Fix the area and help out the forgotten
The lithium demonstration plant was built over 10 years ago and the highest purity lithium carbonate in the world was produced there already. A production-scale geothermal plant that will encompass a lithium extraction facility is starting construction but I will let the owners of that beautiful plant chat about it. It has nothing to do with the Salton Sea itself, but rather the lithium salts are extracted from the geothermal brine in the area. There will be other plants built over time as we now have the extraction technology.
Maybe thats why they are letting the salton sea die
The thermal concept must help heat up the globe
Might heat locally, not enough geo thermal to heat farther away.
What about the Health for the people in the area
Garcia and his gan they don't care about the people they only thinking on $$$$$$$
Can't make it worse...
All I know is make it happen!!!👍
What happened to all the money gov brown raised to pipe in ocean water to fill the salten sea ? That sits directly on the San Andreas fault”
Pathetic and corrupt. Lets strip line toxic materials here
Better than leaving wind-blown heavy metal sand to pollute the rest of the desert. Remove and recycle it.
Fix the Salton sea send water to it fill up you got the water there
Ain't no water in the West left to send.
Yes please, mine more Lithium! Geothermal plant could bring electricity to San Diego. Bring jobs to this dead region.
Not possible. see other comments as to why.
I live at the salton sea. By the water it reeks of rotten eggs. Mud everywhere. Theres also a shit ton of wind, strong wind. Right now as I'm typing theres a wind storm outside. I dont think they'll go through with their promise to extract the lithium. Nor do I see a hope for tge salton seas future. Just inevitable doom.
Damn… I mean ngl GM put in $500M into R&D there, and tbh it IS the second biggest geothermal brine area other than North Cali.
How’s the air and shit there? I wanna buy land there, but if you guys are gonna die off in 5 years idk.
@@trapOrdoom Worst investment you can make, nobody will buy it off you when you are tired of baking to death there. . You have to truck in your own water; expensive!
You would be dead before real estate picks up there again.
You are Dreaming
