Thanks for lovely experience. It Is informative and useful. I need one advise that I have 15 yr ex of PSU bank and I am at senior man grade want to do ex MBA. Pl guide.
Consulting is difficult to join and once you get used to the work and challenges then very difficult to leave. Every project is a roller coaster which scares you in the beginning and give you a huge sigh of relief and a sense of achievement when it's over.
Majority do leave within first 2 years though 😁
You are having a clarity what you want and what you don't that is a great quality.
Shows how clarity comes with time, Very helpful. May God give me clarity and focus in life.

Lol, this lady says her future was in India so she didn't really want that job in Switzerland. She has worked with Deloitte after her MBA in the US and Hong Kong and then went on to work with Mastercard and Shoppee in Singapore. She is in Singapore currently. What a liar....just hate watching such hypocrites, trying to earn money from innocent audience by putting click bait titles on youtube. Switching off here...

Great to know about the process of ISB. Can you answer me few questions. It will be a great help. Do they train students for the resume writing, GDs and interviews? Also, do they give career counselling? Just like it is done in tier 2 and tier 3.
No. Hoping those who get into ISB don’t need training on these things :) but one can reach out to alum network to get feedback

Hello, It was once my dream to get into premier B-schools but never knew how to crack the entrance exams like CAT,GMAT etc...now I am 38 years....I joined IMS coaching center when I was 23 years old but could never understand math, English classes....problem was not with my understanding level but the teachers who did not teach properly....it was too commercial....anyways sapna sapna hi rehe gaya....

@@InsiderGyaan Thanks for your concern... but I witnessed that majority ppl in IIMs ISB are from IITs or some premier institute...it is true that first preference is given to you people since you have high levels of caliber and potential...anyways it's an old story now....my world is very different from yours in terms of job prospects etc...I wish I could tell you more but....

There is org behavior. It's usually a combined placement for all specializations

Hello Maam. I am an engineer having 3.5 years of experience in a manufacturing company. Then I left my job of to prepare for UPSC. But I could not clear the exam. I have a gap of 1.5 years. Now I want to pursue MBA from ISB. Will this gap year be an disadvantage for my admission in ISB?

IIMs also get diploma. You can ask your GMAT questions to ISB. I am thr wrong person to ask!

Hi, I had to request if possible, could you guys please make a video on how can a Non Engineering/Commerce Graduate get into Consulting, Investment Banking, Portfolio's, etc? What are the options? Preferred professional qualifications, how to start off early sort of advices. I'm sure this is a center of doubt for many of IB aspirants out there, would be really great! :)
Investment banking is hard-core finance. U need some background of commerse nd capitals market . Or else at least high level of maths graduate. For arts students it's very difficult

You talk in high regard about 'General Management' companies. Do you have any videos on what sort of work is there in such companies? And why is it that these are preferred?
General management is general people / project mgmt and could vary based on which function you are handling. Eg in Sales you could be managing a group of sales reps to drive revenue; in strategy you could be managing various proects to ensure they meet timelines etc.

Yes they do...initial years peomotions are mostly structured..after VP it gets more performance driven

What is the role of consulting in future? What part technology will play in consulting? As bots & ML AI taking over.. what chances of intervention does these technologies possess in Management Consulting?
Consulting will stay. But kind of projects may update. Tech AI ML already playing a huge role. A lot of strategy work folllowed by implementation of the solutions. And more strategy firms are and will integrate with execution work. That's my feeling :)
hi ,i came from a hospitality background and my marks are 60% - 65% in 10&12 , can i get add with 2+ years of exp with respect of valid gmat score ?
Just answer me one thing, If at that day your future you would have met yourself would you tell her to accept consulting role or any other roles (finance or GM)..

Can you please suggest a good quality case study book, which may help in understanding how to approach a case study.. and although it may get a bit technical for the general public still please make a video on what is your structure/idea of handling a Case. Will help a lot and many.

CSE and MnC branches at IIT are getting better placements of more than 1 Cr package. Then why students go for MBA at ISB Or IIM?
I am sure whoever us getting 1 cr packages are not going for mba.
Because - different people have different skills they're comfortable in. Not everyone is cut out to be some kick-ass engineer who's the best of the best.
Unless you're at the top of the game - you won't get a 1 Cr package. Businesses don't run on charity,y'know.
Money is not everything at the end of the day.
I'm working in the IT sector earning a decent amount but I'd happily take a pay cut to get into Product Management. The soul crushing job of IT is just not meant for me. I now feel, I was never meant to become an Engineer - even though I love Engineering and my fundamentals are okay ,but routine Software Engineering is not something I can do day in and day out.

Yes good enough but you will need to speak about the impact of your work in essays. Shortlisting is done based on impact
