@@brooklyna007 I don't think they. ever expected to get paid back or they would not keep lending us money. Which, buy the way, does not come in the form of money, but of Chinese goods. It is international economics, and I won't say that I understand it, but the Chinese must be getting something out of it.
@@milascave2 They still get paid interest every year. The US pays off old debts it is just that new debts are made. Chinese investors are fine buying US debt because they have always gotten paid back on schedule.
@@brooklyna007 not to mention the vast majority of our debt is owed to ourselves, which has always been paid as well. They can only fear monger about our debt because people fundamentally don’t understand how government spending actually functions. People just see a big number, translate that to what they know in their own households and assume it’s the same.

This is one of the best ever. I have watched it like 20 times. It is so good. EVERY one of them have an equal share and all of rhem are wonderful. So Creative and so well done guys.

LOL. . . This has to go down as one of the funniest sketches i have seen on tv. I've shown it to alot of my asian friends and they all pretty much react the same way as i did, laugh so hard we all watched it repeatedly for the second and third time. Who cares if there is no asian actors. It a comedy sketch the objective is humour and they delivered it freaken beautifully. Humour is rare in the world these days so take it for what it is and enjoy it man. : )

1) The guy playing Chinese president is not asain and thats rac|ssss.
2) The translator is not asian and that's rac|ssss.
3) China owns most media in the US now days.

Fun fact: as a Chinese I can see almost every episode of SNL on line in China except this one only. I have to use VPN to see this, which means most Chinese can not see this. But I do wish our president have see this since this is so brilliant and funny.

The translator girl is amazing. She is playing so well the role of a Chinese. Both her atitude and accent are on spot. Westerners saddly are too concerned about crap like races, to recognize and apreciate true talent anymore.

I saw this sketch with Bill hader, and as much as talented he is he didn't come close to performing as great as Will Forte. What he does with a character is so unique and magnificent. And of course Nasim and Fred are brilliant as always. This skit is so underrated. I absolutely love it. 😂

Also this is the rarest sketches in which the actor made an attempt to make the accent sound as close as what the actual language sounds like.

His mother was Scottish, I think, and his old man was Chinese, so there is that reason for the surname, I guess, but that's about the sum of it.
I can't recall any Asian comedians on SNL, but I doubt that's for some sort of prejudice. SNL is pretty damned pregressive as far as TV programs go. Come to think of it, the only Asian I can think of on a skit show is Bobby Lee and he was on Mad TV, not SNL.
