Hi, if my memory serves, the larger portion wasn't long at all and then the other portions followed. Maybe 10-12 days. I just kept them in bright indirect light and did not let them dry out. Happy gardening.

What do you do if there are no roots on the basil plate?

The roots normally will grow in time. Always try, never hurts to try.

How long does it take for the plant to grow pineapple?
Will they grow in the climate of Los Angeles, CA.?

Pineapples are a warm weather plant. Southern CA is a great place to grow them. Plant them somewhere warm and bright. In the ground or in containers. Depending upon the variety and how happy the plant is, the average time to fruit from a crown is around two years. I have had fruit in 1 1/2 years and I have had fruit in 3 1/2 years. Thanks for watching.

I have one pineapple plant that was a pineapple. In the years, it has grown one pineapple with each year the pineapple getting bigger and bigger. After this year, it has produced 7 pups. My question is will this plant continue to produce a pineapple? Anyone know?

Pineapples are monocarpic which means the mother plant will produce one fruit and eventually die, but normally the plant will set one or more pups first. 7 pups is great. Each of those 7 pups has the potential to eventually set their own fruit. Great plant.
