Who has more than 75 smart home products connected at once? Anyone here with a 100? 👀 Is the Eero 6+ and Pro 6E what you have been looking for with Amazon integration and super easy setup?
I refused to answer this question on grounds it might incriminate me, lol. Nice review man, I need a new mesh system as we just got a bigger house, so will take a look at these!
Thank you so much for stating your preference in the beginning of the video. Your statement helped me make my decision, I currently have a eero (2nd generation). I have been happy with my eero but I have “1gb internet connection”, but things were getting sluggish with everyone home at once!
@@dannywinget Danny, I stumbled across this video because I'm trying to resolve an issue I have with an Internet signal, as inexpensively as I can. I live in a rear in-law suite behind my landlords house. He has Spectrum services with premium cable, phone, and Internet. The coaxil cable also comes into my apartment and feeds a premium cable Spectrum box that he pays an extra fee for. I piggyback Internet services through his wifi from the modem and router in his house, but there's too much distance and interference (walls) to get a good signal. I bought a plug in wireless signal enhancer which made the signal bearable for very light Internet surfing, but I cannot stream videos or live sports. So my question is this: can you recommend a solution for me which would resolve this problem? Thanks.
Bought it today and I'm returning it. It's up to a 500mbps difference in speed in some areas in the house.. I wanted to maintain close to 1gig speed in the room above the garage especially. With eero it's 100-200 Mbps slower than without it.
Question> I'm already using the Phillips Hue Hub and all my lights show up in the Hue App and the Alexa App but want to free up an ethernet port on my ethernet switch and remove the Hue Hub, do I just remove my Phillips Hue Hub then discover again they way you described in your video or will they still populate in the Eero Router and continue to work if the Hue Hub is removed? Thanks!
Yes. You will only need a modem. Which you may be able to buy one for yourself that will be better and you'll own it since your ISP is probably charging you for that equipment.
I have an ASUS ROG11000 triband, how will this compare? I have 7 items LAN wired in??? Supposedly this is a homekit router??? Explain being a homekit router, I don’t want anything to do with Amazon log in for this thing
Danny - thanks for your review of the new eeros. Quick question - can I use the eeros downstream of my Verizon Fios G3100 router to enhance my network?
So do I still need a modem or the eero 6 plus counts as modem and router??? My house is one story 1600 sq ft plus 650sq ft in garage. Do i need all 3 or can i just buy 2?
It’s always better to get the new one IMO. The Pro 6E is great if you have speeds above 1 GIG and need the power to connect up to 100 devices with Tri Band. Maybe grab the Dual Band 6+ if you don’t need all that.
Am I missing something, I have Gig internet service. I am using eero pro, which tops at 250mbs on WiFi, I average 200-250 mbs with it. I recently purchased the Asus XD5, with rated higher WiFi speeds. I average 350-400 mbs even with my Gig service. If I purchase the eero pro 6+, I assume my speeds will still be 350-400mbs?? Any help would be great
Tons of variables with WIFI. Always test the hardwired speed first. What do you get when you plug your test device into the network port of the router?
I got the eero pro 6 for $585 a month go. Thinking about returning and just saving the money and getting the new eero 6+, what do you think? Right now I have gigabit speeds from Altice one along with about 40 devices connected on my network. Should I go for the 6+ or pro 6e? Should I just keep the pro 6? I don’t even think any of my devices are Wi-Fi 6e compatible.
Needs a version that includes z-wave. No point trying to be an all in one solution if it's only 'most in one'. Routers should all have at least one 10Gbe ethernet port, 2.5gb and 5gb are pointless when 10gbe exists.
Can anyone help doing so much research and need some help I need to buy a new router I live in a two story house about 2500 square feet I got two gamers in the house got about 20-25 devices to connect to wifi looking for help on a recommendation on a router to pickup
I want to know how far away your tests were from the wired eero. and how far away the test was from the wireless eero. I don't have much faith in the lesser 6+ units.
Anyone using this with Apple HomeKit devices with no issues? I'm currently using a Velop mesh router with HomeKit. I know these latest eero 6E don't have HomeKit built-in. So, as a mesh router without HomeKit integration, any issues with HomeKit devices connecting/disconnecting as a result?
@@dannywinget I do have it on my Eero Pro, but it was not there at launch. I can’t find anything about the new versions being compatible and was wondering if you could verify. Thanks for the content and response 👍
I get that and that’s cool but this isn’t a review. This is a feature overview. Not offended at all. I can tell you I am still using it. It’s not perfect but it has been solid.
who the hell needs light bulbs controllable with a smart phone? that crap is so stupid. normal people are worried about affording shit at the grocery store.

Hm wonder how 6e + 6pro device would integrate together? 🤔

Have you tried Orbi's axe11000? Curious how it compares.
can you link these eero's together via a Cat 7 cable?
This fellow is the best I've seen yet!
Family Controls being stuck behind a monthly fee is horrible
I hear ya. It is very robust but I do wish that was included without the $2.99 monthly fee
@@dannywinget $9.99 now
Do some googling and you can do all of this much better for free.

I am glad it helped! It’s been great so far so I think you will like it.

What devices are you checking the speeds on?
You don't know how good you've got it with 1gig speeds.... I get 35 mbps at most from ISP no fibre infrastructure at all.
1st 13seconds what I heard was " Amazon told me to say this"

Good video. Does this replace your existing router? I have an integrated modem/router combo.

I'm going to get 2gb fiber optic, should Eero Pro 6e be better?
Can you use the VPN on mobile devices? What are the limitations (e.g. number of devices, etc)?

Thanks, very informative. I have Tmobile 5g home internet , so I just plug in one to the tmobile tower?
do i have to pay anything a month for it?
Are you able to connect google homes with this network?
I have Verizon i gig ISP, do I need to do anything special to make this work. What if I have FIOS TV!
Does this work with fiber optic?
I have a lot of questions… how this things works, without a modem or need to connect a modem, I can use just one eero 6E pro instead two or three
Can we wire all hubs ?
Would these work with a 4g lte router. So I can extend this routers range?

2. U need a modem
Been thinking about Eero. Waiting to see if Google ever updates their hardware
I just purchased the Eero Pro 6 3-pack 2 hours ago! Should I take it back and get the Pro 6E instead? I have a 1 GB AT&T internet connection.

I got one 6+ during an amazon promo for 90 bucks, I wish I'd ordered two because the price jumped back up by the time it was delivered.
Get three for 200
On Amazon right now
Great video. What modem do you use,
Is there anyway to use eero 6+ as hub but link it with google assistant instead of alexa?
Is it portable
Well.. not sure bout this, got the same speed from
My Att gateway modem/router. 🤔
Extremely helpful video. Thanks so much!
Sucks I just got the Pro 6 like 6 months ago. And now AT&T offers 2.5 gbs speeds. So sad
Can I have two Wired connected?
Buy unmanaged switches. This extends the amount of wired ports you can get. You only get one port on the eero.
Danny I greet you...I really interested in all your camera comparison
I think you are best in all when it comes to smartphone cameras comparison
Appreciate it! Those will be continuing soon!

6+ = Dual Band WiFi 6
Pro 6E = Tri Band WiFi 6E
So just wait about a year and this model will be half the price.... Cool
Amazon sponsorship had a small part in the delay
Do the new 6e routers work with HomeKit?
I believe Eero 6 devices since last summer support HomeKit.

Waiting for a Ultra camera update first. I thought we would have one by now.

Lol I get 30 ms ping on a wired ethernet connection. DSL sucks.
Bro does it work with xfinity
Not sure why it wouldn’t. ISP shouldn’t matter at all!
yes it does
Why get the 6E version, it’s called future proofing lol 😂
does it have any free services? I don't need subscriptions ..., to block kids or something else...

Yeah for me it's useless for my needs in my setup
Use at least a phone capable of 6e..
The S22 Ultra definitely is.

Well to your point I don’t think anyone is going to worry about WiFi if they can’t buy food. Tech in general won’t be their point of focus.
Actually, I was thinking to buy 4. No need to get up to turn off a light you forgot to do so. So yeah there's a market for them.
My whole house is using hue lights. It actually really nice. Never have to replace a bulb and it’s all automated.
