This song reminds me a lot of my brother. His fiancée passed away at 30 years old, just months before their wedding date. When he found out she was in the hospital he rushed there to find out that the likelihood of her making it and returning to her normal self was less then 1%. She passed away the next night and my brother was devastated... I felt so bad for my brother. Such a bright future was taken away. People die. Their bodies are gones. But their memories live on even when they are gone. This MV really touched me because I see resemblances of this MV compared to my brother. Even if you don't like what happened, you must except it, cherish those fond memories you had, and move on.
It's really sad to think of it even now. But what can you do? You can't go back in time and change what happened. All you can do is pick up the pieces of your heart that broke into a million pieces and try to piece it back together. Sadly, not every piece will be there and you just have to move on. Lay is just cherishing old memories instead of crying which is what everyone should slowly learn to do after their loved one's passing. Even though it hurts and you're still missing them..

민한슬 there was nothing about a pet in the music video, but that might be a possibility. i feel like it's a really important part of the story because it's one of the only times where he didn't quite look happy in the mv. and it might actually pull a coherent plot instead of a vague explanation of the events happening in the mv. 2 years later, and we still don't know who really died and how they died.

But at the end he met or dated his grilfriend in grave that he still love and still miss. Whilst Taeyong got bad news about her girlfriend that she died and Taeyong weren't able to say "missing you" because time is over through the methapor explanation (a bloody note) as the lyrics "every day every night im missing you". fyi: they miss each other maybe.... they're long distance relationship so, before they met. The girl had died. (taeyong version) and they miss each other because they were in different place world and grave (lay version).

When Lay was young(which is Taeyong) he lost his precious one and he was really hurt that he ran to hospital and try to open the closed operation room. But few years later he finally became quiet well that he can smile with those memories. I know it's really hard to change heartbreaking memories into lovely one. Lay really expresses this emotion well.

Taeyong is rushing to the hospital because Lay is in the operating room (dying from some sort of accident) and that's why Taeyong is so sad. Lay goes to his own little room (I honestly don't know what it is called, but judging from the cross and the whole 'missing you' thing I assume its a memorial of some sort for someone who dies) and brings himself the cake. The note that says 'missing you' is for Taeyong and the notes that Lay gets throughout the mv are Taeyongs thoughts toward him (cuz idk what the notes say, I don't know korean).
