Thank you Chow for candidly sharing her experiences on what it’s like being in the industry and why she chose this career path. Please do respect her opinion, while sharing your own in the comments!~
an entire 24 minute-long video of someone being genuine and sharing insights on multiple issues, which are honestly really inspiring and thought provoking, and all u can say is that chow is lying about not being able to control her looks and she's "trying too hard to be pretty"? why did u even come here in the first place if u aren't going to appreciate the other 23 minutes of her interview? and if ur opinion is so judgmental n superficial and might even hurt someone, u needn't post it, you know. especially not as a reply to the creator's comment who will obviously see it...
@@John_Smith_86 @John Smith but isn't what she claimed true? she's referring to her facial features, her body shape etc that she has no control over. and those features are made pretty by society's standards, which again she has no control over. she says she can't take pride in being labelled pretty because of her features because of that. she isn't referring to her styling, her makeup and clothes which does play a part in her appearance, and these are by her own efforts to make herself look presentable, which isn't the same as trying to look pretty, don't u agree? if not, are ugly people always unpresentable? my issue with ur comment is that u are completely passing the entire video off as "untrue" and that whatever else she have mentioned is "invalid" because of that one minute where she said smth that u may not have agreed with personally and viewed it as ingeniue. and yes, while freedom of speech is granted to everyone, don't u think booing someone after she has uploaded smth personal to her is pretty uncalled for?
I like it how she actually “influence” others by giving genuine recommendations on things that she finds beneficial for others. She actually research it! That’s what a true influencer should be.
Thanks Chow for this honest insight. There’s always different ways you can react to something that didn’t go so well in your life and in her case what happened made her the mature, responsible and hardworking person she is. I’ve always admired Chow for her maturity and intellect at such a young age and now I can see where it stems from. She is a great role model. Thanks to Leah also for asking the tough questions that people wanna know answers to but are too afraid to ask.
Chow grew up so fast because of the moment she had at 9. Everything happens for a reason and I believe Chow is in control of her life and more financially matured compared to her peers. Happy for you, Chow!
Chow is probably my favourite TSL talent because she is so, natural. What she said about her natural self and her ethos is what I like about her. I do wish her the best in her endeavours and hope her growth continues. Best of luck Chow. You have a big fan here in Australia.
thank u for this video!! i didn't really have any particular opinion of chow before, but after this video, she really left a deep impression on me! i really appreciate hearing her opinions on sensitive issues and i really like how she viewed certain things in certain ways. it is really inspiring to me, and i really really learnt a lot of things. ure so cool!!
I rmemeber them both featured in the cny episode where they need to pick out cheongsam. I tink chow looks great then and even now. She's one of those eloquent ones in tsl
I agree that "influencer" jobs are superficial, and perpetuate/encourage superficiality. I dont fault these people for capitalising on that opportunity, but I think transparency is impt when advertising for something. Influencers often dont state explicitly in their posts that they are advertising for the product they "use" or "eat" including Chow which imo is not very ethical.
Hi I don't think what Leah mentioned is fair, tt ppl said Chow got opportunities more because of her looks. I find Chow elegant, eloquent and confident with poise. As a fellow female I am inspired to be more like that. Vs the typical influencers who give off ah lian vibes . I don't feel Chow fits TSL in the long term. Hosting shows in mainstream media and documentaries would suit her better.
@@accountantthe3394 You're absolutely right about it being a problem (maybe not extreme enough to be a disorder but hey don't quote me I ain't a doctor)! I realised how big a problem this was for me when I became excessive in my saving habits, so I wouldn't encourage anyone to take such extremes. And I definitely had been working on overcoming this issue of mine since I discovered it. Baby steps!
@@chowanmushi glad that you are very open about your struggles and not hiding it. My family had financial struggle too but it only happened when I was in Uni, so it must have been a lot more tougher for you since you had to deal with that insecurities since you were so much younger. But glad that you can say "no" to the producers for things that you don't want to do now, whether it was those food challenge or advertisements :) and no more Joshua Kim lol
watching this gave me a new insight about influencers that i hadn't saw in this way before power brokers who wield and assist the flow of power on the internet. hm. very interesting vocation to have
I was also just downloaded tiktok as an app only. Then I saw those people on live and making money 💰. So I started to do more tiktok and even created a discord for my tiktok viewers. And my parents said I can't earn money from tiktok. But I proof them wrong. I started earning money on tiktok and I gave them more money and even their birthday I buy them new phone and expensive stuffs because birthday is once a year thing. And is for my parents 😀
