    Installing a MicroAir easy start allows you to run your RV, Camper Van, or trailer air conditioning with a small inverter-generator. This video illustrates how quick and easy the installation was on our recently converted sprinter camper van. The micro-air easystart was installed onto our Coleman Mach 10 NDQ model, but installation is almost identical for the Coleman Mach 1, 3, 3+, 10 and 15.
    With the Easy Start, we can now use our air conditioner full time by running our small, super portable Cummings Onan 2500w generator. The generator is no longer put into protection or overload mode by the compressor in the ac unit kicking on. This is great news for Zoey and Scout! Now we have a little peace of mind knowing that if we get caught somewhere warm, the puppers will be comfortable!

    I saw another comment you made that you can run the AC for 12 hours off the battery bank. How big is the battery bank, how well does the AC keep the van cool in hot climates? I'm debating 120v vs 12v AC units but the price and cooling power of the 12v has me second guessing that option.

    let us know when that micro air fails from bouncing around unsecure, instructions clearly state where to mount the unit

      This thing has been through the ringer over miles and miles of washboard dirt roads hahahaha! I'd agree with you, but I'm sitting outside Joshua tree right now enjoying the A/C as its 92 degrees outside 🤣👍🏼👍🏼

    Where will you put the generator? Just curious because if it’s outside and not secure can’t someone steal it? Love your van!

    • @JakeandHeather

      Thank you! It’s in the rear rack with the dirt bike. One of those crazy thick chains wrapped around it and to the dirt bike should keep it there 🙃

    It looks like you ride a mountain bike. Do you have a garage in the back to hold bikes?

    • @JakeandHeather

      We keep the bikes on the back of van with the dirt bike. Did make sure bed was tall enough to fit them, but decided to use as garage space for inflatable paddle boards and such

    What is your experience running the AC just on batteries? Is it enough for a length of time? Do you have enough solar to keep up or recharge?

    • @JakeandHeather
      @JakeandHeather  4 года назад

      Anders Nilbrink we can run a/c for up to 12 hours straight, but would completely drain our battery bank. But if used for a few hours here and there for the pups, between the solar and alternator it handles it fine. But for extended use the generator is needed
