One of the three species of extinct Great Western ten wheelers is now officially resurrected. Now we just need to wait for the new 6800 class 6880 Betton Grange and the replica 1000 class 1014 County of Glamorgan to be completed.
Excellent video shots of the new GWR Saint Class in her first launch action at Didcot mate 👍👏😉 I'm planning to see the Saint in action on Easter Friday in two weeks time and I'm looking forward for it.
No, she's a re-creation of a Churchward 2900 'Saint' class, One batch of which were named after 'ladies' 2901 Lady Superior being the first. On a demonstration run in 1906, 2903 Lady of Lyons allegedly reached a speed of 120mph.

Wonderful achievement. The carriage restorations are worthy of note too. Will have to plan a trip from Seattle!
Absolutely, they have some very beautiful carriages at Didcot, you'll like them
jules46443 the carriages used to work main line specials in the 1970s I seem to remember

Wonder if she’ll run on the mainline
What an elegant lady she is! She does have an odd rhythm though..
I thought the same, they might have to do some configuration to it
Valve timings perhaps? @@jules46443
Yeah that, I couldn't remember at the time of my last comment
Why does it sound like it has three cylinders?
Valve timing wasnt 100% right. Its been played with since though and much better
Is lady of legend supposed to be a new member of the great western king class?

I see thanks and uh sorry for calling it a king class locomotive like king George the fifth, Eddie the second and Eddie the first
Nice, looks good, but why haven't they put any lettering on the tender?
Thanks, I can only guess there wasn't enough time. Watch this space I'm sure we'll see it with at some point
