calling the KS-23 a breaching shotgun in real life is wild considering it can fire flashbangs, rubbers, various standard 8 gauge rounds and GRAPPLING HOOKS

so, the KS-23, as others have pointed out, use anti aircraft gun barrels that were in some way defective
it's chambered in an equivalent 4 gauge shell, with a massive number of shell types, ranging from actual fucking flashbang rounds to tear gas grenade shells, to even slugs that are, quote, "able to destroy the engine block of a car at up to 100 meters"
because the barrel is rifled, the russian military classifies it as a "special carbine." there are variants able to be fitted with rifle grenade launchers, just in case the shells weren't doing enough for you

Well, irl, depending on ammo, KS-23 can be used as vehicle stopper (via engine breaking) as well.
The gravity cube actually reminds me a lot of the bass jumper it seems cool but in reality it’s just a very easy way to get killed You’re like a blimp basically. that’s how easy of a target you are

J, the KS23 is so much more than a “breaching shotgun”. It is a “fuck your shit” gun. The soviets ripped off the barrel from an AA gun and slapped it onto that thing and now its an 8 gauge riot shotgun capable of firing grenades, flash rounds, beanbags, tear gas, slugs the size of a baby’s fist, and fucking grappling hooks!

Heavy is supposed to be the one who reinforces. So it makes more sense than Light having it. As for why Medium lost all its recon abilities. It's probably cause they're already the healing, mobility building and turret guy

I’m glad to see the heavy get a weapon I can enjoy using, sad to see the light not get really any comeuppance, just even more crazy movement options. I’m a little bummed at the defib change as well as no fcar nerf but three meds with defib was always cancer. I really hope they do more 5v5 game modes as relying on two competent other solo players is like wiping my ass with poison ivy and hoping it doesn’t itch. Whereas 5v5 sounds like complete chaos in a more enjoyable way than watching my two light teammates fail to hit a stationary target.

Can't unsee, but honestly thinking its the TF2 shotgun just makes it better in my book
Also, KS-23 being able to takeout walls and floors (maybe even destroy some gadgets faster) from a distance is honestly something i felt like was missing for the heavy (yes rpg exists but thats just for 1 wall or floor on a long cooldown)
I feel like he might get a kick out of HD2. And I’m guessing a lot of people have said the same thing but it’s got GUNS AND DEMOCRACY, what every Texan cherishes

It's cause mediums had 3 big playstyles where the other two classes only had 2 playstyles. The medium had healing, building and scanning. Light has long range sniping and recon, and close range burst damage and stealth. Heavy has Destruction and Shields/fortifications. Now scanning fits more with Light's long range playstyle
