  • As a young woman, I made one of the biggest mistakes of my life. I got breast implants. It was a horrendous journey of pain, confusion, and auto-immune disease. My body image was full of self-loathing. I pray you will watch this video and potentially spare yourself or someone you love from having to walk through the same nightmare that I experienced.

      As cancer survivor of double mastectomy and partial lymph node removal, so I understand your pain. I chose not to have reconstruction, & am grateful I made that choice. I have friends who did have reconstruction & hate it. I don't use prosthesis either because of Lymphoedema & wear a compression vest & arm compression sleeve. I am grateful for every day & am thrilled you have healed properly. It reminds me of the history of European desires to show off their imported pineapples purchased at a price of $11,000.00 to impress guests & didn't even eat them. So they rotted. God made us in his image, & he loves us just the way we are. As Momma always asked, "Is your heart compassionate & loving? Then you are beautiful in God's eyes".

      It's just unfortunate and inexplicable that god, with all his power and omniscience, would not have somehow reached you with the message to not get the implants in the first place. The only possible "reason" (according to the classic "god myth" version of reality) is that allowing you to suffer like that was part of his "plan". He certainly works in mysterious ways, doesn't he? Oh well, at least he "loved you enough" to bring you the woman who gave you the critical info regarding the implants before it was too late!

    My husband is a dentist and I had no idea until I just asked him....He said "yes", he requires patients with implants to take antibiotics before dental procedures. I just learned something new! There is a checklist in my husband's practice that his staff asks all patients before their appointment. I guess not every dentist does that. I am 68 and I refuse to use Botox which most of my friends do. That too is a toxin...pure poison being injected into your body. I am surprised you are willing to do that to yourself. Hopefully California (if the locale of your surgery) has a "plain language in consumer contracts" law (such as New Jersey has had since 1986) that puts a liability burden on the writer of the contract to make plain to any average lay reader (not knowledgeable in the professional provider's art or science) any and all key, material provisions. In New Jersey any plaintiff winning a civil action based on such a cryptic contract gets statutory triple damages.

    • @JudgeJulieLit
      @JudgeJulieLit 3 года назад +5

      Sounds like a broad pattern of gross medical malpractice, past, ongoing and future. For starters a victim might file a complaint with the state medical licensing board towards revoking a malpractitioner's license, if removal of the capsules is the minimum "standard of care" required of a plastic surgeon at removal of breast implants, in the medical profession and/or the law of the state where the surgery was done. And then start (or join) a class action lawsuit to sue for compensatory consequential damages to your physical and emotional health. The period of time one can sue (the "statute of limitations") may in this type of case possibly be extended to start tolling from the time one discovered the damage done by a prior medical malpractice.

    Oh my goodness. I just had my implants taken out February 11, 2021. I had the popular Mentor saline implants. All implants are toxic because the outer shell is made of silicone and has 40 different toxic chemicals. I had 700 cc’s on each side and I had them for 19 years. I can’t believe I carried 4 pounds of fluid on my chest for so long. I had about 40 of the 60 breast implant illness symptoms. I can’t believe how much better I feel. I went to world renowned Dr in Florida who specializes in explanting. He refuses to do augmentations as he’s seen so many women deathly sick and has seen the benefits of having them removed. He removes the entire capsule that forms around the implant. If these are left behind you will never heal. Thank you for sharing your journey, Chynna. It doesn’t mean we don’t break down when we relive what happened to us. I have a scar on my knee. I healed from the injury. But I still have that scar that reminds me of that event every time I look at it. And when I hit it, it hurts like heck! What do you think happens when a woman who lost a baby thinks about the child that would be 27 now? She cries. It doesn’t mean she hasn’t healed. It means she’s scarred. Still have silicone implants from the 80's. Mine are also "hard as a rock". Was never given care instructions or told they have an expiration date (read somewhere that they do/did). I can't afford the surgery to have them removed so I'm stuck with them. I tell myself that surgery is a scary risk anyway, so I live with the discomfort and symptoms. Thanks for sharing your story Chynna. I hope it will keep other young ladies from making the same mistake we did.

      It sounds like she had a capsular contracture. The body walls off breast implants in everyone and this tissue can grow and contract like a muscle and then it doesn’t release. I guess bacteria in the blood can make this happen (never heard of that though) Doctors absolutely used to pop the capsules with their hands I knew a lady that had only one . She said it was horribly painful and this is precisely why I didn’t get them. I almost did but her story about this contracture thing freaked me out.
