. Ty for taking us along Paul
I'm glad the kid didn't go all the way in the ravine. Spring may be on the way but I'm still hoping for at least one good snow before summer gets here.
I’ve been locked out a couple of times the last time my friend. Had triple AAA she said it wasn’t to expensive to carry be careful on that Keto diet to of friends had to quit it because they developed kidney & liver issues prayers Paul for you & family ❤
Wow, looks like you had another snow. It was 71 degrees day before yesterday here and 23 degrees last night with rain all night. Weather is crazy. Man, I know how it feels to lock yourself out of your vehicle. Glad you got it opened so soon being so cold out. You be careful out there, thanks Paul...
I was lucky
You were blessed, there is no luck..
@Reba, I agree Christians don't have luck. Our lives are orchestrated by the Lord!
When trying to find the positive in everything, a layer of snow in your truck bed makes it quieter for the neighborhood!😁 Spring is right around the corner! 😁🌞🌷🌸🌼✌️
Hello Paul all of that snow wow I could not be driving in that I'm in Georgia and we get snow maybe every 3 to 4 years thank you another nice video
I'm from Georgia too. I don't miss the snow. I love watching Paul.
Always appreciate more joy in the world Seeing Olivia brings me joy Wish I could give her a hug so you'll have to give her one from all of us What a great doggo🐕 You can surely make music with anything and anywhere Paul I love it when you're spontaneous Got alot of snow but the sun and bright blue sky make it alot better please don't slip in all the slush actually I'm not a fan of winter 🇨🇦🦩
Reusing is not hoarding, it is not wasting. 👍🐝🌞
Truth
Hi Paul, rather than have to carry spare keys I made a flap to cover the buttons as like you I sometimes need a bit of support when getting out of the car…
Looks like a winter wonderland came in be careful out there and stay warm
Nice save on getting the door unlocked so glad you left that window open just enough.
Hey Paul, my Chev Silverado is a lot like yours in that I've gotten out, the horn honks, I'm locked out!! Once I had to call the office lock service, cost me $50.00 to unlock my truck! Now I keep a spare key in one of those magnetic boxes hidden on my truck, saves me alot of money as it still locks itself sometimes! I enjoy your videos keep up the Great Work! God Bless You and Your Family, stay safe!👍
My son had ADD.
When he was learning his "times tables", in 3rd grade, the first time time the class took the test and they had 3 minutes to answer 100 questions, him and another boy finished first, at the same time, and got all of them right.
It was then that they started to test him on higher levels, and found out that he was very good at math.
If he wasn't challenged, he'd start to act up in class, cause he was board.
attention def is a superpower
Being locked out of your vehicle isnt fun for anyone,LOL. That has happened to me in the past. In your case I would make a temporary guard over those buttons and tape it on. Luckily your window was opened and it wasnt 0 degrees out or worse anyhoo nice hand work,LOL!.... Glenn
And sadly my cell phone and wallet were in the truck. I would have been walking all the way to my house
@@ScrapPalletMan Matter of time before it happens again put a temp cover over those buttons now,LOLLL! My current car beeps when the keys are inside and never locks itself with the keys inside running or not running.... Thank Heavens for that....
I really enjoy your posts.God bless you and your family.
Kuga-wolf!
Hey Paul, I have watched you for years and you inspired me to start my own channel! I have a little warmer weather to work with down here in Orlando, fl. Stay safe and keep on scrapping
Hey Paul...great scrapping content...just wanted to point out when you was talking about brakes...if they are for drums they are called shoes...if it is for disc brakes than they are called pads...If I remember correctly you said oh got some pads for drum brakes...it couldn't be that way...
As always thanks for the videos...
Hello Paul I still can't believe someone threw out those set of drums that you found at somebody's curb
Hi Paul stay warm
Funny that google is chewing you out! Lol!
Did Mike sell the business?
Where I live in Carlisle Cumbria England we have a recycling bikes centre that service & donate & sell bike's that have been donated, they give them to families in need & health professionals so they can get to work
I did the exact same thing a few days ago… used an aluminum screen frame to unlock door..windows were down a little just like yours.. oh my..
I wish you lived closer. If you did I would go to your workshop and tear all the items apart so you could get the most out of them money wise. I love to piddle around with stuff, I love breaking things down. They don't frustrate me like they do others
ANOTHER cool vid!!
Quick friendly advice --
Put a spare key IN YOUR WALLET !!!!
[Sorry to state the obvious-- but learned the hard way! (In my case, dragged my supervisor 30 minutes away to bring out a spare key for my work truck) ] NOT a smart move! Fortunately, I was where I was SUPPOSED to be !! Haha 😄
THANKS for taking us along!!
I laughed when you rid the bike so funny xxx
Hi scrap & pallet man amazing to see your video be safe and keep warm and have amazing weekend
Same to you Brenda
G'day brother from oz! Looking forward to seeing your killer red pick up loaded ! Bring on the next scrap cruise
i still live in Washington state (chehalis) 3 days ago i had snow day again . more snow is coming next week and more cold days that it going down to ;low 19 degree 5 times since November .My friend house have Dual fuel gas furnace with heat pump , outside sensor 35 degree going turn off. The heat pump unit outside and dual fuel gas furnace comes on automatic kick from the dual fuel thermtast wall. My home have ground water source water to indoor air heat pump. The coldest weather happen in year 2007 , 2014 and 2016 with too many cold days and longer winter time. next week i going to only pick up scrap metal at machine shop with one load up every months.
Good to see you out and about Paul, your doing a great work. 👍 G
Paul, have you ever thought about keeping a spare key made and keeping it in your wallet? Any hardware store will do it. I myself had one made when I locked myself out a couple of times.
I am so glad to see you Paul. Was worried a bout. I said prayers for you every night for you to get well. Love your video. Evelyn from Texas.
Hey Paul why don't you just leave the truck door open then you won't lock the keys in
Crows have face recognition.. it will remember you Paul!!
ADD to explain to someone it's like going in to a room and forgetting why you went in there
Might start folding laundry and take the dish towels away and start washing the dishes and go get the dish soap and clean the cabinet out and take the the bath soap to the bathroom off of the bedroom and start folding the laundry again
Bad Decisions make wise people eh Paul. Unless your a Bureaucrat/Politician, then your bad decisions just become more frequent and more often.
I got freezing rain yesterday night and went out good love scrap two truckloads and a trailer
I was watching the scraping it up and they were sending out prayers to you 🙏
LeeAnn and Michelle are awesome
Hey Paul, I know you normally leave your door open. I always roll my window down about half way because I’m always worried about the doors locking. I have locked myself out numerous times so I learned roll it Down some lol.
You are right, Paul. Spring is on the way! Here in Tennessee we have daffodils blooming and I have heard the peep frogs singing. Have a good weekend!!!!
Flowers don't lie.... Spring is on the way
@@ScrapPalletMan not soon enough
Pretty slick unlocking that door!
23* F here in Indianapolis area 06:30 Hours. I am thinking I am gratful I am not outside in your 17*F weather . You need some hot coffee my friend.
I'm sitting here waiting on Heat man.
I live in Oxnard California .
Last time it snowed here was
Back in the 80'$ .
Thanks for entertaining me! 😀
paul I just saw you get locked out of your truck with part way down and I have a suggestion for you. You probably have to look for it but get a piece of plastic or nylon that's kind of that's kind of like a channel and even if you use the hacksaw to create a channel. then take it and glue it over most of the lock button other than maybe just the tip of your finger to be to be able to hit it for lock and have the channel in enough so you can hit the unlock side. That might help keep you from inadvertently locking the door when you get out of your truck. I could draw you a sketch but don't know how I could get it to you. With it being nylon superbowl would probably hold it to the armrest there where its metal. just a suggestion.
Stanley the vacuum lol Stanley noooo 🤣🤣
I keep a tow strap in my truck just in case I'm able to pull someone out.
I like the pot holder thing
Love your Channel and love seeing Olivia
Enjoyed Watching as Always Have a Blessed Weekend Paul
Keep scraping. Keep making. God bless.
Well done Sweetie at least you are putting it back your truck 🚛 for desiel
I went to stop at stop sign after newly snowed road in Colorado, I didn’t stop! I slead. My brakes had no traction to them. Luckily no other cars at stop sign. Had to go turn around in ranch driveway!
Good Evening My Good Big Bro Paul The Scraper & Pallet Man Sir
Hey Paul 👋
Nice cold scrap day
Hi Paul, Yes come on spring !
Oh how I wish I could have some of your snowy weather here in South Ms
Paul, I have an idea - a spare car key on a chain around your neck for when you’re locked out!
Put one reminder note on the back door, another on the bathroom wall above the “facilities” and one more on the steering wheel of the truck!
That’s how my ADD works, 5 things at once!
I know a lot of scrap that you get could be sold.. however unless you are set up to do that its just a nightmare.. you end up with people saying oh I will buy that and either never show or show up late.. then you become a sort of store and never get the time to do scrapping.. Its best to be selective like you do now...happy scrapping
I live in Carlisle Cumbria England, I don't like the snow and ice, we have been lucky so far , we had snow and ice at the start of January 2023
That was fun watching you trying to get your car open
Always leave the window all the way down Paul lol
I told ya a while back Paul you need to get an extra key made for your truck and either keep it in your pocket or get a magnetic key holder and put it under your truck. 😁
Alright Paul I am sorry I called you a hoarder God bless you have a great day
funny thing Paul you talkin to google on this vidieo making my google home talk and telling me my weather here in Port Huron Mich So Funny how these things work Merry Christmas 2023 !!!!
😂😆
