I'm glad they were able to re-write some of the engine work to the CPU to give us more details! I'm hoping they've also worked on making CPU bound tasks to properly use multi-threaded CPUs, instead of being bound to 2 or 4 cores and then throttling..
Agreed buddy. I have an I9 13900K with 64gb DDR5 6000mhz RAM and an RTX4090 and yet the game stutters while having 100+ fps (playing in 4K with everything on 500%). Other recent games work perfect in 4K with some of them going to 150fps and higher. Hopefully FS25 works perfect without stuttering at 100+ fps.
This is one of a handful of things that is the most important to me as well. Games have been doing this for quite a while now and there is really no reason for it not be done properly anymore. It is a great point.
I was reading it up this afternoon and the picture of the riceplanter, together with the close up on the furrows had me saying "Wow" out loud. They're really onto something here, cant wait to enjoy it all in a little less than 2 weeks!
Really looking forward to this. I might get delayed to start playing FS25, since I'm in the middle of a moving process to a new apartment. Thanks for another great video FSG
This is amazing, ive wanted proper ground effects for so long. Dirt is farming, it’s important that it’s simulated as best it can be with everything else. And heck mx vs atv reflex did dirt deformation back in 2009 and nothing has come close since. It’s about time
This looks significantly better than the first preview you showed. I’m still holding some reservations about implements levelling the land until I can really get in there to mess with it but the rest of it looks a lot smoother and better overall. I like the plow furrows as well but I rarely mold board plow and usually use V or combination rippers for plowing but I may have to dabble a bit more in mold board with this deformation.
The physics of Farm Sim have always been my biggest gripe. The unnatural transitions from plant material to ground, branches and trees just vanishing when stump grinding, etc. Mud physics as well.
God, I'm so stonked! Thanks for all the new Info. This will be a gamechanger! Guess I have to start my first modmap in fs25 with this Changes. BEAUTIFUUUL!
Thanks FSG, I didn't think I could get so excited for something like ground deformation! the whole game is looking fantastic. An idea I had as I watched your video was wouldn't it be great if they included snowploughs in game, could be a way of making money in winter months 🤔
Very interesting. Thanks. Builds nicely on the tech details provided at FarmCon that have been hidden behind the curtain since. Very interested to see if the tech advances under the covers mean they can now multiithread and that we can perhaps see some benefit on higher configureed PCs. Also wonder if they have had time to include the upgraded terrain and physics into some proper force feedback. If they havent at least now the very clever modding community might be able to create something.
I was hoping that Giants would give players a HUD color setting as part of the menu, I can't believe this would take much to code. I can see by looking at the speed / RPM circle, the light green is very hard to discern from the gray, it's like someone that creates a white web page with yellow text, very hard to read. I'd also take the fuel bar and split into (3) sections, the top being green, middle orange, and the bottom 3rd red, can't believe this would take much programming either. I'm going to harp on this again, when you exit the game, it should save your player position instead of putting you back at career spawn point. The same with Real time, we should not have to rely on modders to create all these simple mods, there's plenty of other things they could be creating!
i know people dont want a snowrunner experience but it would still be nice if it was an option you can toggle id like to get stuck a bit if using improper tyre setup
Great video FSG and you explained it very clearly and the modders are going,to have a ball with this when they get everything sorted and we might get round wheels, again like when there was different copy’s,off the game one for PC and one for console great work again FSG 👏👏👍👍⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
My big fear is the clockwork laptop won't handle the game. I wonder what the ground deformation will be like when loading bales in the field or having auger wagons and trailers in the field during harvests? Root crop harvesting could be interesting that's for sure.
I think they've been designed to work with the new gen consoles, one of the benefits of the older consoles no longer being suppoerted we get stuff like this
With the latest visuals , ground deformation physics and now confirmed dynamic pastures I may just get my pre order in. Personally think they should have showcased the dynamic pastures and some of the build mode. F22 base game buildings (or lack of) was very disappointing. Feel like they have been pushing the rice (which will be like grapes something new at the start to play with until mods come out) and the NPCs which just look and sound ridiculous. But this is just the foundation and will only improve with player feedback and modders but looking good so far. (Queue the “don’t like it don’t buy it / do it better yourself comments)
Well hopefully from Friday I can preview some of that for you ahead of launch day official Jamie. I have to agree on the NPCs too... not my favorite thing in 25
Well Giants have put done themselves , I have the game + year one pass winging it's way to me and before it lands am feeling justified in the purchase, but will the Volkswagen from the beetroot map be able to go over a bump without breaking your back in 3 places ?..........
The one question I still have about the deformation is can it be turned off in settings? I'm finding myself feeling like I might be one of those players that doesn't really enjoy tractors getting slowed down in the field like that. It looks great, for sure, and maybe it handles differently than I'm imagining, but I just don't know about it. It's one of those things that I'm not super sold on yet.
@@TheFarmSimGuy yeah, that's what I'm thinking. I'd hope then that if it can't be toggled natively, maybe modders can find some way to make it user-selectable, but that might be wishful thinking.
@@BurcoGames Personally I don't see the point in deactivating something we've been waiting for for years... I always hate seeing tractors moving over a plowed field like a matchbox on a flat table...
@@pedromendez6549 my issue with it is in some of the videos I've seen, when you're on a paved road, it'll jostle the tractor around like it's trying to deform the terrain underneath it, which in turn makes the tractor bounce and shake unrealistically which looks kinda bad to me. I know that I'm in the minority of players regarding my opinion, but I just feel like I might not enjoy the feature too much. But maybe I'll prove myself wrong when the game releases.
@@BurcoGames I have also noticed it, but well, they have not yet shown it in its final version, I saw in another video that on one edge the asphalt also sinks in the transition with dirt, but well, it was an old compilation. Giants has been working on this for years, it's not just a three-year thing as many believe (who started this after the release of FS22). A few years ago they said that they were implementing it (I think it was in 2019) but that it was not ready, because they themselves did not like how it was. They also said that they wouldn't integrate it into the game until it was done right, so I'm very calm about this feature, it will be well implemented (probably not 120% polished), but it will be fine... Also, they must implement the physics of the vehicles well, and simulate Gravity, so that it pushes the objects downwards, and would avoid violent jumps towards the sky on some occasions.
