    I appreciate your input, I wish more of the RUclips videos on this matter were as frank / honest as yours. I think that the general RUclips culture on this topic is unrealistic to the position of an average Joe, from a viewpoint of practical financial survival. ;
    London is often glorified in the English-speaking world, with little recourse to practical every day reality, for an average person living there.
    I have been living in London as an EU national for almost 20 years, -
    as a result I could start correcting some detailed facts in your video from my more experienced viewpoint, but I would say that your overarching perception on all topics presented in your video are strikingly accurate in their theme.
    Especially given the fact that you only had one year of real-time experience in London. That’s pretty remarkable. You have grasped realism that many British-born people lack despite living there forever. Good job.

      Many thanks for sharing this! I do feel like the UK is (or was, before Brexit) the number one destination for immigrants, mainly because of the fact that they speak English there. But it doesn't necessarily make it easier to find a job or get the same opportunities as a British person would.
      I can imagine some things may not be a 100% accurate (though I tried to look for governmental websites as sources) so I very much appreaciate if you correct my inaccuracies!

    So, do you think it's better to live in Flemish Belgium compare to London in terms of cost of living, salaries and social life? :D I was thinking to move to UK, but it's pretty hard to find a sponsor even for EU citizens after the Brexit

      Honestly, I think Belgium is a lot better in terms of cost of living, quality of life, and income equality. The healthcare is so much better than healthcare in the UK, not to mention the welfare system. The only thing that is easier in the UK (apart from administration haha) is socializing, I still haven't really managed to make friends with Flemish people even though I've lived in Antwerp for over 2 years 😅

    I’m British and a Londoner, agree with pretty much everything in this video but you did make some mistakes with regards to benefits, universal credit is nationwide and not just Scotland. If I had a choice right now I wouldn’t live in London.

      Ah I see, thanks for letting me know! That's something I found written on the government website but it sounded weird to me already, many articles and documentaries set in England mentioned it. I feel really sorry because London would have been a great city with a vibrant cultural and social scene, lots of things to do, and a lot of cultural diversity. It's sad that it's becoming unliveable for people like you and me who are not super wealthy

      I have experience living in London and Edinburgh, so those are the two cities I can really talk about. Here's my video about Edinburgh/Scotland, if you are interested: ruclips.net/video/GWccUzEo8cs/видео.htmlsi=t-qVWQoJ8wTW4DWb
