      One of the things (out of others) that mba school will evaluate is academics. Here, IITians and NITians would get an edge over other colleges. But other colleges can compensate by doing well in other parameters like leadership, diversity etc.

      @InsiderGyaan  4 года назад

      @@mridul7639 hopefully your performance in bachelors will be compensated by your other grades. Multiple attempts in CA - is that not normal, or do people always go through in single attempt? In any case, I don't think it is a big deal, because you have cleared it in the end. All the other things, if you think of them as setbacks, it will continue to hold it back. I think a better approach is to contemplate all that you might have learnt from that phase. Did you do anything meaningful during your gap year? If it is due to illness it is very understandable. But if not, were you trying to do something during that time? Basically, as long as you justify those introspecting thoughts in your application story, you will be good. Also, rather than focusing on if these will hold you back, you should think of your future goals and why you want to do an MBA. That's what matters. ISB will not dwell in your past as much as your future ambitions.

      Hi Mayank - thanks for your comment. Are you planning to apply to ISB this year and if so which round?

      Got it. Your profile looks okay. It all depends on if you are able to showcase the skills (eg when running the family business) in ur essays plus a solid story why ab MBA from ISB will help you.

      Insider Gyaan Perfect. Noted. I will work on it. Thank you so much 😊 I have got a few recommendations asking me to wait another year before applying, using this time to improve my overall application and possibly improve my Gmat score by 30-40 points. Would you recommend the same?

      @@mayankk5044 that will definitely make your case stronger. Having said that, you can apply now too but will have to write ur essays solid...
