I am a huge history buff. History of all kinds. But especially of Henry VIII. This is absolutely the BEST documentary on Hampton Court that I have ever seen!! Well done, and thank you!! 🫶👍👍👍
I've never had the opportunity to visit Hampton Court Palace... this is truly amazing, you've covered so much detail. I feel like I've really paid a visit today... thanks so much!!!👏🏆
I watched a documentary on this last week, Really cool place id like to Visit. are those Tapestries at 31,20 ? curious on how much they cost back then & how much they would be today, if they went up for Auction.
Hampton Court is in deed an amazing example of royal life. This is an excellent video. I will never be able to cross the pond again to see and experience Hampton Court but this sure makes it easier! Thank you
An excellent piece of work. We found Hampton court palace purely by chance about three months after you shot this and were very disappointed that we couldn’t go in. This really helps to show what we missed. Thank you.

Oh geez please make more of these🙏-I doubt very seriously I’ll ever get my Anglophile dream (I’m 92% British) of going to see it on my own. I’ve seen the usual, the outside, and of course, the kitchen on docs and such. Thank you! And the guards are lovely, but you bet your booty they know how to use those weapons 😉. I’d also like to thank whoever for allowing filming❤️
What a truly wonderful video of Hampton Court! I watched every second, only stopping to zoom in on the text that accompanied the paintings. My favourite bit would have to be the foyer of his apartments with the stunning paintings on walls and ceilings. I hope to visit here one day from Australia - but in the meantime I feel like I already have, thanks to your video 👑 thank you
I'm truly blessed by your tour video in the Hampton Palace. I love history and always love to learn and know more about other countries' history. With this, I'm able to see a full tour without physically there, especially due to the pandemic. I hope I can visit there next time. Thank you so much!
You'd think the parents of those two little kids at 5:50 could control them a little more and stop them from potentially damaging those carved wooden figures.
@@missmermaid3131”Telling” them is not a conclusion, should they continue. Stop the offending action, explanation and/or diversion dependent on age. perhaps parenting wasn’t your strong suit. 🙄
I visited London at New Years 2016-17 and spent a great chilly day at Hampton Court. Your video is so nice and I’m seeing things I had missed in person!
Thank you so much for this! It’s like being there. I do wish they would add a statue in the kitchens: the now-extinct turnspit dog. I am sure they were all very good boys and girls and deserve to be remembered.
I believe I heard "Pastime With Good Company" being played in one of the rooms. That's the one song that survives that is known for a fact to have been written by Henry VIII. It is said that he wrote Greensleeves, but that has been doubted and cannot be proven. This is an excellent video! You can hear it in the scenes in the Great Watching Chamber.
Really enjoyable stroll. Nice not to have to put with an often tedious narration too! I went with a friend to Hampton Court Palace decades ago to a Son et Lumiere display that was held in the main courtyard at the front of the Palace. It was amazing. As you were walking around, I was trying to visualize what the rooms looked like when occupied. Difficult to do.
It is said to be very haunted. Probably the most famous ghost is fifth wife Katherine Howard, whose ghost is said to run down a hall, shrieking desperately to beg Henry for mercy.
Awesome palace... many rooms there... marriage with many wives look great too there, like a king Solomon who to beloved by many foreign female, European, Mediterranean, latin American, and many else, don't worry, i'm just dreamer, my kingdom is here perhaps... Commonwealth future must be thinking correctly and kindly, nor about materialities or arrogance, you will be adore but responsibilities are... I send My creation to this world to make this world better again, Adam... Let's dream... The garden looks very very great, those canals too, very very productive here... Lambs, sheeps, cows , goats, chickens, deers, fish to be growing here as well as fruit trees, and vegetable, looks like mini Commonwealth here... The true King must protects his people when they are dying or happy, always beside them, always show the true vision for them...a rule model, like a mirror for them... Awesome... Commonwealth trems, very very correct to celebrate in Windsor castle, very strong castle, just like a mirror for its members, awesome again...🌐🇬🇧👑❤️
I haven't watched this yet but what I have noticed is that there are no documentaries now that don't have a bunch of effing people running around in the background why can't you make documentaries and close the property so that you can make a proper doc. I remember the old days when you would have somebody who would speak and they would be in closed 🎥

This is absolutely the BEST documentary on Hampton Court that I have ever seen!!
Well done, and thank you!! 🫶👍👍👍
36:35 the music playing is called “pastime with good company” and was written by Henry VIII
I would love to go back in time during the Tudor age and experience the life there. Without fear of getting my head cut off 😄

You must try to get there! I’m so fortunate to have been, but I don’t remember seeing everything in this great video. Hampton Court is a lot to see.
At the beginning the music, suspense and tension are palatable , thank you Jerry Bruckheimer 👍 But seriously this is amazing thank you!

I visited the Palace as a schoolboy, back in the 60s, and this brings back a lot of memories that I'd forgotten completely! Brilliant video.
Thanks Carl Grove!
Fantastic tour thank you no commentary and plenty of close shots of exhibits and items of interest ...perfect ..

Great Video, me and the wife visited on a very wet and windy January 2020 loved it, had a great time. Nice to see this video of it in the Summer.
That's awesome, which other royal palaces have you visited?

Haha, cheers bud!

I wonder if the palace is haunted? What an effort it must’ve taken to build and operate the place, especially when the king was in town.
It is actually haunted. I have a book called "Haunted London" and Hampton Court's on it.
It is said to be very haunted. Probably the most famous ghost is fifth wife Katherine Howard, whose ghost is said to run down a hall, shrieking desperately to beg Henry for mercy.
The great hall is also known as the haunted gallery
Thank you from the U.S. I hope to see Hampton Court some day. I don’t see much evidence of Cardinal Wolsey.
Thanks for watching!

Which part of the video shows Wolsey Rooms?, timeline?
Crazy how far we've come. No way would they have had any idea ppl would be walking around filming the place etc now. Sorcery!
Why couldn't he just have kept katherine of aragon there instead of moving her out I think ann boleyn had alot to do with that
How did they build these tartarian architectures.
At 00:40 you can see markings on the door, does anyone know what they stand for?
Graffiti?
Based on the neglectful father in the Piazza, appears children should not be in this environment. Their parents haven't the talent for it.
