I got to say that I am always surprised you were able to keep the video take in such a good shape. I think all mine broke and had a run. HAHAHA. The most important think I still cannot understand is how the heck is it that there are so much less people there in the 1995 time frame compared to now. HAHA. 👍👍👍
Very nice collection of video scenes of the park from nearly 30 years ago. A note you might find interesting. The original Jaws ride (June to August 1990) was a bit different from the one shown here. The ride underwent major refurbishment for two years to the form you see it in this video. The main differences were that right after the boathouse, the shark actually bit down on the front of the boat and dragged it across the lagoon. Also, at the end of the ride, instead of the the shark frying itself on a cable, the skipper would actually shoot a grenade down it's throat, blowing it up. Yes, it actually simulated blowing up the shark, throwing chunks of "shark meat" and blood into the air in a huge geyser. I always thought that was a better finale. Not sure why they wanted to change it.
@Vulpine407 The original Jaws ride looked so amazing when if first opened (especially when the shark got hold of the boat) but they had major problems with the ride breaking down constantly which wasn't great for the park! Universal pulled the plug on the ride in August 27th 1990, just 10 weeks after the grand opening of USF, shorty after Universal filled a Law Suit against the Ride Manufactures, If you would like more information there is a great book available called "Adventures in Amity Tales from the Jaws Ride" which goes into great detail and available from Amazon
@@DisneyDave Yep. IIRC, the contractor group that got sued was called "Ride and Show" -though I'm not 100% certain of that. They got sued over several rides including Earthquake and Kongfrontation. Again, IIRC.
Theme parks of 30 years ago would bore people to death these days. However, at that time they were perfect for our needs!

I may be wrong, but I can't think of any remaining attractions with large volumes of fires and explosions comparable to Kong, Jaws, Earthquake and the stunt shows. I miss the slight singe of heat on my face!
@ridetrackx that’s what made USF such an amazing experience I can still clearly remember riding Kong, Jaws & Earthquake for the first time & feeling that heat on my face, it was incredible!! 🔥👌👏🙌

@alternativegirl25 The Casper section was the best, I love seeing film props etc so this was great to see, Universal Studios Florida were always putting these on, I also remember them doing the same with The Flintstones, Jurassic Park, the Mummy and more

@@DisneyDave I think it's good and bad. The additional frame rate is good, but the AI kind of ruins the dark shots. What do you use to upscale by the way?
@@Tom_Morrow1994 Agreed, that maybe down to me because I didn't fine tune the dark section in the colour correction edit process 👍 re your upscale question, I used Topaz Video AI
This was Universal at its peak. Nintendo, Harry Potter, and what other IP they gobble up can't compete with 90s universal.

Have you been to The Funtasic world of Hanna-Barbera, Nickelodeon studios, Alfred Hitchcock experience and Back to the Future the ride and have you got the whole pov experience?
@dragondaveltd1992 I've got a couple of other videos with Nickelodeon Studios and the Alfred Hitchcock experience on my channel, But stayed away from filming Hanna-Barbera and BTTF, because one, they used to come out terrible when I filmed video screens and two, because I didn't want to get into trouble and get kicked out of the park if they caught me filming lol
