the gag is, no matter what you do to your hair, it’s just hair. it’ll grow back. if you get color/bear damage, you can repair, cut it, and start over!! it’s not that serious. i am religious about not straightening or coloring my hair but that’s MY choice with MY hair. people should stop projecting their views onto others. what i do to my hair may not work for the next person. everyone’s different. the important thing is that you’re doing what makes you happy! loved the video!!

Idk why some people get so attached to other people's hair and try to tell them what to do with THEIR hair. A lot of people, specifically naturals, are stuck on the "grow your hair out, no dying, straightening etc" in order for your hair to look beautiful like wtf. At the end of the day, do whatever you want with your hair because it's suppose to express you, not them, not anyone else.

I straightened my hair last month for the first time since being natural! I loved it! I did lots of research on reverting my hair. I definitely wanted a protein treatment, I saw a lot of YTers using Aphogee. I felt like the Aphogee treatments were unnecessary for my hair. SO glad I watched your original video because I was encouraged to try the hair mayo for the first time & no longer felt overwhelmed . The results were amazing!! The hair mayo plus the trim I received had my curls looking better than ever! I used your routine, but adjusted it to fit me. So thank you!! I’m so happy with my results.

These folks need to just leave you alone! Straightening your hair one time does not = heat damage! You know your hair. I don't understand why people always think their negativity will get them anywhere and I'm sorry that you have to deal with ppl like that. Hi Kaice, your hair snapped right back! Girl! I’m staying away from HEAT for now. I got heat damage about 3 years ago from a “professional”. Went to her twice, on the second visit I saw the heat damage when she was done washing my hair and that was my last visit✌🏾. Since then I’ve remained heat free and had to slowly trim away all the damage. Happy to say I’m all curls now! I love your vids, keep them going❤️

I get so annoyed when I watch natural hair videos on RUclips and all I see are negative comments about how their hair looks, or they just nit pick at every single thing they do to their hair. At the end of the day, people are going to do what they want to their hair regardless of who likes it or not. I hate the fact that it Kaice had to address what she’s seeing in the comments. It’s her hair and she clearly knows her hair better than anyone else does. If people don’t like it, don’t watch it.

I just cut my hair really short yesterday and I've been watching videos about hair care and what not, I also straightened it and I straighten my hair 1-3 times a year, so I've been trying to take care of my hair since when it was waist length it was a bit damaged and dry, so thank you for this video, I'll definitely try out your method!!

The front of my hair is sooooo frustrating! I've always wanted it to grow longer so I can cut it into a nice bob. But it's thin and heat damaged from straightening and going to the Dominicans and tight braiding from Africans. I just started deep conditioning this past year and trying to take better care of my hair and I'm having fun learning my hair and getting a regimen down. I get lazy but I like knowing what to do and what works for my hair

Keep up the good hair care videos- we Naturals can get real serious about certain things but I don’t see the big deal if you want to color your hair and straighten it. Everything in moderation- I don’t mind silicones and heat but not all the time. I don’t mind some frizz or if my hair doesn’t get to waist length- that is up to me. I love discovering all the things I can do with my natural hair and you guys on RUclips give us more insight.

Thank you for that info. I did the Silk-press and let it stay in my hair for too long and I washed my hair a few times and I still have a little bit of straightness and I miss my natural curls. Now I currently have just eggs in my hair and in hope it'll bring back my curls *fingers crossed* now I'm about to wash it and tomorrow I'll get the mayonnaise and try it. Thank you. Very helpful! I straightened my hair earlier last month and I wish I had seen this video then. My curls did revert back (thank god) but since then when I wash my hair I still smell heat (if that makes any sense)

I feel like my hair didn’t bounce back as best. Last year I had a scare but after the 2nd wash after straightening my hair with protein treatment it eventually bounced back. This time I think I should’ve started with my clarifying shampoo from Shea moisture, I will try it on the second wash next week

I understand where she’s coming from. If you don’t like what she’s doing with her hair then there’s no need to watch her hair videos. I personally don’t watch her videos as much anymore because I don’t have short, colored natural hair so her videos don’t really align with where I am in my natural hair journey. I’ve bleached, colored, straightened, and cut my hair in the past but now I’m on a growth journey. It’s just hair and if she wants to experiment with it then it’s no big deal. Nasty comments are unnecessary and don’t help anyone. Just keep them to yourself.
