Yeah Twitter is a horrible place. You could go on there and just say “I like apples” and some dumbass would go on there and say “well why do you hate oranges so much huh? You can control what you do on Twitter, when you make an account don't put your personal information on it, don't show your face or tell people where you live or who your friends or family members are. If you're going to show your face or personal stuff, then make your account private.

If you want to post spoiler videos, you do that. I don't have a problem with that. But including spoilers in video titles and thumbnails is not ok. Some people, including me, hate spoilers. I want to enjoy things as they happen. I know you get all the views with the titles and thumbnails, but please, for once, consider the people who don't want spoilers. 4 years of Geekdom101 and I still see spoiler titles.
He was saying around 2:50 that he has never posted spoiler titles or thumbnails which is a straight-up lie. I enjoyed his content but I can't even watch anymore because he spoils so damn much, especially when he's talking about MCU TV Shows. I don't want to know what happens in the comics. And then he casually put out DBS manga spoilers tweets a week before they were released rather than creating specific thumbnails and titles for episode discussions. He calls people idiots for questioning why he does spoiler videos and his reason is "I've always done them". I'm by no means a hater but come on man.

I think it's because we live in a "me" generation. Where these people think the world revolves them and that we have to care about their feelings and whatnot. Social media is a MAJOR contributer to this in my opinion. Technology is a blessing and a curse man. It's like everyone is so thin skinned compared to before..

Sadly social conditioning does this to people. A lot of people work traditional jobs where they work hard, get yelled at and told they are useless. The effect to that is people treat others with impatient and constantly talking down to them. Dave Chappelle said it best "Hurt people hurt people". It is a blessing to be self employed and I am glad I finally am.

I've learned to never argue on the internet in general. You'll notice people are just there to "troll". People will sit there and argue stupid points or stuff that just doesn't make any sense just to get a reaction. Its not worth the effort just read and keep it moving. I understand that in the case of Geekdom he kind of has to reply to people but at the same time he doesn't. Just ignore these clowns its not worth the energy it will just put you in a bad mood and mess with your head.

Me: Who goes out of their way to avoid spoilers, when they have no idea "how and when" something is going to happen? Who goes out of their way to watch a spoiler video when the title says "spoilers", let alone talk about it? I don't know about you but you need to tell me "in detail" what's going to happen, in order for me to remember it nor care. If the movies actually good. I never care about spoilers. From a 20-year-old movie that I'm never going to watch to a recent TV show that can easily be garbage to me.
I'm not going to go out of my way to avoid spoilers from a product I'm never buying, a show I don't care about. If I actually cared about it, I would watch it or buy it day one. Not wait weeks, months, or years.
I really do hate twitter now im 26 and started using the platform back in 2009 or so. I just cant stand it. I always loved it to follow sports music art video games even see some cute women. Its just full of politics and dumbasses trolls and scumbags. People just tweet shit without thinking

I think this may have been a hot take Geekdom. Just like there's a ton of people who want to know what would happen, their hype would lead to liking and sharing which would cause those who want to go in blind to find your video. The person you were talking with was probably just as confused and frustrated as you were. No need for the Ad Hominems

Twitter is a platform where 40% of them are idiots. You had to learn it the hard way. You also especially make clear in your videos that they will have spoilers unlike some other people who spoil things without warnings and out of nowhere to ruin the plot for others.

This is why if I suspect I'm about to ask a question that might be considered dumb, I specify that I am asking for curiosity sake to understand better.
That way, hopefully, it comes off as "Hey, I mean no offense and am genuinely wanting to know this" rather than being confrontational. 🤷♀️ 99% of the time, it works and I get to better understand a different perspective.

That's why I only post about upcoming videos. That's all social media is good for.
I look at it this way. If someone came across one of your videos talking about leak, most likely that person searched or click on it to see it. So basically they are responsible for watching the video. People seem to forget that they have the option to either watch it or not.

Spoilers are a huge problem on twitter tho. I always get pissed off and had to unfollow a lot of accounts because of them being assholes leaking chapter pages. It's a series issue with the boruto manga. Most people don't want to get spoiled and I think people need to consider not leaking pages on twitter. However if you click on a spoiler video on youtube then that's on you lol.

These movies, we can't wait until they come out, BUT, who are we to spill the beans on someone else's property or work? Then, when a video gets taken down, the person who posted it complains.
