I have seen how people complaining often that the Nintendo Switch is already an 7-year-old console, which many people think is "too long for a game console" and hope that Nindeto would renew its console as frequently as its competitors. And yet the Switch still dominates the market better than the Xbox Series X, PS5 or even the Steam Deck which was supposed to be the "Switch killer. The fact that it's closing off it's final years with a stellar line-up still, is quite impressive. It speaks to the overall success of the hardware. Cheers!
The biggest problem with the gaming industry is that graphics are way too powerful, making games take way too long to make and are way too expensive to make, which is even worse because almost all Sony and Microsoft franchises go for a realistic art style. Nintendo on the other hand all their franchises have either a cartoony art style or an anime art style so Nintendo doesn't need that much power
Graphics are not everything. AAA gaming is getting more and more expensive. And given the cost and time, it can lead to a lot less innovation. Cheers, thanks for watching!

“Emulate” is a very soft way to say pirate. After playing PS4 and almost buy a PS5, as soon as I saw Tears of the Kingdom and Super Mario Odyssey, I said bye Sony and Nintendo is the only one I keep coming back to, the Switch is simply unstoppable and is the best console on the market with the best games and exclusives, plus Nintendo understands what matters to making a game great along with realising years ago that graphics fidelity is pointless and combining their home and portable gaming divisions was a master stroke of genius and innovation.
Looking at the switch 2 leaks where it looks the exact same model wise to the oled, so my guess is that they are gonna jack up the specs which if they fix online might make it a perfect console?
I was ironically playing my switch while listening to this play it more then my other consoles its just more convenient to play games on what it lacks in tech it makes up for in unique gaming experiences
I agree 100%, everything sain in this video is pin point accurate and Nintendo is not done as thetes still a September direct. Also I think its crazy that Animal crossing new horizons a 4 year old game is the highest selling game in Japan as it outsold over 28 years of Pokémon games
The numbers Animal Crossing and Splatoon put up are insane! And a September Direct?! *EXCITEMENT INTENSIFIES* - Maybe we finally see those Windwaker and Twilight Princess ports that have been rumored about for years now. Still want to see Metroid Prime 2 and 3 Remastered as well!
Great video man. I know some people have been saying because of the success the Switch has had they will continue releasing games even after the Switch successor like the 3DS but I’m a bit skeptical because I think Nintendo did that due to the fact they were weren’t sure how successful the Switch would be. When the 3DS released Nintendo only made like three more games for the DS after that and the DS sold around 154 million units.
It's definitely a delicate challenge to work around. You want to sell games (see how/why Sony supported many newer 1st party games on both PS5 and PS4) so you need a large install base... At the same time, how do you incentivize people to jump over to the new system? Exclusives. Backwards compatibility with the previous generation (the switch) will help make that jump easier, but you definitely need to the games to make them want to jump in the first place. I think, if the Super Switch (Switch 2 😂) comes in at a similar price as the OG Switch, that will help a ton as well. Glad you enjoyed the video! Thanks for the kind words and view!
To add to your profits argument, note that yen was devaluated from 2021 to 2024, losing 50% of its value compared to the US dollar. Therefore in yens, Nintendo recent profits are actually even more impressive than what was shown on your USD graph.
Iwata was Ceo like no other, a game programmer that inspires others and, most importantly, to everyone and to himself. He is a Gamer. It's shocking how his quotes still hold weight years upon years after his passing, and he passed away almost a full decade now.
It's a great point! As a indie developer that's published a game on the Switch, I will add the back-end at Nintendo is relatively easy to work with... PlayStation's back-end and dev support was a giant pain, so we ended up just skipping it, and only launching on Nintendo and Steam.
Great topic, video, & enthusiasm... tho... Would you kindly turn down the intro-music volume a couple notches, please? I jumped, & your talking points are @ a perfect volume... Keep Fan Boying, cuz we will too.
It’s because when they combined the Wii U and Nintendo 3DS plus perfected HD gaming and portable gaming they finally had a turnaround. Everybody’s interested these days in PC gaming and of course if you play PlayStation five and Xbox, you can only play at home and can’t take it with you and that limits mobility. So Switch has the advantage.
At the time of the Switch's release, the gimmick of a handheld console being able to play xbox360/ps3 home console quality games like BOTW, Mario kart 8, and Odyssey really carried the system. Nowadays, that same gimmick isn't nearly as powerful for moving consoles, but they gave the console such a deep and diverse library of first party games that the console successfully grew out of the gimmick and remained successful despite competition from the Steam deck.
To be fair it's not a console. It's a handheld that you can play on a TV. Much like you could do with the psp. That being said they have some of the best ips this gen.
Ok at first I thought that it was random, but I think my isp is blocking videos that have to do with Nintendo! “How to mod my 3ds” video lagging like sh!t, this video buffering, “best Nintendo switch games” doesn’t even start playing. And no it’s not my internet I have gigabit download
Nintendo does what saddly Sony and Microsoft aren't... They focus on making fun games. But to be honest I'd like a much more powerful Nintendo Console, every time I play my Switch I hear the fan with the fear that my console will overheat...
Everyone thinks a new switch is coming out but this is nintendo. I expect a portable and big screen console but don't be shocked if they add a new fun gimmick.
@@Sagegabs Same. Most Playstation games are fun to play through. With Stellar Blade being my personal favorite right now. However, I like that game for its fun gameplay. Not for the higher end graphics.

Nintendo is gradually getting more powerful, they are not in a rush for graphics, as the saying goes, slow and steady wins the race, or does it. I enjoy my Nintendo, doom 64.
I’d argue that those are strictly not gaming properties. A browser is an all-in-one-machine thing, themes are completely unnecessary, and graphics don’t make games more fun. In fact, two of those are the main reason the Wii U was so pitifully slow. I want to be able to switch between games in under 5 seconds, which I can’t do with any other console.
switch is 100% a portable handheld not a console never will be & no its not the greatest console ever i still think PS VITA far way better than switch. Japanese Sony PlayStation 5 is the only true real console left & at least Sony is trying their hardest to be a fun console to play on with real amazing different Japanese/Asian games 1st 2nd & 3rd parties. xbox never was a console it always was & been a 100% pc in disguise of a console which all xbox consoles use 100% off the shelf pc hardware parts there's nothing console about xbox. but anyway, the GameCube, Wii U, & even PS VITA is far better than switch
DS Lite or 3DS--Nintendo's finest. First party games for the Switch are good but many would argue they're kid's games. To counter that there are many AAA conversion but they're lazy; not optimised for hand-held play (you can't read the text) they need to be played in docked mode where they look inferior to other console versions. You can buy any game from the Nintendo Game Store but it's not curated so anyone can post a junk game; there are so many of these games in the store it is a real chore to find something good. Best in the world? Nah. Best hype? Yeah.
The thing is that Nintendo directly conceive their games to be optimized for their own devices whereas other publishers develop games for more powerful hardwares and don't really have the resources to optimize them. I think they should invest more in those resources as they could sell millions of copies in doing that effort, they are certainly despising Nintendo at their own expense.
I wanted to agree with you, but the Switch underperforms and can't even run its exclusive games on 60 fps Heck, it can barely keep consistent at 30. The only function any console has is to run a game. And the Switch underperforms the one thing it was made for.
A Game Boy screen displayed 23,000 pixels in 4 shades of gray. A 4K screen displays 8.3 million pixels in 16.8 million different colors. That surely makes a difference.

The end result is that we all get worse games. Moral? Don’t pirate games.
It really isn't though...even though I can see why people like it.
@@minecrafter3448most people who emulate also buy they games. Long live yuzu
@@SWOTHDRA not true at all. Most people that PIRATE do so because they can’t be bothered to buy the game legitimately. The original commenter already admitted to it.
How....how ...how in the hell do you not have more subs? That was such a great, entertaining well done video. Bravo.
Greatly appreciated! I'm new is all!
@@LateToGame We'll I'm definitely subbed, can't wait to see what you do in the future.
Agree. The switch is the best. (And yes I have great pc games and a steamdeck.)

I fucking love my switch! it's my favorite console by far! EVER! and I am an old man at this point.
Love the video and appreciate your views!! Subbed!!! Keep up the great work!! :)
Thank you very much!
Boom 💥 🤜 🤛 Agree completely, thanks for watching!
@@LateToGame you’re welcome dude, great video.
💯

Same strategy as Big Tobacco, but less harmful 😂😂😂
The Art of “Ur mom” jokes. 😂
任天堂はこの世代で間違いなくライバルを圧倒した。誰もそれを否定することはできない。
Agreed. Some will try though! 😂
loved the video, for me the switch is the best console ever, it brought me back to gaming and the line up of games is insane
Nice! Glad you're able to game again! And thanks for watching!
All very true. I recently read the book "The Impact of Iwata" and it was amazing. Def recommend it.
i agree, switch ON TOP! i think another point for the switch that you didnt mention was indie games. switch is THE CONSOLE for indie games for sure
It's a great point! As a indie developer that's published a game on the Switch, I will add the back-end at Nintendo is relatively easy to work with... PlayStation's back-end and dev support was a giant pain, so we ended up just skipping it, and only launching on Nintendo and Steam.
I do miss Iwata.
A 3ds in my right hand
A nintendo switch in my left hand
I have everything i need for a heavenly gaming experience
Great topic, video, & enthusiasm... tho... Would you kindly turn down the intro-music volume a couple notches, please? I jumped, & your talking points are @ a perfect volume... Keep Fan Boying, cuz we will too.
I agree, Switch and PC i adore because they make fun ass games
I absolutely hate having to do any downloading whatsoever.
I think Nintendo might use the Switch as a template for all their future projects going forward.😮
4:19 bro we literally only got one
Yes the Gamecube is the best gaming console im glad you agree! 🥰🥰
To be fair it's not a console. It's a handheld that you can play on a TV. Much like you could do with the psp. That being said they have some of the best ips this gen.
its a console
Sorry, but the SNES is the G.O.A.T.
Oh no! I'm sorry to hear that!
THANK YOU!!!
haha, thank you! Glad you enjoyed it! Appreciate you watching!
I think that the switch proves, despite graphics fetishists, that graphics aren't everything and good art design will always trump pure graphics
Three new Metroid games? Dread is the only NEW Metroid game on the Switch the rest are ports.
Great video man even tho you’re late to the game
"It's not always about the hardware power, Spider-Man."
I saddly agree, I like Spider-Man 2 but can't love it just like the firat one...
@@Sagegabs Same. Most Playstation games are fun to play through. With Stellar Blade being my personal favorite right now. However, I like that game for its fun gameplay. Not for the higher end graphics.
The Nintendo Switch would be better if it had more racing simulators and FPS games
You can bet the new Zelda game Will sell 10M+ units, and about 2 more will surpass that 10M mark.
I'm just done with boring repetitive mostly now woke western games. After playing Dark Souls; I realised the quality and fun in games has gone. Hence I'm heading back to Nintendo for FUN
Mario Kart 8 isn’t exclusive to Switch, it’s a Wii U game
Best console ever!
Powered by Nvidia, the best semiconductor designer on the planet 🚀
Just wait until Nintendo has a relatively powerful console too…
Excited about the prospect of DLSS in the next Tegra SoC for the Switch successor. Affordable and efficient quality gains should be expected!
Nintendo is gradually getting more powerful, they are not in a rush for graphics, as the saying goes, slow and steady wins the race, or does it. I enjoy my Nintendo, doom 64.
the only thing Nintendo needs to do is to do Esports that's the reason most buy PS and Xbox nowdays
If you like only Nintendo games, sure
Updated PSVita really.
Loved my PS Vita. Wish it got more 1st party support. Ahead of it's time in many ways.
Sega had the best consoles ever made because the Dreamcast basically pre dated everything that goes on today.
DS hardware was nothing like the N64’s
In terms of the device
Steam Deck is leagues above
The Exclusives carry it
personally i disagree
I hear you, and I def think there is room for improvement. No system is perfect!
Thanks for watching though! Hope you enjoyed!
@@LateToGame i did enjoy the video!
Sounds like points cut and paste from Nintendo hater videos. You forgot to add how Nintendo hates its fans.
@@PinkMicrowaveI love your profile picture :3
The best console with a big waste of potential. Also stick drift and Awitch 2 is coming out soon ? SMH.

I loved my game gear... But .. sadly... My parents battery budget did not 😂

I don't agree.
Great stuff. I stream nintendo games and do content too.
Wii U>
Wii U walked and so Switch could FLY
The steam deck is objectively the best console because you can literally play anything on it and emulate Nintendo games very easily.
You mean steal Nintendo games very easily
Hdmi port
The Wii is better
Love the Wii. Still have one! But I'm definitely getting longer use out of my Switch! Cheers and thanks for watching!
No it definitely isn’t. Take of those nostalgia glasses, I love the Wii but come on, the Switch is far superior.
Wii's dog shit
switch is 100% a portable handheld not a console never will be & no its not the greatest console ever i still think PS VITA far way better than switch.
😂😂😂
All those games u named sucked 😅except for Zelda 😊😊😊
"not everyone has two grand" A Steam Deck is like 50 bucks more than a Switch dude
I wanted to agree with you, but the Switch underperforms and can't even run its exclusive games on 60 fps
Heck, it can barely keep consistent at 30. The only function any console has is to run a game. And the Switch underperforms the one thing it was made for.
60 fps should be a standard 30 is literally unplayable 60fps has been standard on gameboy there's no reason to go backwards.
A Game Boy screen displayed 23,000 pixels in 4 shades of gray. A 4K screen displays 8.3 million pixels in 16.8 million different colors. That surely makes a difference.
All Nintendo games look and play badly. Only thing that would "push" me to their products is to catch up to at least current games standard.
1. Thank you for watching and 2. I disagree, but you play where you want to play! Grazie again!
Nah. Had one. Sold it. This is a poor generation. Mario Kart probably the best reason to own it.
1. Appreciate you watching 2. I would disagree, you might be in the outlier group, but you do you friend!
You didn’t explore all of what it had to offer, but you’re clearly one of those graphics obsessed people to reach their own for me. I feel that way about the PlayStation. There was nothing on it that Me outside of red dead redemption 2 and I’m not gonna get a PlayStation just for red dead redemption 2z
@@Adamtendo_player_1 Not graphics obsessed, but just not into the style of games I got to play. I prefer Tomb Raider to Mario. The Last of Us to Zelda.

@@LateToGame I didn’t watch but I gave you engagement at least 😂. Still objectively wrong. I’d argue 3ds is better than switch even if we’re talking Nintendo. Switch is a lifeless console
